12oz. bottle poured into a porter glass
A- dark brown, barely translucent on the edges. Tan head which leaves a bit of lacing.
S- dark malt and a heavy dose of oxidation.
T- No pumpkin, maybe a hint of cocoa, but a huge metallic oxidized note that ruins anything pleasant.
M- Thin, and dry due to the metallic nature.
O- So far, every evil genius beer has this huge unpleasant oxidized metallic thing going on, and I'm not wasting any more money on this brewery. Avoid.

Pours a very dark brown color with 2 fingers of beige head. Glorious lacing.
Smell is grainy, light coffee and chocolate notes, not much going on.
Taste is a bit odd. Mild roasted character, some chocolate, and some off putting metallic, acidic bitterness...i told myself i would never drain pour a beer but this is coming close.
Light body, light carbonation, just can't get over that aftertaste of rusty oxidized chain link fence.
Skip it.

Pours a dark brown, almost black color with a thin creamy tan head that remains throughout the beer.
The scent is of roasted malt and dark chocolate notes.
The taste is of roasted malt, burnt coffee, dark chocolate, together is makes the flavor quite sour.
Full body, smooth and kind of sticky feel, moderate carbonation.
I didn't really enjoy this one too much, it became more and more sour as the beer went on.

Pours a dark brown with a tan hue on the edges. More than a finger of head that dissipates quickly but leaves some nice sticky lacing on the glass. The nose is subtly roasty. The taste is rather thin and bland. This offering ends on a sour note that is not terribly pleasant.
While this offering is advertised as a beer with pumpkin and cocoa, there is no hint of pumpkin or cocoa here.

I poured this one into a snifter, it has a rich black color body with a 2' cream colored head to it. The smell has a roasted malt and chocolate aroma, no pumpkin. The taste has a nice malt flavor and chocolate, nice and rich but i don't get any pumpkin flavor. The mouth feel is ok and overall is a ok beer. I'm not a big porter fan, but if it has pumpkin in it i want to try it and this one lacks pumpkin flavor.

Draft at The Pour House in westmont, NJ.
Pours pitch black and completely opaque with a half finger light beige head that slowly settles into a thin ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Roasted dark malt aroma with lots of dark chocolate, caramel and toffee. Also, I'm picking up some coffee bean and molasses but the pumpkin presence is overpowered. Some zesty allspice but i'm not getting any vegetal or dessert like pumpkin pie presence. Chocolate and dark malts really overwhelm with subtle cinnamon, brown sugar and other autumnal spices.
The pumpkin presnce is a bit stronger in the flavor but it's still almost completely overpowered but the dark toasted malt and rich chocolate notes. Hints of coffee bean, burnt toast, caramel and toffee along with some molasses and fudge/chocolate cake. As it warms, the pumpkin flavor comes out a bit more but it's very subtle. Never would have guessed it was in there. Very subtle vegetal presence with faint autumnal spices coming brought. Some clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla before the dry finish. Slightly acrid as well. I was expecting more pumpkin and for it too be smoother from the chocolate malts. Overly dry and roasted combined with peppery spice makes it a bit harsh to drink.

Pours a dark cola brown, little head or retention. Scent is roasty with notes of char, chocolate, coffee and light dark fruit. Taste is also missing anything seasonal, just an average mild-flavored porter with plenty of roast. Lighter side of medium bodied. Confused to what the goal was with this one, maybe it was lost in translation.

First had: bottle from Pinocchio's, Media, PA
Poured into a Pinocchio's tulip glass, a seemingly opaque dark brown color with a large rocky tan head that sank down to a thin layer leaving some lacing on the glass in its wake. Aroma of dark malts, roasty, nutty, light touches of fall spices. For a beer showcasing pumpkin, this was a bit on the weak side. Dark roasted malts, notes of cocoa and coffee, some astringency, with a bit of vegetal pumpkin and spice hidden underneath all of that. Body was about medium, moderate carbonation. Decent, but a bit bland overall.

look - dark, nice little thick head reminisce of a tinier guinness
N- chocolate, Malts, sweet
T - chocolate sweetness, maybe some slight nutmeg but wouldn't call this a pumpkin beer
Mf - small bubble gollowed by nice smooth little silky
Overall - good. Not a pumpkin beer. But a solid porter.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a black color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of cocoa, a touch of spice. Taste is cocoa, some coffee, light pumpkin and spices. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a unique idea and a pretty good beer.

L- Clear dark brown with a thin off white head. Head fades out quickly and leaves a little lace on the glass.
S- Notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, and a hint of spice, it has a nice nose.
T- Roasted malt and semisweet dark chocolate notes right away, this is balanced out with hints of coffee, caramel, and toffee. I'm not really picking up on the pumpkin that is billed as being in this one, going to bet it is hidden behind the much stronger flavors in the profile. Finish is somewhat dry and with a final semisweet chocolate note.
M- Medium in body and low in carbonation, somewhat creamy and smooth, not quite there but close.
O- I liked this one but found it somewhat lacking in the flavor that was suppose to be in it, which was pumpkin. It went down easy, at 5.6% ABV, and had some nice flavors, but just didn't live up to it's billing. Maybe it just needs some time to mature.

Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a deep brown color with a tiny tan head. The head faded relatively fast to give a good level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a sweeter chocolate and roasted malt. There is a very light pumpkin and spice aroma as well.
Taste – The taste begins with nice notes of a sweeter chocolate flavor and some light roasted malt. As the taste advances the sweeter flavors fade and give way to some or roasty flavors with hints of pumpkin mixed within. There are some very light pumpkin pie spice flavors, although these are very difficult to detect over the roasty and chocolate backbone of the beer. In the end the pumpkin grows a bit with some of the sweetness coming back to the tongue and leaving a sweeter roasty flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is on the average side in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average as well.
Overall – It does have a nice easy drinking chocolate and roasted malt taste, although I find the pumpkin flavors a little lacking. While the pumpkin flavor is on the lower side it is a rather tasty beer none the less, and is one to try.
