look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4
Appearance: Arrives with a nice looking inch of foam on the clear amber liquid; decent retention and lacing
Smell: Spicy and grainy, with an herbal cast to the earthy hops; a hint of treacle underneath
Taste: Quite herbal, at the outset, with a piney/earthy hop character developing by mud-palate; there is a hint of malt in the middle, but the finish is about the yeasty phenols mixing with the hops
Mouthfeel: Medium body with spritzy carbonation
Overall: A very different take on the style, with a distinct herbal character that dominates; line the way the mouthfeel enhances the flavor, as well

Pours a nice orange hue, hazy, lacy. Off white head. Light spicy hop/yeast notes, floral hops, some citrus notes. Slight breadiness as well. Taste has a medium bitterness, orange and citrus, spicy, herbal hops, soft Belgian yeast esters, light sweet maltiness. Medium body, slickness, light oily texture and good carbonation.
I believe that Trappist yeast is definitely different than you standard Belgian ale yeast, and for this reason, I really enjoyed this. Normal Belgian yeast is too much for me usually, but this imparted great character.
