A - Hazy light orange with a white head and a patchy ring of lace around the glass.

S - Light citrus hops, bubblegum, doughy pilsner, Belgian yeast, light earthy notes and a touch of spice.

T - Tart in the beginning followed by citrus hops and juicy bubblegum, spice, belgian yeast, earthy finish.

M - Medium body with high carbonation making seem a touch heavier than it is.

D - Solid BPA.

(Served in a tulip)
Beer #5
A- This beer pours a dense hazy orange body that is almost murky. There is a thick bubble head that last for the full beer.

S- The light but juicy citrus hops gives way to a soft white dough note that blends with some Belgian yeast character.

T- The slight tart note gives way to a mellow juicy citrus hops flavor that takes on more of an apricot flavor as it grows. There is a nice estery Belgian yeast character in the finish with some pine pungency that lingers softly without bitterness.

M- The medium-light mouthfeel has a tight scrubbing fizz that settles down after a bit.

O- There is a nice hop flavor and aroma and it would be wonderful to have more of that, but it really compliments the nice yeast character making me beg for another sip to get more of it. This is a very nice beer and sessionable especially for $5.99 a bomber.

Big thanks to SatlyMalty for introducing this brewery to me. Poured into a Dogfish signature snifter. No freshness date but, as I look at the bottom of the bottle for one, I can see a lot of sediment. Certainly bottle conditioned.

A- Pours a slightly hazy medium amber color with a full inch of off-white head that has great retention Sudsy lacing adheres to the glass in random clots.

S- Very Bretty with pungent wafts of yeast, spice, hops and tropical fruit aromas. Notes of lemon, orange, pear and pineapple. Quite effervescent with the alcohol sticking out toward the end and has a barnyard quality to it.

T- Very complex assortment of yeasty richness, subtle hops and a surprising toasty character from the malt. Modest sweetness and tartness. As the beer warms, the flavors get sort of mish-mashed and a the palate becomes a bit confused but, overall, it's a nice flavor profile.

M- Sharp and spritzy with medium-high carbonation and a bigger body than most BSPAs.

O- Very Good. I look forward to trying more of these guys' beers in the future.

Pours a mild golden yellow with an orange tint and thick, frothy white head into my glass. Very nice colors. I was initially confused by the presentation on the label.

Spicy yeast and piney hops dominate the nose. It's a good contrast that seems to work well for ales of this style.

Think of the taste as a chewy, sweet pale ale with plenty of grassy hops and a twang of spice. It doesn't pound you over the head with a profile dominated by the yeast.

The mouthfeel is pleasant too. Very balanced for the style. It's almost not a BPA in a sense.

Definitely worth a try if you've been looking for a balanced BPA.

Love the nose on this beer, all citrus hops and slight touch of Belgian yeast. This seems like a pale ale version of a Belgian IPA, North American hops with a Belgian profile. Very drinkable and yet quite nuanced in its finish and balance. Gigantic continues to impress.

Gorgeous label, a nice mix of art-deco and psychedelic. Appearance is a murky pale yellow with a small white collar, no lace.
Yeast BPA, musty, some fruity esters, rather earthy, especially on the nose.
Slippery, medium+ body.
Decent overall drinkability, banana esters and earthy hops, a touch thick. Average.

Poured from a 650ml bottle. Pours a deep golden yellow with a thin white head. You immediately get a huge floral/cannabis/fruity nose that is heavy on hops and Belgian yeast notes. The palate offers up a similar profile. You definitely get the fruity Belgian esters that this style is known for, but there's quite a big hop finish with a bracing lemon rind flavour.

A: Poured a cloudy orangish color with good carbonation leaving a nice white head, good dose of bubbles and good head retention and lacing

S: Big Belgian yeast leaves some citrus, a little bit of funkiness, hints of spice, light banana and wheat

T: A fruity note of banana, citrus upfront with a Belgian yest, hay, picking up some light butter like phenols but the finish has a dry, spicey lfinish

M: medium bodied, well carbonated, a bit astringent and cloying

O: Not to shabby. Average.

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a medium golden amber with a thin white head tha dissipates to patchy foam and a ring around the glass, slight slippery lacing. Aroma of bready malt, pears, light citrus, Belgian yeast and a hint of hops. Flavor of citrus, grassy hops, light apple juice, bitter herbs. Finishes with a combination of herbal (non-hop) bitterness and Northwest hops. Medium bodied. An odd beer that appears to be more like a Belgian IPA, but dryer and not that well balanced. The apparent combination of astringent herbs and hops might have worked better with a more robust malt or dominant Belgian yeast. Interesting, but unbalanced.
