Huge selection of beers, especially American microbrews. Nice collection of European bombers as well, and some rare sixpacks. And, everything is kept cold. I've been picking up a dozen or so from this place every week for the last couple of months while I work down in NJ. However, I did notice during my last trip there in early January that they were running low on a lot of things, with a lot of empty spaces in the coolers. Perhaps they're awaiting a winter shipment? Oh, and service is sort of non-existant as well.

This BuyRite location is an easy detour of this section of 95 that sits about halfway between Philly and Newark.
It is located in a nondescript building with beat up old carpeting and fixtures. After entering, turn left to make your way towards the beer. Stacked on the floor are various bombers, some from small New Jersey breweries, others from the US and abroad. The fridge has a pretty good selection of 6 packs, with more bombers, and a fairly expansive collection of chilled single 12 oz bottles. Some brands I recall are Terrapin, New Holland, Flying Fish, Brooklyn, Epic, Victory, Unibroue, Mikkeller and others.
The prices are reasonable and the staff did not come by to lend any suggestions during my leisurely shopping. But, I did walk away with some beer that I don`t get in CT, so it was a worthwile stop.

Jersey's about as good a place for buying beer as any in the world. As part of the Philadelphia-area the market is flush with quality products from the West Coast, Europe and everywhere else. However, it's free of PA's ridiculous laws and taxes.
Super Saver is one of those places that exemplifies this fortune.
Most of the staff really isn't knowledgable or paid to care, but there are a few helpful folks. Most stay out of your way, which is nice. The distribution here is top notch. I've found some real rarities, even aged ones.
I really like this place for its convenience and selection. Check it out!

This is the second time I have visited this diamond in the rough. This place is in a pretty remote location. If you intentionally plan your trip around visiting, then it is not hard to get to. It is right in the middle of the state.
Over half of this store is dedicated to beer. The beer is really well organized. Every beer has it's proper section. Most of the beer is already chilled. Along one wall is individual bottles. If you get at least six, then it is 10% off. This is probably the biggest selection of 12 oz. individual bottles purchasable individually that I have ever seen. Their bomber selection is pretty limited, but overall there is a very large selection.
Be careful though, some bottles may be expired. That happens at this store.

Im re-reviewing Super Saver after a recent visit on St. Patricks Day. I went in looking to build two mixed sixes of all stouts and schwarzbiers. When i entered and began looking I was approached by an employee to ensure I found everything ok, which was the first time thats happened there. Ok so i knew what I was looking for but he offered some new info. They have revamped the place a bit. They now have a larger selection of all beers particularly including foreigns and higher quality beers. They have brought in more quality domestic stuff and added a long bomber bottle rack opposite the singles fridge line. The employee was very friendly and let me break down ANY 4 or 6 pack I pleased. I was happy to know ANYTHING was up for a mix 6. Apparently they will be holding tastings on Fridays and they have more beer on the way. I was impressed. I also made out with a couple Samichlaus bottles from 2000 at a VERY good price. I am now much more anxious to return and see whats up next.

Staff isnt very helpful or knowledgeable regarding any of the products they have at the store. Originally when I first found this place after it was taken over by Super Saver, it seemed like it was on the up and up but my recent visit was a dissapointment. Some/a lot of the inventory is quite dusty and old, which can be great for special finds, but not all the time, especially for your lower ABV/non-cellaring beers. Despite the above, it is still a good hidden gem on the Pennington Circle in NJ. Good spot to hit up on the way to the NJ Shore. Found some pretty exciting bottle like Weyerbacher Prophecy, Sam Adams Millenium, etc.

Beer lovers should hang an immediate left upon entering and head right on back past the liqueurs. That is where the beers are. The wall on your left is the single bottle cooler. Go to the end of it and pick up a 6-pack carrier. Fill it and get 10% off each bottle. Warning, a lot of those carriers are 4-pack holders. You need to get 6 to get the discount. The other coolers hold six packs and more. Not everything in the single bottle cooler has a representative in 6-pack country and vice versa, so explore both. Definitely explore the displays in the middle of everything. Bombers from DFH, Rogue, Allagash, a variety of Belgian Breweries and more are displayed. I found a DFH Pangaea, which I had lost hope of finding until the next release.
There is always staff around asking if you need help and the ones there when I was there were pretty beer-knowledgeable.
The best part of this place is the single bottle cooler. Yes, they're all cold, but beer skunking due to cooling down and warming back up and cooling again is a complete myth...get over it. There are many beers I want to try, but don't want I don't want to spring for a full 6 or a bomber, so this is perfect for experimenting.
The bad: check dates on beers that don't have a major shelf life. This place is pretty out-of-the-way for most people and does not get as much traffic as Booton Liquor Outlet, Gary's Wines or Oak Tree in South Plainfield, NJ, but it's worth the trip.

I've been using Super Savers Wine in Pennington for a while now, used to be called Circle Liquors I believe. It's located right on a circle in Pennington NJ. My first couple visits to SSW wasn't that impressive...but pretty average. Then I realized, on a specific visit, that I wasn't taking the time to really look around. The line-up of refridgerators contians a pretty good craft beer selection, from most of the Trappist Belgian beers, to big name IPAs, stouts, and barleywines! Then, I started to realize that SSW does have a non-fridged selection, and there is where I proceeded to find some gems...aged beers, including some Cantillons and Fantomes. I was fortunate enough to have some long conversations with the staff, and the beer manager is VERY well knowledgable in the world of beer, which is nice to know. Pricing is also VERY reasonable...I would even have to say inexpensive when you compare some prices to other local stores. A very cool place for beer, liquor, and wine...and is now on my beer route!

My receipt calls this place Circle Liquor Super Saver.
Stopped back after visiting a friend in Pennington, NJ for New Years Eve. This place had a big sign off of I-95 so I had planned on seeking it out if i had time just to compare with my usual stops. I knew the area pretty well as I worked in NJ for about 10 yrs over seven years ago. I used to go to the bank off the circle so I knew of the liquor store but it had been some time.
It was New years day and the two young guys working there didnt want to be there (even with the ability to watch the bowl games on the TV). But who can blame them, i mostly like to look around on my own. There is still plenty for sale that I havent tried.
I was suprised by the large selection of imports from Russia, Poland, etc., beyond the usual selection of English and German beers.I was thrilled to be able to buy singles of some PA beers i cant get in MD such as Yards and Newbold as well as certain varieties of certain brands.
Overall the prices were very reasonable. I was suprised to find some prices lower than the prices I find in MD.

Stopped in here on the way back to Princeton from a wedding in PA. I had already crossed off some of my list of beers I can't get back home (see Cold Spring Beverages in Yardley PA) and wanted to see if there were any others to be had.
This is a good sized wine and beer store (maybe liquor as well). One side is filled with beer coolers (~30 doors) along with large format bottles in the middle. A very good selection, picked up a bunch of Victory, a 12 of Dale's, a 4 pack of 10 Fidy, a couple of others I can't remember and ~5 bombers. The cashier mentioned that it was too bad we weren't there on the last weekend because one of the bombers had been selling as a holiday pack (bomber and glass) for the same price. She went in back to see if they had any more left. No luck, but I thought it was nice she looked.
My wife paid, so I don't know why, but I got 10% off of everything, maybe a case discount.
The place is less than a mile off I-95 (it shows up on google maps), worth checking out.
