12 oz bottle courtesy of fthomasl pours a crystal clear copper color with a stiff, off-white head. Nice retention and some decent lacing. Honestly, you really cant ask for more on the appearance with the brilliant clarity and dense foam.

Nose has some sulfurous lager yeast, burnt toast and toffee. Im not really getting any hops in here. Smells ok, but I am not a huge fan of overly toasty brews.

Taste has alot of the toast but it is balanced by a sweet doughy caramel. Hops are still pretty non-existent but there is a light drying bitterness on the finish, a little leafy even. Its a fairly good lager, one I would be happy to order on tap at a restaurant, but it really doesnt do a whole lot to distinguish itself from the pack of vienna lagers. If I had the choice Id rather grab a Penn pilsner, Firebrick or Elliot Ness.

A: Pours a clear reddish/orange color. A pillowing white head rises, and eventually recedes to a ring. Plenty of lace is left behind.
S: I get kind of a sulfur, DMS aroma up front. Quickly followed by toasted malts, and cereal grains. A bit of grassy hops in the finish.
T: Sweeter than I was expecting. Caramel malts followed by toasted and cereal grains. Well balanced with a touch of grassy hops in the finish.
M/D: A light to medium body. A bit on the watery side for me. I am wanting a little bit more crisp bite from the carbonation, and I am not getting it. Easy to drink and fairly enjoyable. I will be happy to finish the six pack.

A good lager for the most part. Not among the better lagers available from Texas breweries, but still very enjoyable. One of my favorite styles, and I am glad to grab a sixer.

Poured into a snifter because I want to be able to properly assess all the intricacies of a Vienna lager.

Comes out a oranger/slightly amber with a white head.

Some toffee, caramel, and bready type of malt character and some spicy and grassy noble hop. Basically a good straightforward aroma you are looking for.

There is a nice hit of bitterness from the hops. You get those lagery malt character. A little grassy and coppery. There is a little toastiness to it which is cool but overall pretty meh.

Light-medium bodied crisp beer. I guess this a good replacement for BMC if you live in Dallas. I would drink pretty much every other beer Lakewood makes over this though.

Tap at Jack Mac's.

The beer pours an orange-copper color with a white head. The aroma is very malty with some biscuit and bread notes, as well as some toffee and a bit of sugar. The flavor is also very malty. There is good toffee and caramel in the flavor, as well as some sweet biscuit malt. There is also a hint of grass. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
