This beer pours a very dark amber, almost brown, with an average head, The aroma is dank, oily, and resinous, with loads of pine, cannabis, orange peel, caramelized brussle sprouts, and caramel. The flavor is heavy with resinous flavor of pine and cannabis, with dark cherry, caramel, creme brulee top, and wood. The mouthfeel is actually quite light, with a sticky finish and foamy carbonation. Overall this is a nice beer, but it has some odd stewed flavors, reminiscent of caramelized vegetables. Not a fully bad thing in my book, but a bit off for the style.

Beer pours a rich mohogany and caramel colour. Smells like a punch in face of hops, grapefruit rind, light malts, and more hops. Tastes very balanced and relatively medium-bodied, grapefruit rind pithiness, fresh resin-y hops, and refreshing.

The 4 pack I got was completely flat coming out of the can. I emailed Bent and heard back from Bartley. One bad 4 pack won't discourage me from buying again.

From a 16oz can:
Appearance: clear brownish-red, ok head.
Smell: Moderate citrus aroma.
Taste: Caramel sweetness balanced with moderate citrus bitterness. Some tannic notes.
Overall: Picked up a 4 pack of this DIPA from Bent. It is OK, not bad, not great. Kind of tastes like Arrogant Bastard Ale, but turned down about 3 ticks. Technically this is the anniversary version but I figure it is very similar to the standard version.

Had at the taproom and in cans.
Color is an inviting dark red\ruby. Head is small and leaves little lacing.
Smell is of dank hops. It is made from a variety of all Minnesota hops and they said at the taproom that it changes year to year depending on availability and amount. Lots of citrus but very floral.
This beer tastes great, loads of citrus on the front with a great caramel malt backbone. Bitterness comes through strong but not over the top. No hint of alcohol for the high ABV.
Has a great mouthfeel, carbonation is perfect for this style.
Overall is this one of my favorite DIPA's and since its a seasonal I try to get as much as I can. Another great thing is that its made from all Minnesota ingredients so that's something to enjoy as well.
