Arrives a supremely dark brown the color of molasses with a short-lived tan head. Some widely scattered lace.
Smell is toasted, almost burnt, malt, coffee, molasses with a light caramel sweetness. Well balanced and sufficiently complex.
Taste is heavily toasted and coffee with faint notes of toffee, molasses and caramel. Balance is not so great here but not bad either.
Medium bodied, very lightly effervesced with a deceptive smoothness and a slight dryness. Pretty good but would like a little less coffee fo..fr my tastes.
