We were staying the Kellogg Center and on our way to find some craft beer when my wife wanted to stop by the State Room to check on the times for breakfast. I looked in the lounge and saw 8 tap handles and a closer look revealed they were all Michigan Craft Beers! A nice selection, Short's Huma-Lupa-Licious, Tri-Cities Hell's Half Mile, Detroit Brewing's Shadler, The Livery's String of Ponies APA, Founder's Red Rye, Brewery Vivant's Imperial Saison and New Holland's Dragon Milk.

Since we weren't sure where else to go (and reviews for other places in walking distance weren't that great) we decided to stay and have few beers. We also tried the Bruschetta which was really good.

The place was mostly being visited by people in for conferences, no college students. Not a hopping place, but a quiet place to enjoy a few beers.

So, if you're looking for a place in East Lansing to have a few Michigan Craft Beers try the State Room Lounge.
