Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark brown color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some spices. Taste is of wheat, spice, a bit f caramel, smooth and easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a refreshing beer, probably better on a hot summer day.

I poured it too cold, in a hurry. It is a dark mahagony and hazy with very little in the way of a head or lacing.
Aromas are of dark malts, caramel, clove and dark fruit. Very little hops if any.
The flavour is pretty much the same. Some mild hops finish it off but it's mostly a sweet beer. Not exceedingly balanced.
Mouthfeel is sweet and full with very low carbonation.
Overall, I would call this beer good! I would recommend it to try. I would like to see what it's like on draught and warmer but it's a little flat. I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

L- Somewhat hazy muddy brown topped with a thin tan head, head fades quickly and leaves on appreciable lace on the glass.
S- Note of banana, clove, and bread, pretty typical for the style.
T- More malty than I was expecting at first, notes of clove, spice and banana cut through the bready malts without much difficulty though. Decent balance and just a hint of alcohol heat at the end.
M- Medium in body and a bit less in carbonation, finish is dry with a bit of heat and spice.
O- Not bad there are better examples out there but I'd drink this again. I was surprised to see that the ABV is only 5.4%, from the hints of alcohol heat I would have thought it was more.

I had this on tap at Peachtree in a pint served chilled.
The color is a muddy brown shade with hazed appearance and thick tan head with fine bead and ok retention with lace stickng well. The smell is fruity and has some banana esters with mild clove as expected from the style. The feel is very highly carbonation with low sweetness and slight spice with semi-dry finish.
The taste is good with nice yeast which is dominant and has a tropical taste similar to ripe banana yet not overly sweet with subtle grain toastiness and light spicing. The overall impression is this is a pretty decent wheat with some good dunkle characteristics true to the style in general.

Lightly hazed brown in color, minimal spots of tan froth. Scent brings light yeast bread, heavy clove and brown sugar. Taste follows suit, really sweet for the style, lots of spice and yeast notes without much flavor depth. Way too carbonated and prickly. Not too into this one.

Dark, ruddy brown in color, hazy, with a tall fizzy head. The aroma is spritzy, twangy, and refreshing....clove, baking bread, some wheat, and citrus rind. The beer is not as sweet as expected...it has the refreshing zest that I expected, but is maybe tilted a bit too far toward sour. Nice try, though, and very drinkable. Medium in body. This would be nice, served cold on a very hot day.

Another of my local, in-person trader, tone77's latest drop-off.
From the bottle: "Dunkelweizen ale with notes of banana, clove, caramel, and wheat".
My initial pour resulted in just over a finger of deep-tan head, but it faded to wisps in the short time that it took me to type the above verbiage. Wow! Color was a slightly hazy iced tea-brown. I definitely got notes of banana and clove from the nose, so kudos for truth in advertising. Mouthfeel was medium and it tasted of banana and clove with the wheat adding a slight tartness to the mix. The caramel seemed to be lost on me, however. Finish was semi-dry with the clove esters really leading the pack. It was not bad, nor was it great. I am still not totally sold on their lineup of beers, but I am willing to keep knocking them back, one by one.

Appearance: pours a clear brown color with a 1" head that slowly falls to a thin surface foam.
Smell: some earthy and malt aromas rise from the glass.
Taste: mild bready malt profile with some wheat, banana, a hint of clove, and a nice yeast flavor. Bitterness is nicely balancing.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp to start, less crisp and a bit prickly late. Aftertaste is short lived.
Overall: a decent dunkelweizen that is easy to drink and a bit refreshing.

hazy brown color with a much thinner head than expected from a dunkel. Banana clove on the nose with touches of dark fruit and toffee.
Good amount of dark fruit complimented by a touch of banana flavor and a nice fluffy texture. Finishes with a bit spicy clove and a touch dry with a lingering sweetness. A bit of alcohol heat for some reason. Long finish with carbonation that sticks to the gums. A nice sweet beer with a bit of balance. simple flavors that go really well together. I like it.

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a mahogany color with a small fizzy white head. The head fades fast to leave almost no lacing.
Smell- The aroma is heaviest of a sweeter fruit aroma. The biggest is that of banana which is mixed with some very light dark fruit. Other aromas of caramel, yeast and clove are in there as well creating a sweet but pleasant aroma.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet caramel and wheat bread flavor. As the taste advances toward the middle the caramel lessens but a banana and yeast flavor come to the tongue. The body dries out more toward the end and a clove spiced flavor comes to the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is medium at first, but later in the taste, it is on the lighter side in terms of its thickness and creaminess. The carbonation level remains relatively consistent and on the medium side throughout the taste. A little more body at the end of the taste would have likely been nice for the yeasty and maltier flavors of the brew, but overall it wasn’t’ all that bad.
Overall – Its flavor starts out rather decent, but in the end, with the fading of much of the sweetness, it leaves a little too dry yeasty and spiced flavor on the tongue.

12 oz bottle poured into a nonic. Part of a mixed 6 pack of Evil Genius beers.
Pours a dark brown color with a half finger of foam that dissipates quickly. This beer is not cloudy, but rather has a brilliant reddish hue when held up to the light. Aroma is banana, clove, and wheat malt.
First sip brings a rush of crystal malt flavor that quickly fades into a dry finish. Sweet wheat and munich malt flavors are present also. Contribution from the yeast is a phenolic / clove flavor.
This beer has a lot of flavor, but I feel like it could finish a touch sweeter. A nice interpretation of the style.
