Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a cloudy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is full of lemons. Taste also has considerable sour lemon, a zing of ginger, slight bitterness, rather unique flavor. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and has average drinkability. Overall this is a pretty good brew.

The beer pours nicely into a dark yellowish color with a thin yellowish white head that has very little lacing, retention and carbonation. The smell has a nice gingery smell with a slight hint of citrus. The body is a medium mouthfeel that clings to the tongue and feels creamy around the cheeks. The taste is a very gingery taste with some citrus flavors. After getting those tastes I get some malty taste with a little hops. This is a very drinkable beer and is a winner from Anheuser-Busch, Inc.

Hazy blonde with cornsilk highlights and a thin skim of shock white foam. Fresh ginger is pretty strong in the aroma with some wheat malt struggling to get through. Assertive ginger is the dominant flavor component with mild coriander and citrus peel spice. Medium bodied with bright carbonation. I think this is a case where this is just more of a pairing beer and would really shine with asian cuisine but is a bit much on it's own.

A - Pours a hazy, yellow color with a bright white head.
S - Total ginger bomb. Slight aroma of wheat but mostly all ginger.
T - Once again all I am tasting is the ginger. There is very little hop or malt flavors to help balance this one out, and it needs it.
M - Fairly thin and watery.
D - Not very drinkable because the ginger is just too overpowering. I think if they toned the ginger down and kicked up the wheat or hops you might have a fair balance.

A- Orange hazy glow, about a one finger head.
S- smells overwhelmingly of ginger, can smell some wheat also and a bit of alcohol.
T- overwhelming ginger taste, not very well balanced. faintly taste the wheat. Has a bitter bite to it
Overall, not a bad beer, but nothing to brag about either. Could easily throw a few back.

A: Hazy & cloudy if bottom of bottle is swirled. Golden color with very slight amber tinge. Minimal foam and lacing.
S: Distinct Ginger presence on clear, if plain, grainy wheat base. Faintly sweet.
T: Sweetness comes through more in pallet. Distinct ginger again with noticeable citrus on a pretty generic and clean American wheat beer base. A bit grainy and even husky in finish.
M: Medium body with pretty stiff carbonation. Fairly drying, but with a slight bit of sticky sweetness.
D: Distinctly gingery American wheat beer. Not as strong as a true ginger beer, but you cannot miss it. Generic, grainy wheat base otherwise. Sort of liquid ginger wheat bisquit flavored. I can see this going really well with Asian or spicy take-put.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The label has a brief description of the beer along with its abv. (5.2%) There is no readable born on date just an odd number where it should be. (10049vc49)
Appearance: It is pale orangey yellow in color with a cloudy haze. A few tiny bubbles can seen making there way up to the small creamy off white head. The head quickly settles down to a small ring of lace with a thin film island of foam in the middle. Lacing is slick and spotty.
Smell: There is a subtle ginger ale like aroma with light wheat malt underneath.
Taste: There are nice pleasant creamy ginger notes up front that pick up some wheat maltiness and notes of mandarin orange in the middle which gives it a very mild fruity ginger bread character. Hop flavor is barley noticeable. Only a very slight bitterness is preserved in the finish. The body is light and somewhat slick with soft carbonation.
Notes: Overall this is a very drinkable beer with interesting and subtle character. I am on the fence with this one as it is tasty but it also reminded me of soda pop.

Pours a hazy, maize color. One inch head of a white color. Good retention and poor lacing. Smells of strong ginger, slight grain, slight pale malt, hint of wheat, and slight citrus. Fits the style of an American Pale Wheat Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong ginger, slight pale malt, and slight grain. Overall, ginger dominates all other flavors. Average at best.

Thanks to kingofallales for this one.(sarcastic tone) Just kidding. You da man JB, I'll get ya back. I still owe you for the treat known as Wacko Jacko.
The aroma is that of grandma's ginger candy minus the freshness and natural spiciness of said candy.
The taste is watery, stank wheat, faded ginger candy, once again minus any of the qualities that one might find in ginger. Too sweet. Too watery. No pizzazz.

Has an amber color, with little head which disappears quickly, no lacing and little carbonation
It says ginger wheat and both are clear in the nose
Definite ginger taste with a bit of wheat. I like ginger so it was satisfying.
Had a good mouth feel with a bit of carbonation.
Very drinkable, if you like ginger. One of the better ginger ales I have tried. A-B can produce something drinkable when it tries.

A-Deep gold with mild burnt orange notes...minimal head...
S-Big fresh ginger aroma...I like it....a little wheatiness as well.
T-Not as assertive as the nose but the ginger is there....blends with kind of a basic american wheat style base...
M-Creamy...high side of light bodied or low side of medium bodied...would lean toward the latter.
D-One dimensional tweak to the basic american wheat style beer. Decent enough...

Clouded golden orange apricot hue with a bright white head forming thick and dwindling rather quickly. Aromatics hit me with the ginger like fresh sliced ginger root no powdered stuff here, a bit of citrus this seems like it wants to be served with Asian fare or curry. Flavor rolling with the ginger hitting all angles of my palate, and it's tucked into a decent citrus infused wheat ale. Not terrible it sounds like a beer that would be horrible on paper, they execute much better than the Japanese ginger ale I had in the past. It does get old after a few sips but the flavor is not offensive or overpowering. Carbonation is a bit spritzy body is lighter but overall the spice coats the palate and doesn't really give you a break from the ginger flavor. Drinkability overall is decent not something I running out and getting a whole six of but to try something unique and tasty and refreshing from AB is a good thing.

From a 12 oz. bottle and poured into a pint glass. Shows a hazy lemon wheat color with a half inch of fizzy foam. Offers fair retention and some light lacing and keeps a surface film throughout the pint.
Nose is predominantly of sweet ginger and with a subtle wheat backbone. A bit of lemon hop spice is notable after some air. Taste follows with a strong ginger presence up front and some more subtle witbier characteristics on the finish. Bit of clove like spice on the finish is present but subtle given the strong ginger presence.
Overall an interesting brew yet for me the ginger is overstated and with a strong lemon flavor the impression is a bit false in nature. Carbonation is bit too spritzy but this keeps the lemon sweetness at bay and allows for a decent drinkability. Viewed more as a spiced witbier.

12oz bottle purchased as part of a mixed 12-pack purchased at Hannaford's in Derry. Pours a hazy goldenrod color with nearly an inch of short-lived off-white head. Smells citrussy and ginger-y and a tad herbal. Something kind of artificial about the aroma, reminds me of something from Bath and Body Works... Ginger and herb dominate the flavor, with citrus notes in the background, and a tea-like quality to it. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Not sure what to make of this one. It's kind of growing on me, but I can't shake that "ginger flavoring" business - seems almost artificial to me, though the label says it's "natural". Seems like going to a Yankee Candle store or something. Meh...

12oz bottle with no freshness information picked up as part of a michelob all wheat mixed 12 pack. drank from a wiezen glass like the bottle suggests.
A- this one pours out a glowing golden orange colored body with a small bright white head on it. the head lasts for a while before falling, and leaves behind tiny rings of lacing.
S- a little bit of the typical wheat flavors like bubblegum and banana start this one out. after that comes what i guess is ginger. not much after that.
T- the ginger i could smell comes through really, really strong. it pretty much overpowers everything else in this one. the wheat like things that i could smell before are all but gone in the taste.
M- light to medium bodied with a high level of carbonation.
D- interesting and not like any beer ive had before. if you like ginger, check this one out. if you dont, then stay away.

Got 6 of these in a special edition case. I liked this beer more the second time I drank it and it definitely grows on you. I've never seen it before, but it really goes incredibly well with sushi, more so than ANY Japanese beer. It had a hint of ginger and spice with a creamy head which lasted a lot long than I thought it would and the lacing was also nice. I hope it sells well because I want to drink this every time I have sushi from now on.

Bought this in a sampler Pack and decided that this would be a great beer with the chinese I was eating.
A: Pours a hazy Orange color with 2-fingers of white head with holding power! This beer in my glass was also lacing really well. Very impressed so far.
S: Very disapointing...slight ginger on the nose...it smells almost like im smelling ginger ale.
T: Tastes of ginger fill the palate, then rounds off into slight floral hops. I feel like I'm drinking hopped Ginger Ale.
M: Light bodied for the most part. Better than most Macros.
D: If you like drinking ginger ale, then this is a very drinkable brew. Either way, this goes down smooth.
