This beer poured a cloudy golden brown, and looked very much like a hefeweizen. The head was significant, and left some thick lacing around the tpo of the glass. The taste was quite unique. The best way that I can describe the flavor is that the spices had an earthy quality. It's had to imagine making a spiced beer a session beer, but you should definately give this a try if you find it.

Interesting brew that I do not have much to compare to. Pours almost no head yet the carbonation was fairly balanced. The beer is very herbal, just a different kind of beer then I am used to. That said it was worth drinking.
Bottom Line: Expand your beer experience and give it a try.

12 oz bottle from Beermasons.
Violent pop on opening swing-top. Clear golden-straw with a decent white head that falls to a nicely rasisd curtain and film.
Odd soapy, lactic sourness, with underlying lemon pith and dried grass. Interesting notes of lavender and heather, with mild sweet esters floating around.
Again, the funky soapiness is about, but is less dominant, allowing in flavours of grapefruit, lemon, hay and some floral honey.
Light to medium mouthfeel, a tad oily with slightly spritzy carbonation leading to a moderately dry finish on the rear.
Constantly teetered over whether the soapy yeast character was appetising or not as I drunk this. Quite a unique beer that is far from boring.

Pours hazy pale amber with a small head.
Nose shows a mix of lemon, herbal notes, barnyard funk and doughy wheat. The funk is quite prominent.
Flavours include more brett and acidity followed by an astringent finish. Some lemon and wheat pokes it's head out.
Carbonation is suitably high, the body feels watery though.
Interesting, but a little the herbal notes and accompanying astringency are a little harsh.

11.15oz bottle served in a standard pint glass.
pours a murky dark yellow with a very small white head that quickly lapses into a collar around the glass; spotty lacing.
nose is marked by lemon and sage, a bit tart and some funk evident; notes of spice.
more of the same in the flavor but with a sweet malty presence in the background and some yeasty notes. sage is more subdued than the aroma suggested. some sour/tartness in the finish.
mouthfeel is decidedly "meh." medium-bodied, a bit thin and way under-carbonated. having perused a few other reviews i'm starting to question this bottle. drinkability isn't bad, it's not an offensive beer per se but i won't be seeking out another.

Another brew courtesy from beermasons and pours a hazy golden yellow hue which leaves a two finger head and nice lacing, the smell is sour barnyard funk, lavender, soap and honey ham,the mouthfeel is medium bodied and has tastes of sherbet, sour funk, floral bouquet, apples, lemongrass and finished with a mix of spicy hops and a sour funkiness and overall its definately a different unique brew but if you dont like sour beers then you might want to give this a miss cheers.

Bought a 33cl / 11.2 FL.OZ. bottle of this from The Wine & Cheese Place in Clayton, MO for $5.19. Poured from the bright yellow labeled bottle w/ the BFM lizard & a swing-top cork into a 0,47l New Belgium Oversized Snifter Glass. Has ???? on the top label.
Aroma- Very complexed and malt dominant. Has tons of citrus at the beginning and then musky and a good goaty note at the finish. Light spices are in here too.
Appearance- Pours a easy going, 1 finger head that dies quickly. Has a white, cloudy body but then glowing orange background! Cool! Tons of sediment hang out in the bottom of the glass. Leaves belgian style lacing afterwards (tons of suds and lace but fades after time).
Flavor- Overpowers the mouth with grapefruit and sweet malts from the beginning. A nice marriage of spices, fruit, and hop then come in mid-drink. A medium-high bitterness level hangs around in the complexity of the drink.
Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, Gritty, and then sweet fruits stay on the palate with some light spices.
Overall Impression- What a challenging brew to wrap your head around... Everything hit positive for me and would recommend trying this (especially for the price!). Many other brews from BFM are around $15-20 for a bottle but this is reasonable and has nice complexity! A Belgian spiced Ale I would call this one.
