Best brewery in Berthoud! Love to go here every time I visit Berthoud. You can't go wrong. Try the Red, it is killer!

this place is absolutely awesome. i have had some of their beers around town but finally made it in to check it out. right in the heart of berthoud, which i had never been to before, a quaint colorado town with a lot of rustic charm, and thats how i would describe the taproom here too, a five or six seat bar in the back of a narrow bar room, but in the back it opens up to a beautiful new beer garden area, a great place to sit and drink ales on a nice sunny day. more capacity than it looks like from the outside. they had some cool beers working when we were in, a great selection really, including all of their core drafts, a special series of lucky charms inspired colored brews for saint pattys day, and a range of cool barrel aged bottles, definitely a lot to pick from, and even though we hung out for awhile, i couldnt even drink through all they had to offer! the service was prompt and friendly and excellent overall, and the vibe is just mellow and cool. they had a great food truck out front, and the place was packed. great energy all around. i loved some of the lucky charms beers, but also enjoyed their basic stuff, the all american and the cowboys golden. definitely check this place out if you are in the area, its the quintessential colorado taproom experience!

I love City Star! Very quaint and relaxed. Staff is very friendly. Music, mostly acoustic bluegrass/folk, on some nights. No stage or sound engineers, just musicians playing wholesome music while you enjoy great beers on a Friday night. The place is small -perfect for that small-town feel. No food is served but you're suggested to bring or order your own. The best pizza I've ever had in Colorado is a block away. Oh, and the beers are awesome! They won some awards from the Great American Beer Fest! They have growlers to go. I hope they get bottled beers to go soon.

Great brews in a cozy small town environment served up by awesome staff. The ambiance and decor fits Berthoud perfectly. John and Whitney Way have done an awesome job. Congrats to them on TWO medals from 2013 GABF! City Star is a hidden gem on Colorado's front range.
