Pours a clear, pale gold color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Poor retention and poor lacing. Smells of pale malt, slight yeast, metallic, very slight citrus, and grain. Fits the style of a Light Lager. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of metallic, yeast, pale malt, and grain. Overall, almost no body, definitely drinkable, but so is water?

Another one I drank as part of losing a bet. Clear bottle poured into straight pint glass. I honestly try to find something positive about every beer I try, but even I couldn't find one nice thing to say about this puppy. Clear, urine color. No grain or hop scents. Almost zero flavor. The same amount of body as a glass of water. Water has a higher level of drinkability because it's not pretending it's not water. Only drink if you lose a bet.

12 oz bottle poured into an American Tumbler Pint. Born on 08OCT09.
A - Pours a decently golden yellow color. Clear and effervescent, the white head disappears instantly. I expected it to be almost clear in color.
S - An initial burst of sulfery skunky aroma comes out. At this point I'd just stop but I'm never going to buy this beer again, so let's go. It disappears in favor of an insanely light rice aroma. Almost indistinguishable as a beer aroma-wise.
T - A bit sulfury and very watery. Almost no real beer flavor. Actually, if the skunked flavor wasn't there, there would be no flavor. haha.
M - Thin, watery, and sharply carbonated. As close to water as you'll get. In fact, have a Perrier instead.
D - Why would you ever want this? A pointless beer geared to guilt-filled individuals who lead horrible lives if their beer drinking comes to this...
At less than 4% you'd be bloated from drinking this before even feeling a slight buzz, but I suppose, as water, it's drinkable.

Picked a bottle of this at Liquor Barn, it's one of those brews that I know I'll never buy a 6 pack of, but want to try for some stupid reason. 12 ounce bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear light gold color with about a 1/4 inch white head that went away very quickly. There isn't any lacing left on the glass. Aroma is a bit of sweet malt, and not much else. It doesn't smell bad, but it doesn't exactly smell appealing either. The taste is pretty much just like the aroma. It tastes like a bit of sweet malt, but there aren't any offensive flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light and watery, but that's to be expected for this style of beer. It's really not hard to drink at all. I was expecting the worst when I tried this brew, but I was pleasantly surprised. I hate to admit this, but if someone gave me a bottle of this, I'd drink it (not that I'll ever buy this again). I've certainly drank worse beers. I'm not saying this is good, but for a 55 calorie light lager, it's a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

First - the obligatory BA disclaimer - this was left in the fridge and was simply taking up space more worthily occupied by some (any) other brew. I decided I might as well give it a chance. Poured a very light gold. Some vague sweetness in the aroma. Flavor - well, there's the rub - there is none, or, at least almost none. I think I could pretty well replicate this beer by taking a Bud Light, and mixing it with three parts club soda. I am at a loss to understand why anyone, even a light beer fan, would bother to drink this. It is wet. That is about it.

12 oz. bottle.
Super clean and clear light straw yellow body. Fizzy, soda-pop finger of eggshell-white head. Dissipates down to a few small bubbles after 30 seconds. Faint nose with very light notes of honey and rice chex cereal.
Slightly astringent grainy malt and mineral water bitterness up front. Watered down faint cereal malt flavors mid-palate. Not even a hint of sweetness. Mineral water bitterness into the finish. Light bodied with a very lively, soda-like feel. Watery and almost tasteless. I'd rather have 4 oz. of a good beer if I were watching my beer calories...

Pours a golden copper with some soapy white head that quickly fades. The nose has a strong corn presence and some apple fruitiness. The flavor is very, very faint; grainy and fruity with some apple notes. It's very sweet and has a faint metallic aftertaste. The mouthfeel is super light and highly carbonated.
Well, this is a very light beer so mission accomplished but this lacks any kind of flavor and the apple-like off notes dominate both the smell and the flavor. Pass.

Review from memory - consumed at my sister-in-laws on 4/11/11 after a family members wake.
12oz bottled served in a pilsner glass.
L - flat yellow color with a white head that goes away right away.
S - grainy, not much else
T - taste is basically just grainy as well.
F - thin and light.
O - if you think this is going to make you lose weight you probably love it but I'm not on a diet.

The only thing remotely resembling beer is the pour, faint straw yellow with no head or lace. No aroma or taste either, this is just a glass of water with a dollop of grain and rice tossed in for beer effect. Thankfully, I was given one and did not lay down any hard earned money on it.
With this, I wrap up my reviewing days.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a aple golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some notes of beer. Taste is also mild, a touch of malt, not much going on. Feels light in the mouth and overall, while not the worst light beer I have tried, there is nothing to seperate it from this unremarkable herd.

This beer pours a clear golden color. The head is one inch in height, and recedes within ten seconds into absolutely no lacing. I don't think I have ever viewed a beer with this little lacing. I mean usually there is at least a tiny ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass, but not in this beer. It really doesn't look like a beer. The aroma seems to have gone where ever the head did. That is to say it smells like water....upon closer inspection there is a little something there making it smell more like tainted water. Truly awful. It would be better if it just didn't have a smell. The taste is like carbonated water. The mouthfeel is the thinnest I have every encountered in a beer which makes sense being that this beer is only 55 calories, and a mere 2.4% ABV. I can handle the thin body, but this beers under carbonation is a huge detractor. I never thought I'd say a beer brewed by Anheuser-Busch is under carbonated, but this beer truly is. There is some carbonation to it, but not enough for a light lager. Overall, this is a really bad beer. I will never drink this again.

Pale fizzy yellow. Almost non existant scent and taste save for some faint kiss of cooked corn. Bubbly and uber light. Lifeless and uninspired, the weakest alcoholic beverage I have ever sampled. But when faced with this or other BMC Light products, maybe its almost better to not have anything to smell or taste or digest.

From the 12 fl. oz. can marked 07MAY10-WF09. Sampled on August 8, 2010. The pour is mainly yellow with a slight golden hue and a short-lived fizzy white head. The aroma is full of rice adjuncts but also there is a thin hoppy coating as well as a very fine pine-like scent. The body is not as watered down as many light beers I have had but I would not call it medium by any stretch of the imagination. There is a weak maltiness in the mix and a clean hopped shadow but nothing pounces out. Looking at this beer in an objective fashion it is very typical of light macros but not offensive.

Poured a dark yellow with a soap ring of a head.
The smell was a bit funky like a bad euro lager with a touch of skunky hops.
Its tag line of the worlds lightest beer quickly holds true in the flavor, I have had glasses of water that didn't taste this watery.
No beer flavor at all.
Mouthfeel = Water
Its as drinkable as a cold glass of tap water, so I guess ok, but why bother.

Appearance: Clear medium golden in color, with a moderate, persistent white head, good patchy lacing, and an abundance of small fast-rising bubbles.
Aroma: Dusty, with mineral notes, and a faint caramel presence. There seems to be a slight herbal hop presence.
Taste: Opens with slightly toasted caramel malt, as the taste progresses, a mild vegetable note appears, somewhat like cooked corn. Finishes with a lingering graininess, somewhat like unsalted, air-popped popcorn kernels.
Mouth feel: Rather thin, with aggressive, slightly stinging carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: I am not trying to be excessively critical, but at fifty-five calories, and an ABV of 4.8 percent, I wonder how different this would be from a "normal" 110 calorie, 5.0% ABV lager cut with fifty percent carbonated mineral water.
Presentation: Packaged in a twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a standard Pilsener glass.

Poured from a 12oz bottle.
A- Pours a very light golden yellow color. After a hardish pour I got a 1 1/2 finger bone white head. No lacing with this one. Tons of bubbles all over the place with this one as well.
S- Sweet malt underbody is the first thing I smelled on this. Very sweet smelling. Pick up some corn, rice, and other adjuncts in the nose as well.
T- Wow..this literally tastes like nothing! Some sweet notes throughout the beer and well everything else just tastes like water. Nothing in the taste whatsoever. Kind of crazy actually.
M- Very light mouthfeel to this. Carbonation is crazy heavy making this a super fizzy beer on the palate. Very watery in the mouth not leaving any aftertaste on the tongue or elsewhere.
D- To be honest this is a very drinkable beer because it doesn't taste like anything. And because of that it is the best out of all the BMC Flagship beers...haha.

A - Very pale, very see through. A finger of head was produce, but literally in an instant, it was gone! But, it's a-typical.
S - Nothing on the smell. A little sweet corn, maybe grains. Everything is faint. There some metallic notes I'm not liking.
T - Minimal. Even for a light lager, it's just next to nothing, with this awful grainy aftertaste.
M - It's like water, need I continue?
D - It's easy to drink, but that does not equate to desirable.
On to the chug to end this nightmare...

Budweiser Select 55 pours a pale yellow color from a twelve ounce can. The aroma is mildly grainy, I can't particularly detect any hops or malt. The taste is predictably mild, a touch grainy and that's about it. Watery is probably the best description for this one. Okay for what it is, just not what most of the people on this site are looking for.

pours out of the clear bottle a clear light golden colour with plenty of fizziness to support a relatively thin fine head. exceeded my expectations already! a bit of lace. very light grainy, husky, musty aroma. the taste is of glorified seltzer water. thinly malted and barely hopped. ugh. feather light body and a crisply carbonated mouthfeel. double ugh. not really drinkable, unless your standing on the surface of the sun and are extremely thirsty.
overall...why? yuck.

Poured from can into pint glass
I have always wondered what these super low cal beers tasted like, so when I got this one for 50 cents with an expiration date of 2/2013 I thought it was time to bit the bullet and try one.
Appearance –Pours a medium golden color with a big billowy white head. The head fades very fast to leave almost no lacing.
Smell- The smell is a bit offensive and consists of rice, paper, metal and a very light corn.
Taste – The taste is overall very light (not too surprising). It starts out with a light bready and corn flavor. Some rice comes to the tongue more toward the middle along with a light paper taste. These flavors take the taste to its end where a tiny amount of citrus and tin comes to the tongue. In the end the tastes leave a watery and decntly clean feeling on the tongue. It was quite a bit more easy drinking then I would have expected.
Mouthfeel – As expected it is quite watery with a medium level of carbonation. The watery nature is very appropriate for the very light beer style as it makes it very drinkable and refreshing, but a slightly higher carbonation may have suited the brew slightly better.
Overall- While expecting the worst, it really was not much different than the standard light beer (maybe just a little less flavor). If you are really concerned about calories (well you probably aren’t if you reviewing big beers on BA), then this may be a good option, but if like me you want something with a bit more robust flavor, then leave it on its own.

Hey someone had to be the 2nd
A - Pours a very light golden color. Lots of head formation, pearly white in color. Dissipating somewhat slowly. Very filtered, but with lots of apparent carbonation.
S - This beer is "scent optional" Nothing there but just the lightest hint of yeast/malt breadiness.
T - Starts off with the flavor of, well, nothing but water. Then, as if by miracle, some very light malt notes make an appearance through the midstream. No apparent hopping. Finishes with a strong flourish of...guess what....water! In the finishing notes some adjunct corny notes make a bit of an appearance.
M - Way too carbonated for anything I'd drink - thats the only way they are fooling people this beer is anything above dasani. Beer is itself just outright thin.
D - You could drink an army of these - plus more. Any BA that can't session 24 hours of these got distracted on the way to the cooler.
As much as I rag on this beer - sadly it does have a home in my beer rotation. On days where I'm watching my cals or just wanting an extreme session beer on my bike, i think 55 would get it done.
I call this beer the pacifier beer. When you want a real beer, but you just can't have it - stick this in your mouth and you'll shut up for a while.

Had this at a New Years Eve get together. Pours a pale yellow color with a thin white head which faded immediately. Almost no aroma, some cooked rice is about it. Same for the flavor. Not much going on here either. Feels thin and watery, carbonation is ok. This was a boring beer to drink.

A- Pale straw. Fizzy head disappears immediately.
S- It smells like grains steeped in water. If it were stronger it would be like when you forget about that empty bowl of cereal for a couple days.
T- Grainy, slightly metallic. Undeniably watery. Best drunk tremendously cold.
M- Watery. Thin. Initially overcarbed, but by the end the carbonation is gone.
D- Easy to drink, in that it's almost water. Not easy to drink in that it doesn't taste that great.

Got in a sampler sixer just for the purpose of reviewing, lol.
Yellow and clear with a good head that quickly dissipates into nothing and leaves spotty and minimal lacing.
Doesn't smell at all really. Barely detectable lemony grains are all I can find.
Tastes like a watered down lager with a pinch of lemon.
Feels like water with a little carbonated beer in it.
Drink is a zero but that's not an option so I'll up it to a full 1.0.
