They call themselves the craft beer kings, which is kind of funny. the last time I went in there they had lots of hoppy beers sitting on warm shelves which was a big turn off for me. The location is kind of ghetto, you kow when you go into a store and the entire register area is covered with bullet proof glass you are in a terrible location. Their selection was nothing worthy of the craftbeerkings name, plus they the 2nd to last time I went in there they publicly displayed Utopias, so I asked to buy it and the owner, mike told me he would rather wait until his online store was up and running and try to sell it for double the price to someone else. So that ended it for me with them. My warning to all is to don't waste your time, go to Liquor Mart in Whittier or House Of Spirits in Monrovia. Better selection and better customer service.

I frequent the online store for these guys. While Denver has a great selection of beers, I shop at plaza market to get some rarer west coast beers I can't usually get my hands on without a steep trade. I am about 3 orders in and have received nothing short of excellent service. The manager Mike has called me directly a few times to discuss current and future inventory, and occasionally throws in some neat shwag like coasters and stickers. If you are on the cruise for some sweet brews, check out the plaza market!

Don't judge a book by its cover. So true when it comes to Plaza Market. Just a wonderful place in an undesirable neighborhood. Great selection, great service and very knowledgeable. I follow them on Facebook and Instagram and they post their inventory and specials daily, which gets me into trouble sometimes because, they have great stuff and I can't help myself.

A diamond in the rough. The I-605 corridor is not known as a beer destination, however there is a shop near the CA-60/I-605 interchange which has set itself apart from the norm. Plaza Market is one of many posterchilds for the term "Don't judge a book by its cover", as the exterior looks like any other Latino liquor market. I was at the right address, yet I remained a little skeptical. At the door I see a small sticker with "craft beer kings", eliminating some lingering anxieties. Walk in....interior looks small, the shelves stand high, where's the beer? I see a lot of beers stacked behind the register and its bullet-proof glass; is this how I have to buy my beer here? I walked a little further inside the store, jackpot!

The back aisle is all beer. All is refrigerated, the shelves look new, and sitting there are all sorts of brands. There's a door with single bottles and cans which you can use to make your own six-pack. Tens upon tens of different MIkkeller's, lots of Rogue, Almanac, Rochefort, Westmalle, Black Market, Clown Shoes, Cucapa, Firestone, Tap It, Speakeasy, Bootlegger's, The Bruery, Erdinger, Maui, Dogfish Head, Ommegang, Great Divide, Rennaisance, 8 Wired, Knee Deep, and a lot more. Behind the register (not refrigerated) are a combination of "easier to finds" (Epic - New Zealand) and "hard to finds" (Melange 3, Cascade). A very unique overall selection, and sizable as well.

You know service is good when it looks that the distributor on the sales floor attempts to help you look for a beer. Beers are lables with pricetags accordingly. At the register, service was taken to another level. The two people behind the counter not only sounded enthusiastic about beer, but offered their business card and Facebook page to keeo in touch about any offers which come around. Not only was I treated well, but they threw in a free glass for my purchase being over $50. No strings attacted to the latter, as prices are reasonable.

Great beers, great service, great store. I swear that I've seen this before in the San Gabriel Valley. Along with Walnut Liquorette and Lone Hill Liquor, El Monte's Plaza Market is a must stop in the region.

Followed these guys on instagram and realized they were local and decided to check them out.

The small parking lot and small town market look shouldn't deter you from venturing inside. Once you get past the chips and convenience store items, the back isle is really stunning. Looks like they went out and purchased some beautiful new refridgerated doors coolers to house their ever expanding selection of incredible craft beers. I was really amazed at the selection, and selection they had from many breweries. And the guys working, Moe and I can't remember the other cat's name, were ready to talk beer as long as I wanted to.

Glad to have found this place...and as much as I want to get the word out, I also want it to stay small enough to be my personal stash place. But really...I hope they are around for a while.

Cheers Brothers!

This liquor store recently had a major renovation with the addition of several coolers for craft beer. The owner is also constantly increasing the availability of some pretty good craft beer, sold at a really great price. I would recommend checking their Facebook for the updated stock.

It feels like a typical "latino" liquor store with clients coming in and out for different reasons. When you hit the back area and notice some of the offerings It's amazing this place doesn't get flooded with beer nerds. I wanted to hold this place hidden due to the exclusive beers you might find there, but the owner has nice giveaways like glassware and Ice and is always very friendly and open to conversation. The owner really is a cool guy that will talk to you about craft beer and recommended still while telling you of beers that sucked.

I would recommend this spot due to the ever increasing supply of craft beer you can't find at places like Total Wine or Bevmo. I work freelance all over Los Angeles and have hit up the highly rated spots available like Vendome, Beverage Warehouse, Ramirez Liquor, Signal Hill ect. This place ranks as one of the best.
