Nice. New IPA from Aussie BiF 2. Thanks to bluebetty.
Bottle conditioned and it shows. Glowing reddish gold when held to light. Too cloudy to see through (I'm sure there's a word for that) but looks good. Head is quite thin but has good stability.
Interesting aroma. Bready marmalade. Striking how easy I am picking that out. Not usually what I expect in an IPA but there you go. Yup, sweet bread and marmalade.
Big and bold. Lots of hop character matched with near equal amounts of malt. Actually covers up the abv quite well. Unfortunately this combination muddles the hops which should be the focus.

7.7 ABV clear copper color with a one finger off white head. Good sticky lacing. Passionfruit and tropical notes in the nose. Nice Thin and watery taste and feel. Not overly hoppy but workable. Workable first offfering from them.
Note: That was first commercial batch that was released. Since then batches have gotten much better.
A brewery worth taking a look at

Thanks to mulder1010 for this one, 330ml into a Lost Abbey tulip.
Glowing amber-orange appearance with a decent white foam on top. The foam leaves plenty of spots as it recedes.
Smell is quite profound. Passionfruit is the main thing, with a bit of dank pine and tropical fruit there as well.
Taste has pretty much the same thing going on with less intensity. Passionfruit dominates with a tiny touch of mango.
On the thinner side, so the bitterness really stands out at that ABV as well. Needs more malt to balance this out.
Hopefully this is just the start for this new brewery in Parramatta. A bit of room to improve on this, but a decent start. Looking forward to heading just 15 minutes down the road for growler fills of this and some of their other stuff when they open in a couple of months time.

A - thin creamy white head, dark orange brown amber, spotty lace.
S - lots of citrus, cumquat, Mandarin, orange, honey, booze.
T - big tangy marmalade, orange peel, honey, fairly big and the warmth comes through.
M - full syrupy body, moderate carbonation.
O - nice fruity ipa, would have again if the opportunity arises.

Bottle thanks to Daniel in the Aussie BIF 2.
Hazy orange amber colour with a small, white head. Fair head retention.
Nice citrussy hop aroma. Some small bits of sweeter malt. A nice balance.
Nice balance of hops and malt. Moderate bitterness. Good tropical fruit and orange flavour. The malt could be a little lighter on but I do find that it works nicely.
Medium body with moderately high carbonation. Good.
A solid IPA. The flavours are nice and I could see this being a regular beer for me if I had easy access to Riverside.

Another brew with thanks to Mulder1010 and pours a hazy bright orange hue with a tight white creamy two finger head and clingy lacing here and there, the smell is kiwifruit, guava, lychee, peach sorbet and bubblegum, the mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation and has tastes of peaches, bubblegum, guava, light citrus, caramel candy and finished with a passionfruit bittersweetness and overall its not bad and hides the high ABV well but no wow factor cheers.

330ml bottle purchased from Porters at Northwood, to catch up with my reviewin'.
Pours a rather deep amber colour, almost straddling the line between an IPA colour and a Red Ale colour. Head is a mild, slightly frothy off-white with tinges of pale orange to it. Pocked bubbles form, as does some pleasant streaking lace. Body looks pretty decent, and the carbonation that forms when tilted is powdery. Looks good.
Nose is blissfully hoppy, with a clear, crisp and extremely delicious piquant citrus bite. Fresh lime skin, papaya and passionfruit, along with sweet lemon tart. Fresh apricot comes through, along with a floral, perfumey character. Under it all is a hint of something slightly toasty but fresh and bright at the same time: like some popped grains when toasting a slice of bread on a contact grill. It works brilliantly with the hops, giving a really pleasantly balanced aroma. Lovely stuff.
Taste is seriously restrained for all the exciting power on the nose. Mild clean malt runs alongside a clear, continuing hop presence that doesn't ever even really get to "bitter". Some of those fresh, fruity overtones on the nose, but they seem to exist more as aroma even in the mouth. Finish is crisp enough, but it trails off slightly rather than tying off the loose ends with a good punch of bitterness.
Feel is lovely, however, with the extra ABV forming a pillowy softness that perhaps accentuates how light the palate is just because it could take so much more of a beating.
Do not misunderstand me: this is a very good beer, and a fantastic Australian IPA (in fact, it might be the best Australian IPA I've had). But I feel like it could do with *more* bitterness on the palate, and this is coming from someone who's quick to criticise too much early-hopping. Maybe that's just a sign of how good it is, that it could cope with even more aggression.
