22oz brown bomber with a freshness date.

Hazed pale amber color, leaves several rings of lace on the glass. Smells of thick semi-dank hop resin, stone fruit, alcohol and toasted bread. Big smoothness, extremely bitter, harsh alcohol, oily hop, fresh grass, yeasty, vegtal, tobacco, persimmons, melon rind and a very bitter alcoholic finish.

A bit of a hot mess, hoppiness runs amuck and barely drinkable ... a chore to sip. Ok enough to share with some friends but that is about it.

A: The beer is quite hazy yellowish amber in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose along with strong notes of underlying caramel malts.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste is quite hoppy, having flavors of citrusy hops and strong notes of caramel malts. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an interesting beer—it's kind of like a very hoppy American Barleywine but lighter in body compared to other barleywines due to the use of wheat malts.

Picked up a bomber from Opperman's Cork 'n' Ale in Saginaw, MI yesterday for $4.99. Marked down from $8.99. The Associate (or maybe the owner) that checked me out indicated this was a pretty good beer so i felt pretty good walking out of there with a marked down strong ale.

Beer poured a hazy orange with a decent white head that is lasting pretty long.

Nose is full of citrus.

Taste is citrus and pine over a big malt backbone. Hops shine thru despite the obvious age on this brew. I am surprised it still is tasting as well as it does.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and pretty smooth.

Overall this reminds me of a smaller version of Devil Dancer. Given some of the previous reviews it sounds like it was over hopped when fresh and by the sounds of it needed some age on it. It is drinking quite fine despite it likely been not stored at a temperature that ranged from 65-75 at Opperman's for who knows how long.

22 ounce bottle with no bottle date. A grassy nose blends with citrus and sweet malt aromas. It pours hazy gold beer under a 1 inch foam off white cap that dissipates to a film that laces the glass with each drink. Item 9 is a big and bold that attacks with malt and caramel flavors quickly joined by citrusy hops and alcohol. The hop bitterness on the finish lingers through the aftertaste and is just this side of being harsh. The hops, alcohol and malt maintain a tenuous balance. This creamy, full bodied has medium soft carbonation.

this is cool beer, a tasty, if slightly generic strong ale. its loosely a double ipa, as its quite well hoppy, with flavors and aromas of dried mango and papaya, really nice. the hops are faded a little bit, this bottle isnt the freshest, and oxidation has started to creep in just a little, but i can see where this awesome. nice big barley malt middle, fluffy in feel and sturdy enough for all the hops on the back end. i havent had much beer from these guys, so its a pretty impressive introduction. i love all that interesting hop character in the finish without much bitterness. the booze shows through a bit, and the carbonation isnt as perky as it could be, but i do like it quite a bit. definitely a bottle to share with someone or two, but this has gotten me motivated to find more beer from these guys. very solid example of the style

Poured from a Bomber into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a fruit aroma with a slightly off-putting metallic aroma. Appearance- Pours a dark orange with a lot of sediment. Taste- Average malt flavored beer. Palate- A heavy bodied beer with mild carbonation, sort of syrupy Overall- an average beer, the label is the best part of this beer.
