Sucked in by the name, "Hop Hound" knowing it is AB, hoping for a hop bite. Initial bottle smell is hallertaus almost like a cream ale but with caramel malts. Pours to a deep translucent orange with a creamy head. Taste is of wheat malts with a steady bitterness from start to finish. Not much else there. Mouthfeel has good weight but quickly fades to a watery finish with nothing but some tangy bitters. Great attempt on packaging but this one still can't escape the AB macro twang taste. If you want an AB macro craft wannabe I would suggest the Bud Ale, cheaper than this and better in my opinion. I won't be swilling any more of this brew. Good try though AB. Keep 'em coming I'll try 'em all. ...2nd of the 6..this brew has a small temp window.. not too cold but not too warm either, but more cold than room temp.. some banana coming through
