Poured from 22oz bomber into a pint glass.

Appearance: light orange hue with a touch of haze and a moderate effervescence. Head is a thick finger of frothy ivory foam. Not bad!

Smell: interesting aroma which is grainy, floral, soapy and spicy. At first I didn't know how to interpret it, but I feel like it has grown on me. An interesting take on an English pale.

Taste: flavor is more of the aroma. Grainy, bready malt is rounded out by a floral, lightly spicy hop flavor and finally a relatively strong bitterness for the style. I appreciate this beer as much for its novelty as for its flavor.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a big level of carbonation and a pretty huge creaminess. I like it.

Overall: kind of a strange beer, and not normally my bag. However, I could see myself drinking a lot of this.

Hazy orange amber with thin off-white head and okay retention. Resinous tropical citrus. Sticky earth and grass with a dominating biscuit malt with just some very light notes of the tropical fruits. Light to moderate bittering. Light, sharp body with a heavy finish.

A good hop display in the aroma is quickly beaten back by the malts throughout the remainder of the drinking experience. The initial aroma is great but is dominated by a heavy biscuit and pilsner. Not an overall pleasant experience to finish but a pint wouldn’t be bad if I felt like a heavy EPA.

My perception of this beers seems to be an outlier - I had it without knowing really anything about it other then a collab IPA. I loved it. Overwhelmed with the flavor, and aroma, of juicy fruit bubble gum. Light bodied, huge, bright sweet hops, it was pretty much perfect to me, in taste as well as uniqueness. Maybe I'd tire of it as an everyday beer, but for at least the one bomber, I was in heaven.

Served chilled into a tulip.

Pours a hazy strawberry blonde with a white head that recedes quickly.

Has sweet, slightly tart aroma, reminiscent of sour hard candies.

Flavor is fairly sweet with a sour background. Fades quickly with very little aftertaste.

Light to moderate body with moderate carbonation.

I was glad to see other people struggle with reviewing this one as much as I did. Overall a good beer with some interesting characteristics but something missing. Light body would make for a good summertime brew.

From Bier Thirty for about $6ish... Poured into my slim tulip.. hazed
light orange with a good head and lacing.

EDIT: Just going to put this out there right up front... This is NOT
an English Pale Ale... A pretty cool mash-up from Gigantic and 3
Floyds.. but still... NOT an English Pale Ale.

Nose shows citrus blossoms and some background tropical fruity hops...
malt profile is mild caramel and hints of nutty/toasty malts..

Flavor is about the same.. nice American fruity hops and malts that
get punched in the mouth.. only hints of caramel or toasty elements...
nutty/toasty notes show up on the finish.. but even then the hops
steamroll anything from the English 2-row catalog.

Body is good.... Fairly thick for an APA, good for an EPA.. medium
carbonation...

Overall, waaaay toooo much American influence and it blows out what
little English input that may be there... Maybe if you let it age for
a while :-)

Decent American Pale ale... but pretty shitty English Pale Ale.

Meh... I doubt I will buy this again unless somebody wants it for a
trade.. Too expensive and too lackluster for anything other than a
one-time enjoyment.

A - dark orangish amber with a soft, short, white head

S - floral, citrus, ruby red grapefruit, bread, faint burnt sugar, medicine

T - floral, citrus, caramel, medicine, toasted malt, grapefruit, bread

M - smooth, medium bodied, well carbonated

I'm not sure what to say about this beer. It's all over the place. The hops are citrusy and forward. The malt bready and light. There are weird medicinal notes throughout and a citrus character that tastes like juice from concentrate. I won't be having this again.

Bottle to pint

Had this in a social situation so couldn't give it the usual critical review, but this one really surprised me. It smells so good. There's a fruitiness mixed with a mild sour dough note. It's mild and easy drinking but each sip is interesting and tasty. Just a hint of bitterness but barely even into pale ale territory. Very pleasant and very well done.

This beer surprised the shit outta me.

From the label: Gigantic + Three Floyds unleash this true weapon of mass distraction. Citrus, floral and tropical hoppyness lead to full malt flavour from proper english malt, kilned over welsh coal. Brewed for those of us that live and die in the timbers army and section 8.

Pours fuzzy apricot with a sheet of fine whites and soapy hedges. Smells of peat, malt, coal, grapfruit, orange zest, grass and some floral coatings. Nice nose. Tastes of fine malts with a smoked accent, some peaty character, a bit of hay, lots of biscuit, some bitterness and a hint of orange pith. Medium on full bodied with low carb and a slick over dry finish. I like this beer.
