Arrives the deepest, darkest red you ever imagined, rubies are pale next to this, garnet maybe. After sitting for an hour, there is still a thin film across the glass. Wow.
Smell is toasted malts, bakng chocolate, wet cardboard and a faint woody note, no, roasted nuts.
Taste is toast, malt, vanilla, dark chocolate, nuts and a whiff of cinnamon. Unexpected and well liked. Excellent complexity and balance.
Medium bodied, very light effervescence. Slightly watery finish but the flavor is awesome. Coffee and caramel add in with the aftertaste.
