Poured this American Amber ale from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Poured a amber color, produced a thin white head, poor retention and left minimal lacing on my pint glass. The aroma of this ale is toasted cereal grain, some caramel- Overall not a bad aroma. Light in body, this ale features flavors of toasted bread, toffee and caramel, I also detect some pear flavor, probably from the yeast strain. There really is not much of a hop profile to talk about. Honestly, this is not the worst beer that I have had from AB- but it also leaves much to be desired. They tried to get into the "Craft Beer" niche with this brew, while its a step in the right direction, you still can hide from the subpar ingredients used. Nice try. Prost!
