Pours a lightly hazed golden straw, minimal head. Musty pils malts and light doeses of grassy/spicy and citrus hops... carries forward to taste. Taste is fuller than scent dictated and a bit heavier than the stated ABVs... very pleasant, clean and refreshing but filling at the same time. Lighter side of medium bodied, lightly oily and smooth. Overall, impressed with another beer from this newer local brewery.

Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – The beer is served a golden amber color with a billowy two finger white head. The head has a decent level of retention, fading slowly over time to leave a nice level of lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell- The aroma was largest of a bready malt smell mixed with some herbal and grassy smells. Along with these was a lighter citrus and light fruit aromas as well.

Taste – The taste begins with a nice crisp malt taste. As the flavor advances notes of hop come to the tongue with the flavors being a combination of citrus grapefruit and herbal hops. Along with the hop so too comes some lighter fruit flavors of apple and pear, which sweeten the flavor ever so slightly. In the end the sweetness of the fruit fades some with the hop getting slightly stronger, leaving a nice balanced and crisp flavor of a light hop and bready base to be left on the tongue.

Mouthfeel- The body of the beer was on the medium side in terms of creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that was rather average. Both made for a very drinkable and refreshing beer with a nice crisp feel.

Overall – A rather refreshing beer overall. It has a nice blend of hop and malt and a good level of sweetness to keep it quite balanced.

I had this on tap at Houlihan's served chilled in a pint.

The color is the lightest golden, almost a pastel yellow with light hazed from the chill on the glass. The head is thick white with small bead and lace sticks,retention is good. The smell is faint yet floral with light herbal aspect, more aroma comes forward with some malt as it warms with mild citrus accent. The feel is great, very clean with light astringent element yet very good bitterness balanced with the malt which is mostly dry w/ low sweetness and moderate carbonation is not overdone with slight resins from hops and not sharp or too agressive in feel.

The flavor is very good with nice malt which supports the gentle herbal flavors from the hops which have a nice citrus element and light grass adding a mild acidity to the body with generally clean yeast flavor which showcases the other flavors with no alcohol making for a very drinkable pils. I really enjoyed this one at first but it was served very cold and I am glad I had the second and allowed it to warm gradually becaused the hop aromatics shone through and the dimension of hops was not realized completely with the first pint.

Trauger pils has a hazy cloudy straw color. The head was bright white and frothy fading to a patchy ring. Desent carbonation.
Aroma is quite hoppy with a sutle spiciness and lemon grass. Pale malts balance it out a bit too.
Taste was pretty good, It was spicy and hint hints of lemon tart. Malts are crisp and sharp.
Drinks smooth and dry with lingering bitterness into the aftertaste.
I have no problems with this brew and would drink it again.

on tap on my patio

Pours a hazed straw golden color with a nice frothy white head resting on top. Fades out eventually, leaving some patchy rings of lacing on the glass.

More hop presence than I initially expected, giving a nice, yet light bitter spice. Familiar scents of grass and straw with some biscuit malt and faint sweetness.

Stronger than usual hop character adds a nice bitter spicy punch. Hint of lemony citrus and grass with straw. Lightly toasted bread-biscuit malt, slightly doughy with faint sweetness. Finishes crisp and slightly hoppy.

Lighter medium body, nicely carbonated (a little higher but that was probably from people fooling with the keg), brisk and crisp on the tongue. Incredibly drinkable and well-balanced - great suggestion from the people at Bella Vista (and to think I almost bought Yuengling!)

Draft at Prohibition Taproom in Philadelphia, PA.

Pours a cloudy golden yellow color with lighter edges and a two finger, frothy white head that has great retention, slowly fading into a lasting ring.  Chunks of soapy lace left behind.

Inviting aroma with a nice balance of pale malts, light fruit and earthy hop notes.  Strong spicy hop presence with hints of grass and straw countered by bready yeast, biscuit, apple and pear.

Fuller bodied than expected with a crisp, spicy hop bite that lingers over the earthy and sweeter notes into a dry finish.  This provides some dry bitterness that compliments the earthy grass and straw flavors without overpowering everything else.  Really well balanced with a nice malt backbone that counters the hops and light fruit notes.  Hints of bread and biscuit as well as some apple and pear sweetness toward the finish.
