Heard about this place so I dropped in for a beer. Small tap list, but an Excellent one at that! They have flights of beers so I had a Boulevard Saison Brett, Bahnhof Buckwheat Berlinerweisse, Pretty Things Fringe Pale Ale and an Allagash Ginger Wit. Not bad for a place with under 12 taps. The others beers where great but I had them before. Nice Belgian bottle selection; they had Love Child #4 and the Liepziger Gose on bottle. It was a tough decision but went with the Love Child because it comes out once a year. Delicious! Good sourness and went great with my cheese plate. The look of this place is awesome with proper glassware. They told me they will be serving Cantillon, Dieu de Ciel and De Stuise on July 3rd for an event - I will be there! After a few beers I walked out with an excellent cold brewed ice coffee. I wish I lived around the corner.

Finally went to the Foundry after years of hearing about it, but never getting a chance to go to it. The Foundry occupies a long space right in downtown Northampton. Several tables and chairs, small and long chairs, line the length of space and there is about a dozen seats at the bar area. The space seemed big enough to hold a good crowd on a weekend, but surprisingly i was the only patron there on a weekend afternoon. The layout and design to this place can help you relax in a corner by yourself or at the bar or be in a crowd of 6-8 people easily.

Once inside, I looked at the small menu that I believe was carefully chosen well. On the weekend I was there I saw Brick and Feather, Maine Brewery, Beer'd, Allagash, and several others for probably a total of 10-12 taps. No real bottles I believe. This might feel like a small selection to some, but I felt the choices were well selected.

Service was knowledgeable, polite, and talkative to me during my time there. They always poured me extra water before I ever asked and the two main workers/managers/owners knew how to well describe a beer, a brewery, or style. In the end, too, they were just nice and approachable to talk to.

There did seem to be a kitchen, but I did not have any food. Judging from other customers that eventually came in, the food selection seemed to be in the vein of cheeses and bread.

Overall, if I was a local, I would definitely want to come here more often.

Northampton has some really nice places and something for everyone. That being said, I walked into The Foundry, not expecting much and I was quite surprised. Not a big tap list about 14-16 taps but most where beers I've never had or heard of. I got a flight and the bartender was very detailed on the styles and what to expect on each one. Great sour bottle selection! There is a cool but calm vibe there. I felt the people came to drink rather than be seen(know what I mean?). Awesome flat bread with my flight and finished with a great local IPA from Brewmaster Jack. They have beer events unlike any other, beer scavenger hunt and brewery collaborations. Such a cool place, definitely be back again.

This place is getting better and better everytime I go in there.

They keep 8 diverse beers on draft at all times.
Usually a couple local brews, a couple Shelton Brother's imports
and a couple unique choices from west coast brewries.

They have a great staff, and a wonderful atmosphere.

A wonderful place with a tastefully curated list. Staff is great, as is the food. They also tend to host very nice special events, so it's worth following them on the social media platform of your choice to stay in the loop. Overall this place is a gem and a great addition to the Northampton beer scene.

Last time I was up there, about 2 weeks ago, I had beer flight with a hot sandwich, the Blacksmith.

I had the Mandarina Bavaria, Victory Summer Love, Troegs Sunshine Pils, Fraoch Heather Ale, and Tucher Hefeweizen. I really enjoyed the Sunshine Pils, and the Heather Ale. I hadn't had any of them before, and figure by the time I get back that way they will offer a whole new selection. I can't wait.

The sandwich was hot pressed, and I ordered the side greens. A perfect meal to go with perfect beer. Can't wait to get back there before the Fall.

I pass by here all the time, didn't know they had beer on tap. These two girls who look like they could be freshmen in college just schooled me in beer. Sour beers? Lacto and Brett's? Discovered I like Gueuze and Flanders Ales.
I really like the decor and vibe. The well educated staff was awesome. I'll be visiting The Foundry more often.

Came here with my boyfriend one afternoon and we had such a great time that I thought I'd write a review as I am finishing my awesome beer(Boulevard Saison Brett) which you don't see on draft but it was here. The bartenders were so informative about beers and super friendly. I wish they were located in Waterbury, VT. They'd make a great fit with Prohibition Pig and The Reservoir. Definitely come back here again for some exciting beers.

I love the craft beer selection and how it always offers me something new I haven't tried before. I get the snack platter with an assortment of meats, cheeses, and little olives and pickles. And if it is meal time, I really like their sandwiches. The atmosphere is wood tones and slightly dark, with soft music so I can talk to my friends. The staff is quite knowledgeable about the beer selection. They seek out new and exciting brews. I visit often as I can.

I stumbled into this place for a latte and discovered a great curated tap and bottle list. They have 10 great taps that rotate with some local, some imports, some rare domestic and great craft breweries. I drop in about twice a week for new beers or some I hope that haven't kicked yet. I tasted my first German IPA here, a gruit, an excellent session IPA and some really good saisons. The owners do a great job with their taps and are very knowledgeable. They taught me about Belgian Tripels and I can't wait to have one there next time. It's a one stop shop for a great lattes and excellent beers. They got this spicy lemonade that's amazing!

This place has some excellent beers on tap and in bottles. Located in a town with over 250 taps, this place does a nice rotating their curated selection with only 10 taps. Some of the beers on taps I've seen there were Evil Twin, Monks Cafe, Andechs, Lost Nation, De la Senne, Pretty Things, Ayinger, The Bruery and Maine to name a few. The good part about their small selection is that the beers move and you won't encounter a flat beer. Also, they have a great glass selection and your beer will pour into the proper glass.

Located across from the Dirty Truth, The Foundry is a nice place to stop in for a beer or two plus an appetizer. Today they had Taras Boulba on tap and Orval as the featured bottle. I enjoyed a nice cheese plate there with my wife , along with the Taras Boulba and a Karmeliet Tripel.

The beer selection is a bit small, but there are some solid choices. I'm looking forward to more visits.
