Packed on a weekend, uncomfortably so. Wall to wall people, wading through to get to the bar like a nightclub. Dark reddish wood everywhere, side entrance, host stand to the left and restrooms downstairs. Long bar on the south wall, lots of taps, 90 total. So many flatscreens, disorienting and excessive. Super loud crowd noise. Not really an atmosphere anyone over 30 enjoys. Lots of bros and tourists.

Selection is okay and could be better considering the number of drafts. Mostly standard crowdpleasers, few seasonal or obscure options. Staff was swift and efficient, though impersonal.

Not a place i’d return to, just had time to kill before Second City.

Good food and strong selection of beers. The beer selection is less good when it comes to rarer beers, but is instead targeted to offering a variety and something for everyone. Some of their seasonal special beer selections are pretty good. I've always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful as well.

place is beautiful and brand new.. selection is not nearly as good as you hope. out of 100 some taps.. maybe 5 of them are ever rare... I get mad if people dont always have Sculpin on when you can get it all the time in Chicago

Stopped in here following a show at Second City during a bachelor party. The place is pretty large, with an open ground floor replete with bench tables and a long main bar and a balcony overlooking thinks, complete with its own miniature bar. My group opted for the balcony, partially because it was fairly late on a Saturday night, thus it was rather crowded and decidedly loud. Flat screens playing the various available games (in this case college football) bedeck the walls, but really aren't that obtrusive, there being plenty of wall space to stare it without moving pictures. Music was a bit loud, but at least the selections weren't too bad, mostly '90s stuff, dance standards, and whatnot. The clientele seemed a bit on the full-of-themselves side (it's hard to explain, just go with me here), something I was told by a friend was just indicative of the Old Town neighborhood, especially at this time of the week in the bars. The beer selection is pretty solid, with a wide range of taps to choose from (I opted for a Two Bros. "Bottlenectar" (something I'm still not sure isn't just another beer rebranded for the bar, something Two Bros. is known to facilitate), Deschutes Black Butte, and BuckleDown Shady Aftermath), and most beers being served in a balloon glass. Bound to be something you're gonna like on the list. The service is hit-or-miss, with a few of the bartenders hard to track down and acting kinda surly and/or disinterested when we could, though this may just have been a by-product of the hour and the patrons (though that's hardly an excuse, really). We didn't really test any of them on their knowledge or anything. I didn't try or see any of the food offered, so no comment on that (though I can say the harvest risotto at the Italian restaurant directly next door was fantastic...). Pricing seems to be in line with the city, most of the beers running $6-8. Overall, OTPH is a solid stop, but not exactly a firm destination for me, unless I was in the immediate area or something. Good place, but not necessarily great.

A - Great spot to have a great craft brew, and catch a game of your choice. Multiple big screen TVs playing different baseball games when I was there. A little loud for my liking, but not unbearable.

Q - The quality of the brews, food, and overall location were very nice.

Ser - The service left something to be desired. My lady and I ordered multiple beers, and 2 different appetizer plates. The problem was I was constantly trying to get the servers attention to get anything. Not cool for paying customers.

Sel - With 90 taps, you're bound to find something that you like! I did, while I was there, I had a Kentucky Bourbon ale, Daisy Cutter, Dragon's Milk, Left Hand Milk Stout, and a Mongo IPA all on tap.

F - The food was good. Not great, just good. Only got a cheese plate (that had 4 cheeses, 2 that tasted the same), and a heirloom tomato salad (that is nothing more than slices of tomatos and white onions).

V - Beers come in 2 sizes. 6oz (between $3.50-$5.50) and 12oz ($7-$11). The cheese plate was $15, and the heirloom tomato "salad" was $10. A little pricey, but not too far over the top.
