Pours a hazy orange marmalade color with a two finger off white head with good retention and a lot of lacing. The aroma has grapefruit, citrus zest, tangerines, and pine.

There is plenty of grapefruit and citrus zest in the flavor, along with pine, grapefruit pith, and little to no malt. Wow. Nice bitterness for this beer, but it isn't overwhelmingly bitter. Just a lot of nice citrus and pine flavor.

Medium bodied, resinous, with average carbonation and long bitter finish. This is a nice bitter beer, that doesn't go to far with the bitterness, but goes right to the edge. A very nice beer.

the beer pours a straw yellow with almost no head. the nose is sweet with a big punch of citrus to the face. the taste is juicy, dripping, hoppy bitterness that is reminiscent of sucking on a grapefruit rind. The mouhfeel incrediby bitter with relatively little sweetness as a buffer. it's definitely a citrus (grapefruit) forward IPA that has guts for a canned IPA. I'd definitely try this beet in the future.

Thanks to haveanother1 for sending this over in a trade.

A: Pours a hazy golden orange, with a huge 2.5 fingers width of light khaki colored head. Leaves a good amount of lacing.

S: Really nice aroma here. Strong citrus notes, followed by big dank, resinous characters. A touch of sweet malts as well.

T: Very unique taste, almost minty. Lots of spice, rather herbaceous, a good amount of bitterness. Really not much citrus characters and almost none of the sweetness that was on the nose.

M/D: Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation, good drinkability.

O: Overall, not a bad beer. Great aroma, which the taste doesnt quite live up to. Very unique flavor though, and certainly worth a try.

Appearance: Hazy orange, good head.

Smell: Strong citrus rind aroma.

Taste: Tingly, quite bitter, lots of citrus rind dryness. Hint of sweetness underneath. Moderate body.

Overall: I'm impressed with my first Indeed beer. Very solid APA here, seems to have the bitterness of a bigger beer while not getting too heavy. I like the cans too. Could be a good year round beer, I'd pick this if it was head to head with Summit's pale ale at a bar.

A: Very cloudy orange/dark yellow with a bubbly white head. A few floaties.

S: Very hop forward. Lots of sweet citrus hops, ripe grapefruit. A bit tropical. Some bready malts punching through the backend.

T: Lots of hop, pretty bitter for a APA, but not overwhelmingly bitter. Citrus, and pine hops dominate. Fairly spicy hops, a bit too much for my liking. Somewhat resinous. No sweetness or fruitiness to be found in the hop or malt profile other than dry citrus. Some bready/cracker like malts near the finish. Dry finish that lasts fairly long and bitter.

M: medium body. Average carbonation. Feels a bit slick.

O: Pretty good. Average drinkability considering the style and abv. Wish it tasted more like it smells.

Light amber color with a slight chill haze. One finger of head forms and quickly settles to a thin skim of suds. Just a few specks of lacing is left down the glass. Certainly not the most impressive pale ale out there.

Really hoppy aroma that is dank with some citrus hints. Some bready malt sneaks its way past the hop aromas.

Definately West Coast inspired. Hops dominate the flavor. Hints of citrus, pine, and a deep dankness. Quite bitter and any sweetness from the malt hardly makes an impact.

I feel the beer could use more carbonation to cut through the bitterness. It is chewy for a beer with this ABV. A trade off of sorts.

Not as impressive as Indeed's great Midnight Ryder. The drinkability is just not here. Too bitter and one dimensional for my tastes. Definately for lovers of West Coast type of pale ales.

Tasted 22 November 2012, reviewed from notes.

Pours a medium orangey amber, not exactly pale, but pale-ish. Clear all the way through, which lets me see the big column of bubbles rushing up. One finger of off-white head, decent retention and lacing.

Smell is smooth and hoppy. Hops are really resinous, a bit of pine, and a touch floral. Supportive malts, providing a great base. Nothing sticks out, no sharp edges, just a really nice hoppy pale ale.

Taste is the low point. Mostly bland, with a hit of bitter topped with spice. Quite spicy, actually. I'm not sure exactly what else I want from it, but it's not doing it for me. Malts feel thin, just not enough. Needs more flavor other than the soft bitter.

Mouthfeel is fine. Medium-light body, enough carbonation. No problems, no standout.

This is the least impressive of Indeed's beers that I've had, but it's still pretty good. A smooth hoppy pale ale, nicely balanced and not overly bitter. Needs more flavor, IMO.

Very fresh and good can obtained by John. Citrus hop aroma, yet well tamed. Cloudy orange and lacey. A big IBU and yet a very good ornage, tangerine, grapefruit taste and drinkability. A good examle of a pale that used to be called an IPA(if not a DIPA by some) .Recommended.

12 fl oz aluminum can served into a Dick's Last Resort hefeweissbier glass in me sister's gaff in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Reviewed live. Acquired at the Four Firkins as part of a mixed sixer. Expectations are above average given its current ratings. 5.4% ABV confirmed.

Served straight from the refrigerator. Side-poured with standard vigor as no carbonation issues are anticipated.

A: Pours a three finger head of beige colour, nice thickness, nice cream, and good retention. Body colour is a transparent pale copper. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.

Sm: Fresh citrus ester hops, pine hops, clean pale malts, and some dry hop bitterness. A mild strength aroma. No yeast or alcohol is detectable.

T: Floral and grassy hops, some pine, citrus, and hop bitterness. Clean pale malt foundation. No yeast or alcohol comes through. Pretty simple. Decently balanced. I like it.

Mf: Smooth but slightly coarse on the climax, wet, well carbonated, and of good thickness. Suits the flavours decently. Even a bit buttery.

Dr: Drinkable and enjoyable. That said, it's a bit mundane for the style. I wouldn't get it again, but I look forward to trying more beers from this brewery. A pedestrian but pleasant pale ale.

Picked up a can at Four Firkins and poured it into a Hennepin goblet. Damn this is tasty. The aroma has a huge, juicy hit off the bat with lighter toasted, resinous perfume. The flavor follows with more of the juicy citrus punch. There are hints of pine, light pepper, and red licorice, with a dry grapefruit finish. The body is a touch lighter than a lot of pale ales, but it's by no mean watery. It's drinkable, yet very rich in flavor. This is a hell of a pale ale. It reminds me of my favorite IPAs like Blind Pig, Southern Tier 2X IPA Find some.

taste: this is really good stuff - very similar to something i've had before but can't put my finger on. Lemon rind, tangerine, fresh citrus bouquet, toasted cracker-malt, grass, notes of pine resin

mouthfeel: moderately high carbonation, oily, dry lightly bitter finish

overall: very solid APA

Poured from 12 oz. can into a Sam Adams "Perfect Pint" glass. Canned on 10/20/2012.

Appearance: Pours a deep copper amber orange with lots of rising bubbles. A solid three fingers of white head with good retention. Leaves a good amount of lacing around the glass.

Smell: A really nice hop forward aroma. Big hints of citrus fruits including oranges, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, passion fruit, and lemon. Also some spicy and dank pine resin hops and a little grass. Some some pale malts along with hints of caramel, biscuit, and cracker. Its the hops that really shine here and are as vibrant as a fresh IPA would be. A ripe and really good aroma.

Taste: Like the smell hints, a big hoppy taste with lots of citrus fruit esters and pine. Strong taste of citrus grapefruit, orange, pineapple, tangerine, lemon, and passion fruit. A surprisingly dank taste of pine resin spice and earthy grass. A bitter but fairly clean hop profile. In the background are some bready malts with notes of caramel, biscuit, and cracker. The hops are pretty dominate here as well. A very good juicy taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very juicy and somewhat sticky. Bitter, crisp, and clean with a very drying finish.

Overall: A really good Pale Ale from this new brewery. Very boldly hopped but still clean and easy drinking.

Can from eawolff99. Served in a Chicago Craft Beer Week pint glass. Six-pack dated 10/08/12.

A - Pours with a half-finger of white foam that settles to a solid cap. Transparent golden body with a few stray bubbles making their way to the top.

S - Aroma is pretty excellent, with a melange of tropical fruits, juicy citrus, dank, and a hint of onion. Nice sugary malt backdrop that balances but doesn't supersede the hoppy goodness.

T - Taste is also pretty nice, with a mix of pine and zesty citrus, icing sugar malt, and a hint of tropical fruits. Bitterness is moderate and surprisingly intense for a pale ale, but it never gets fatiguing. Lots of flavor for only 5.4%.

M - Carbonation is too high for my tastes, even after letting the beer settle for a bit. Super resinous and oily texture, medium body, and not as dry as I'd like.

D - Aside from the middling feel, this stuff is great. I put down a 12oz can in record time, and I'm looking forward to working me way through the rest of the six-pack. Indeed Brewing appears to be legit. (Upon further research, the head brewer produced a number of hoppy pale ales at Town Hall. This doesn't surprise me at all).

This is a full flavored assertive apa. Seconds after popping the top on the can a fresh burst of hops emmenates throrough the air. Pine, grapefruit, some biscuity malt, and a hint of onion.

The "onion" was the first thing I noticed on the taste and before I looked at the hop bill I figured "Summit" was the culprit...and it was....but the nice thing is after that first note it disappeared as the grapefruit, and pine flavors really asserted themselves strongly.

Finishes with an unsweetened grapefruit type of bitterness. Body and carbonation are about perfect. Very well done. Take the Summit out and use Amarillo or Simcoe and I think it would be one of my favorites. As is this is one of the more fuller flavored and assertive apa's around.

Canned 10/20/12

A= Pours a nice looking light amber color with a thick two finger sexy white head on it that holds great retention and some nice lacing.

S= Smells immediatly like some nice polleny hops. It has a very fresh sort of aroma. Almost a peppery hop aroma to it. The malt backbone is a little hidden in the aroma but I'm not too upset this smells very very fresh.

T= The taste is again very polleny and hoppy. The taste comes through with a little bit of a onion flavor from the hops. I forget which of the hops is oniony but they for sure use that one. The malt backbone is a nice light sweetness that comes in and plays with the hops a little.

M= This is very very well carbonated.

O= This is a very impressive beer for such a young brewery. While the hop choice is a little oniony this is a very well crafted beer. Of the new breweries that have popped up in the state as of late these guys and Steel Toe seem to be the real deal to me. Check this beer out for sure.

Pale, golden elixir poured into SA glass. One-finger, white head dissipates to thin ring at periphery. Scattered lacing coats the sides.

Very nice aroma of pine, tangerines, resinous hops.

Smooth piny hops, grapefruit with the back end loaded with a nice mild, dank aftertaste.

Medium body, well carbonated, sticky.

Pleasantly surprised by this delicious APA. Certainly sessionable with the low ABV. This is a nice "go to" brew for any hop head.

Have had several times on tap; reviewing from can.

A: Beautiful foamy, persistent head that takes forever to recede. Looks like either a nitro pour or beer drawn from a beer engine. Fantastic. An extra half-point for one of the best-looking cans anywhere.

S: Hops dominate malt on the nose. Citrus and pine, plenty of grapefruit, maybe a hint of passionfruit. Smells great.

T: One word: balance. As hoppy as it is, this is clearly not an IPA. The bitterness is held in check, despite what the aroma seems to promise.

M: As expected from a beer of this style and strength, it is neither thin, nor heavy.

O: This was the first beer I tried from Indeed, and it is one I will keep going back to. For a hop lover, it is ridiculously easy to drink several of these at a time. This will become one of the beers I routinely bring to other BAs when travelling.

At the taproom, a great place to have a beer and congregate with others.

Pours light golden yellow. Nice pale ale or ipa look with good carbonation.

Smells are crisp pine with supporting citrus. My favorite friends, hanging together as they often do. Some earthy dankness, fresh hop vibes here too.

Tastes are abrasively bright and bitter. A pale ale hop assault. Not a lot of juicy depth, more of a pithy attack. I love it, but I can see others finding it too much. But this review will not be considering others. Some of that earthy fresh hop character continues and is welcome. Lots of flavor for only 5.4%.

Mouthfeel is dry and biting, with some sticky resin, smackingly delicious. Palates beware.

Yes! Finally a MN IPA (pale ale my arse) that I'll be choosing over Furious. Under 10 bucks for a 6 pack of cans is awesome as well.

Serving glass: Poured from can into Imperial Pint.

Appearance: Rich gold with nice white head, leaving minor lacing.

Smell: Citrusy, tropical and spicy. Don't smell much malt.

Taste: Extremely dried out toast and caramel malt base, with some graininess. Hops are huge for an APA, with grapefruit, orange, pine, spice and some light tropical notes. Finish is very bitter for an APA.

Feel: Moderately high carbonation, with a light, firm and crisp body. Finish is exceedingly dry, borderline sour. Perfect mouthfeel for the style - I wish more APAs nailed it this well.

Overall: Finally, a high quality year round APA from MN. I hope this is a massive success, and becomes the Furious of APAs. Of course, some may say this is really just a slightly lower abv IPA.

750 mL bottle from the brewery. Stamped "filled Sep 6th, 2012". Deep golden with two fingers of white foam. Sheets of lacing. Smell is quite a bit more muted than the tap offering, is this due to the four weeks since filling? Faint citrus and grassy, lightly malty. Taste is nicely bitter and crisp with equal elements of orange-grapefruit citrus pith, grass and herbal hop flavor. Good malt backbone moderates hop bitterness without adding sweetness. Excellent carbonation with a crisp, juicy mouthfeel. Dry moderately bitter finish. Very flavorful, moderate bitterness, quite enjoyable, although I enjoyed the fresher flavor and aroma of the tap offering(s) even more, and therefore plan on visiting the taphouse from time to time.

1/12/13 Update: Cans are widely available here now for the past several months. And this is a go to for me. Packed with tropical taste, nice bitterness, well crafted.. Very tasty. Highly recommended.

On tap at the Blue Door. Beatles on the audio system. Bluicy in hand. Day off of work and I'm set. Mmm, not really loving this. I really want to, but I don't quite get it. Could there be such a thing as hops that are too exposed?

Appearance is very nice with a hazy golden hue.

Aroma is also nice with juicy, fruity character.

Hop freakin' forward! Flavor is bitter and raw. Dry dank, and a bit harsh, with a somewhat medicinal tone. Wow, there is a reason why people don't chew hop cones for fun. I get papaya, tobacco and nasturtium.

Mouthfeel is watery and light, but somehow sticky.

I love hops. I love big IPA's. This one is unbalanced and not quite working. Maybe this is revolutionary and riding the fresh hop wave? I prefer Brau Bros Hopsession for a low alcohol, hop forward beer. Just not getting this one. Damn, and I really wanted to.

On cast at Town Hall Tap. The beer arrives a clear orange color with a thick white head that lingers until the beer is gone leaving nice rings of lacing along the sides of the glass. The aroma is of passion fruit, tangerines, grapefruit, a hint of pineapple, and a nice whiff of grass in the background. The taste is bitingly bitter. Almost too bitter as it seems to get in the way of the rest of the flavor. There are some nice tropical fruit tones, but they are hard to pick up due to the bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a silky texture, and appropriately mild carbonation. Overall, this is a pretty good beer. I actually liked it better on tap as the flavor was much more well rounded, but I will certainly try it again on cask.

Not sampled but rather fully drank and immensely enjoyed. Calling Day Tripper hoppy isn't really doing it justice. It's an absolute fracking hop bomb! Pale in appearance with head and stuff. Dank, resinous pine and citrus hops, and hops and hops. Mind blowing, pure RAW hops. We don't need no stinking malts. Boy do the hops carry into the flavour. I mean, my God, what are they thinking? Like chewing on a bloody hop pellet. Hop love, no! It's hop sex. Dirty hop sex. Yikes. Hops don't provide alcohol, so I guess without the malt this beer wouldn't be beer. So, I'm glad they added malt. Call me if you can actually taste it though. I can't find it. Oh yeah, it's bitter as well. A mean bitter, but it apologizes and buys you a Happy Meal after it slaps you around. Dry, clean and wicked hoppy. You want something else?

Appearance: Cloudy light gold with lots of bubbles. 1/4" of ivory colored foam. Fair amount of lacing.
Smell: Hop-along! Lots of lovely hops loaded with pine. Just like walking in a pine forest right after a rainfall. Can't wait to taste this beer!
Taste: Upfront piney hops, almost a woody flavor. A medium bitter finish. Very nice.
Mouth feel: Light mouthfeel. Very tingly, but not a lot of body.
Overall: This beer is all about the hops. The malt is only there to support the hops. Very nicely done. Would be an especially enjoyable beer for those who like hoppy brews.
