No visible date. Straight from delivery pallet @ Platinum.
Pours an amazing black n tan. One finger head of coarse bubbles seems alive with the bubbles breaking. Sadly, the head dies leaving no lacing no film no nothing.
Aromas of roast malts, a little wood / cigar box.
Taste is not quite as sweet as the name suggests. An initial hit of bitterness, is followed by a roast malt backbone. Some chocolate/coffee. A hint of walnut.
Mouthfeel is a surprise. For a beer which is almost flat, there is a tingly spritzy feeling on your tongue. Light bodied. Not quite watery but nearly.
Overall, not quite as good as suggested... dont get the sweetness.

Picked this up at the biggest beer store in the UK, Beers of Europe Ltd. Dark brown, nearly black pour with a tinge of mahogany when held to the light. One finger head that quickly faded with minimal lacing. The nose definitely leans more towards sweet than roasty with hints of dark fruit, vanilla, milk chocolate, and caramel with just a touch of banana. The taste is a bit more complex than the nose, but still leaning to the sweet side. Dark chocolate, dark fruits, and coffee dominate along with hints of bubblegum, toffee, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and not as creamy as I was expecting, with a nice subtle bitter, smooth finish. Not really all that familiar with the style, and it was a little too sweet for my liking, but a solid offering nonetheless.

This was an unusually bland beer. The initial pour was nice, with a big thick head over very dark black beer. Lacing is really lacking on the way down.
The smell is almost non-existent. Maybe a tiny touch of roasted malt but that's it.
Taste is very mellow roasted malts. Nothing exciting. Nothing to clamor about. It gets slightly more sweet as it heats up. A little sweet rum flavor to go with the maltiness. Probably a good introductory beer for someone branching out from macro brews.

Poured virtually black, thin dark head that left little/no lacing. Smell was a hard to pick up on, but consisted mostly of the roasted tones and those of alcohol- an almost wine like essence. Tasted good, screamed of roasted malt and bitter chocolate. The overall feel could have been creamier considering the style. Overall good beer, but the job I purchased it for (to pour over vanilla ice cream) was better suited for a stout counterpart.

Gravity halfpint at the Jerusalem Tavern.
A: Looks black, but glows a clear magenta when held up to light; frothy of-white head; mediocre retention, no lace. Pretty average.
S: Rather sweet, very chocolatey - like a chocolate bar with sea salt added to accentuate the sweetness. Simple, direct, and entirely pleasant.
T: Chocolate, caramel, cream, more chocolate, and a smooth bittersweet finish. Not boozy in the least. Darn tasty.
M: Smooth, slick, and a bit light in both carbonation and body.
O: This one was definitely lacking in mouthfeel and appearance, but it was still one of the most purely enjoyable cask beers I had in London. So many English stouts and porters just seem weak to me, and it was fantastic to find one that delivered serious richness without sacrificing its signature real ale softness.
Cheers!

Black colour, with a brown-coffee head, not too big for a stout, also it doesn't hold as much as other stouts, though it leaves a ring that never dissappears. Fantastic smell, dark fruits, licorice, chocolate, roasted malts, hints of vanilla, caramel, some mocha. Medium body, sweet in tongue. Taste Is kind the same of the aroma: dark fruits, chocolate, caramel, mocha... Maybe to sweet for a stout, but it makes a difference. I think I'll buy some more of this one.

served from a bottle
A - thin brown tinted head that dissipates pretty quickly. Dark crisp looking body, looks like a Coke.
S - light creamy vanilla smell, but a little faint.
T - smooth taste, cream with a little of a wine feel to it. Taste wasn't there as I expected from a milk/sweet stout.
M - goes down nice. Light carbonation. Has a smooth feel on the palette.
O - it was ok, almost felt like drinking a wine though. Didn't get the flavor or sweetness I was expecting from a sweet stout.

Poured into a snifter.
Pours with barely a finger of tan head over a very dark body. Even with strong light only thin highlights of red are visible.
Smells of licorice, dark chocolate, dark fruit cake, and mocha. A very interesting and inviting aroma. Some swirling brings out a touch of hops and a dab of banana.
The flavor starts off tasting like a chocolate covered espresso bean dipped in a chocolate malt. The hops are present and are mingled with a surprising amount of yeast flavor, straying into estery ripe fruit territory.
This beer is on the line between medium and full bodied, but isn't heavy in any sense. The carbonation is slightly lower than normal but still prickles.
Conclusion: I don't know what to make of this beer. It is quite good, and a very fine English stout. My first sip blew me away and I thought it might be a new favorite, but after the glass was drained I wasn't was sure. If anything, I like this beer because it is interesting and different from the usual fare.

poured into a snifter. I took the pleasure to write this review while i am sippin on this beer.
Poured a thick and foamy 3 finger head which helds its own for a good while and left a good amount of lacing behind. Smells of bananas, taffee and a bit of booze. The taste says bananas and or fruit till the end. Kind of strange for a stout, wasn't expecting this at all. Finishes bitter with a hint of toffee barely hitting the palate before it leaves an oily presence behind in the palate.
Overall I am not quite sure what i think of this stout. Different? Yes. Bad? No. Will acquire again to see what my thoughts are in the future.

St. Peter's Cream Stout - saw the bottle on the shelf and I just knew I had to sample this bad boy.
Appearance - a beautiful dark brown that is barely see through. The head even has a great mocha color on it.
Smell - Instead of cream I pick up a nutty and subtle cue of earthy hints
Taste - A mellow stout taste that lives up the expectations on the lable. Much more to it than a cream, but more of a chill nutmeg.
Mouthfeel - Great mouthfeel that follows well with the taste
Overall - A great flavor and a great beer. An everyday beer? Maybe not but great for a winter's night.

Pours rich and very dark brown with no light penetration. Espresso-colored head sits a long time atop with a creamy texture to it.
Smell is roasted malt and caramel primarily with a wee dram of vanilla hiding in the back.
Taste is rich and smooth with notes of roasted malt, coffee, caramel and some lighter notes of dark fruits, whiskey and wheat.
Full bodied, light effervescence. A nice warming aspect to it mostly at the back of the mouth and tongue. Finish is smooth and mellow. Nice stuff all around.

I poured a bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance- Black with two fingers worth of tan head that didn't take very long to disappear. Fair amount of lacing.
Smell- Roasted malt and a hint of fruit.
Taste- Slightly sweet at first that turns into a coffee like bitterness at the finish. Hints of chocolate throughout.
Mouthfeel- On the light end of full bodied and smooth with a creamy texture. Lightly carbonated.
Overall- Enjoyable but it could use a little improvement. Needs a little more carbonation.

Poured from the bottle into a standard pint glass.
Appearance: Pours an almost opaque dark brown with just a layer of off white head that goes away completely.
Smell: Mildly sweet roast with a creaminess to the sweet smell. Some caramel and dark fruit mixed in.
Taste: The roast is a tad more bitter than the smell would have suggested. The creamy sweetness is there, but the roast kind of overpowers it.
Mouthfeel: Just on the thick side of medium with very mild carbonation and a dry finish.
Overall: Not a bad stout, but I would have liked the taste to be smoother.

A: dark coffee like appearance. Served in classy looking pseudo wine bottle. Slight lacing to it. The name is emblazoned on the bottle. Nice touch. Very nice head from the bottle.
S: a bit like taffee. Noticeable hints of chocolate to it. Welcoming and grabs your attention.
T: delicious. Slight coffee but not overpowering, smooth and full chocolate taste. Very enjoyable.
M: crisp taste at first, fades smoothly on tongue and leaves mouth with sensation of biting into a good piece of dark hersheys. Leaves warm and desirable feeling on tongue. Asks for repeat performance.
I
O: a good choice overall. I selected it randomly after seeing it on menu and checking reviews here. Very tasty. Enjoyed it as after dinner treat with my buddy at local pub. Would recommend for someone looking for a flavorfull beer that won't overwhelm the taste buds. Really liked how it meshed well as night was winding down.

The beer appears a deep, dark brown with a lasting beige head. The aroma brings a light roast, chocolates, English malts. I have always enjoyed this beer. I haven't had it in a while, and I am reminded how much I like it. Silky smooth and creamy feel. Chocolate and a delicate roast character, finishing with a milk chocolate creaminess. Lingering notes of chocolate and mild bittering hops. Light bodied and remarkably easy to drink, though I am a huge fan of this style. Overall, a solid beer to which I will return.

Poured into a pint glass. Reviewed alongside Samuel Adams Cream Stout.
A: Dark brown/black with a one-finger, off-white, creamy head that lasted a couple of minutes. Okay lacing.
S: Roasted malt and chocolate.
T: Moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Cream-soda-like taste. I taste milk, cream, and chocolate more than roasted coffee, which is good.
M: Medium bodied with soft/fizzy carbonation. Smooth, but not too smooth. Could be creamier.
O: This is an above average cream/milk stout, and I love the bottle, but I did like the Sam Adams one better. Areas for improvement are the head and the mouthfeel. Still, a solid beer.

Poured from 16.9oz bottle into 330ml Corsendonk tulip glass.
Appearance: Pours dark cola in color with a large brownish head that dissipates quickly and leaves behind thick spots of lace.
Smell: Sweet milky chocolate with a roasted background and a touch of fruit.
Taste: Begins with sweet chocolate before slowly rounding out to roasted malt flavors before finishing with a full on coffee bitterness that still hints at milk chocolate.
Mouthfeel: Fuller, slick body with a pleasant bite of carbonation and a milky, sticky finish.
Overall: A very good beer overall. A good after dinner beer or a nightcap.

This is a pretty fast beer, with a nice smooth creamy taste. Picked it up due to the cool bottle and I am glad I did...
T- chocolate is the biggest flavor and then sweet malts
M- very little carbonation. Almost flat, but I do lime the overall mouth feel.
S- sweet chocolate smell
Overall good beer. I will pick this up again.

A. it pours a deep brown nearly black color. produces a 1 finger head that dissipates quickly leaving very little lacing.
S. roasted malts, coffee, some sweet chocolate. the smell is pleasing.
T. it is slightly bitter at first then gets sweet as it goes down. I am getting bakers chocolate, roasted malts, and cream.
M. it is pretty light for a stout, but I am new to cream stouts. it has a very creamy-frothy feel to it. very pleasant.
O. I really enjoyed this beer. as I said I am new to cream stouts, but I liked it.

Pours nearly black with a thick, beige head that doesn't stick around for as long as I'd like, but overall the appearance is solid. The aroma has overtones of roasted malt and plum.
To me, it tastes like baker's chocolate mixed with skimmed milk. It's bitter for a "sweet" stout and I wouldn't describe it as particularly creamy in taste. I will say it has a creamy, viscous mouthfeel.
This is a difficult beer for me to rate because it's flavorful and because I find it enjoyable, but it wasn't what I was expecting for a cream stout. It still holds up well for a stout, though.

A: Dark brown with red highlights where it lets the light through. Nice light tan head.
S: Sweet roasted character on the nose.

I keep hearing good things about this one so I had to give it a try.
Pours dark dark brown with a good bit of dense head. I didn't note much lace but very thick and large.
Sweet hints of lactose are here, but I'm picking up an awful lot of hops, almost wondering why the beer is called a cream stout.
The flavor starts out a bit too englishy and earthy. As it warms and breaths it turns to a very citrus hop flavor with a nice coffee/dark chocolate flavor. I'm not generally a fan of the english beers, but this one seems to hit a nice place.
Creamy and with a good mouth feel.
I like this one enough to drink it on tap or for less than the 4.99 I spent on it. I don't think this is really a go to beer and perhaps it isn't meant to be. It is a good example of english flavors in a tout for the American who's not given beers from the other side of the pond a try.

Pours an inky-black to the casual observer, it's closer to a copper-tinged cola color when held to direct light. Either way, it looks a little bit mysterious and murky poured from 'the ol' medicine bottle'. Head is on the darker side of tan, and brown-tan, slightly rocky, and falls pretty fast leaving the barest touch of lace.
Smells almost medicinal, but with a touch of vanilla and sweet malt. Plummy... definitely smells sweet, with little to no bitterness and no hop presence to speak of. Notes of cocoa and molasses as well - above average for the style, I'd say.
The taste is bittersweet, lightly sour-tangy but with loads of sweet malt character and notes of cocoa, dark fruit (plum, prune), and light vanilla. Just a bit of warming alcohol feel (6.5% is strong for a British beer, no?)
Mouthfeel is lighter, with some scrubbing carbonation. Fairly average for the style, though with the strength and the lightness it give me the impression of 'dangerously drinkable'.
Overall it's quite nice -better than average for the style at the very least- and a nice sort of benchmark for the style, if you ask me. My significant other likes it as well - she loves stouts!
Two Stories: This one is just about the closest thing I can recall to the old flavor of Watney's Cream Stout. Granted, BeerAdvocate users in the U.K. are far less charitable to that defunct brewery than us gits across the pond, but there it is: this one brings that old favorite of mine nonetheless.
When I worked retail I had a guy who'd come and buy this one three cases at a time, cleaning us out with each visit! He rarely bought anything else. He later ended up as a neighbor, and I discovered that he rarely drank alcoholic beverages of any kind!

I do not like sweet beer. But this one manages to come off as slightly sweet but not at all sticky, with a nice dry finish. All at once pleasant Fuggles bitterness with a lush creamy chocolate flavor and mouthfeel. Mostly roasty malt in the nose, which is strong in the flavor profile along with the milk chocolate. Vague toffee; I got much less coffee than most other tasters. Not complicated or overly busy, just smooth and delicious. Highly recommended as liquid dessert!

Pours a rich dark blacker than black body with creme caramel coloured healthy head that laces nicely.
The aroma is fantastic, a confectioners dream liquorice, bonfire toffee, clotted cream fudge.
This sweet shop fantasy goes through to the flavour with bitter coffee to balance the dark candy fantasia with a creamy finish.
Rich and a little naughty I guess but not the icky treat your nose prepares you for, seven thumbs up
