I had this beer in the Ginger Man NYC. This review is taken from notes.
The beer is reddish with about two fingers of sticky foam when served. The foam sticks around for some decent lacing.
The nose is pretty sour, which sticks around really well for sipping. I also got some cherry in the flavor.
This makes for a challenging sipper; almost like a geuze.

Poured into a weizen glass a murky amber with some chunkies and floatiesswirling at the bottom of the glass,a nice looking large blooming slightly off white head atop that slowly settled into a frothy mass.Aromas have a bit of a warming tone to them, nutmeg and clove over top of bananas foster-like caramel notes,I don't get much sour and/or funk.Mild roasy coffee flavors to go along with caramel and banana, there is a light tart green apple-like note finish. The coffee adds just enough to the flavor profile to give it that added extra something, damn good and inventive.

On tap at Birch:
Yummy. Very different (obviously) from a typical Weizenbock-much more sour-but super tasty all the same. Very unique, woth trying. You will try . . . you will try. Excellent. Looking forward to more. So easy to drink. Has to be tasty with food too.

On-tap at Prime 16.
A: Clear deep amber body under a fine, persistent inch of tan head. Great lacing.
S: Lovely, assertive aroma of honey, banana, caramel, and herbal hops. A bit of acetone, in a good way. I'm into it.
T: Rich, sweet, and yeasty, with the caramelized banana from the aroma coming through in spades. Some spice, booze, and honey on the finish. Maybe a trifle too sweet, but delicious.
M: Soft, creamy, fairly full body. Lovely.
O: I was expecting something a little crazier, but this was just a delicious Weizenbock. Plain and simple.
Cheers!

From 08/30/12 notes. Had this on tap at Blind Tiger in NYC. Served in a 10 oz. tulip.
a - Pours a hazy reddish brown color with one inch of off white head and moderate carbonation evident.
s - Smells of sweet dark fruits, fruity malts, lightly sour fruits, sour cherries, light funk. Very nice sweet and sour fruity nose; I like it a lot.
t - Tastes of sour cherries, sweet dark fruits, wine, oak, fruity malts. Taste is more sour than the nose was, though still not too much sourness.
m - Medium body and moderate carbonation, body is pretty smooth. Doesn't feel like 7.5% ABV.
o - Overall a really nice weizenbock. Kind of a mix of a sweet fruit beer and a slightly sour cherry beer. Very easy to drink and something I'd certainly pick up a bottle of if I saw it in the store.

Enjoyed on tap at Ebenezer's. A good weizenbock, though not the best I have had. Good drinkability, smooth, tasty citrus. I would expect a fuller mouthfeel, however.Suitably carbonated.Fruity.A touch of cherry. A good head. A little sugary, Sweetish overall, glad I had it on tap.

750ml bottle poured in a snifter glass.
A: Pours a dark amber color with a big aired bubbled yellow head. Good retention and few lacings left
S: Citric on the nose. Fruity. Passion fruit. Delicious beer. Sweet caramel. Caramel malts and yeasts. Light coffee in the end
T: Caramel malts, candy sugar, citrus hops, sweet upfront and bitter citrus earthy end. Wheat? Maybe ... in overall, a mild sweet beer with a delicious bitter end
M: Creamy, heavy, molasses body. Medium carbonation. Pleasant bitter citrus aftertaste
O: Good drinkability. Excellent beer

Thanks to Beermasons for this and pours a murky blood orange hue which leaves a creamy dimple laden two finger head that stays and leaves nice lacing everywhere, the smell is banannas, sour cherries, nutmeg and funky yeast, the mouthfeel is medium bodied and has tastes of orange peels, banannas, wheaty bread, funky yeast, nutmeg, caramel,a touch of alcohol and finished with a full feel of blood oranges and a funky tartness and overall a nice example of the style and a pretty versatile drop that goes with most food cheers.
