A - White head that lasts about 15 seconds. The body is almost a fluorescent yellow.
S - The scent of raspberries and malt. It actually smells rather inviting.
T - Very little flavor here other than a slight berry taste and a hint of malt.
M - Very cold and slightly coarse.
~ This was left at my place after a cookout a few weeks back. I'm glad to have had the chance to try it but I won't be sampling this brew again anytime soon.

12 oz clear bottle poured into pint glass
A: Crystal clear gold color, lots of carbonation bubbling about as soon as it is poured, the head foams up and then dissipates instantly just like a soda would, reminds me of pouring ginger ale
S: Fruity and syrupy, very distinct raspberry and pomegranates though, at least it smells like the fruit it was supposed to, however it is pretty much just flavored sugar
T: Nothing that reminds me of a beer, thats what I thought this was supposed to be, it tastes like flavored water
M: Pretty much carbonated water
D: I don't even know what to say to this...could you physically drink a bottle, yes, would you want to, hell no
Notes: There isn't much to say about this. It is pretty much michelob ultra with just some kind of flavoring agent added that takes what little flavor it had to begin with and covers it up completely. You'd be better off with a raspberry wine cooler.

I actually had hopes for this one b/c I like pomegranate water and was thinking it would taste like this but w/ alcohol. Dead wrong. It's not even a chick beer as the girl I bought it for drank twice as me (two sips to my one) before dumping it down the sink. It is a straw gold bodied beer that is thin and watery and designed to go down nice and easy with sweet razz/pom taste. Instead, it is a little sour and sharp and tastes like a diet cherry 7Up that was left on the counter for awhile. This is really not palatable at all.

Bottle pour into shaker Aug. 14, 2009. Pours mostly pale yellow with very thin white head. At least there was some aroma to this - basically a water light beer with flavor added. Not too bad after 18 holes of golf on a hot summer day. Not much here, but it was better than regular Ultra or B. Light.

"Light Beer with Natural Flavor" Rev. 7/8/09 Date on bottle "09127" 4.2%
In a clear bottle, first bad sign. It is a light yellow color, almost like urine from a person that is slightly dehydrated. I'm not judging until I try it. Pours crystal clear, light yellow with a soapy very white head that dies down quickly leaving nothing on the glass. Medium carbonation, I have never seen a beer this clear.
Strong, sweet raspberry and fruity nose. Smells exactly like a raspberry flavored soda, you can't pick out the beer at all. I guess that is what they are going for. The fruit aroma smells like real fruit, not syrupy or artificial. Very nice if you like raspberries and fruitiness. Keep in mind this is a "Pomegranate Raspberry" beer and should be fruity.
The taste is very watered down, not like the aroma, that prepares you for a really fruity taste. The beer is in the taste, but the light, typically Bud flavor is hidden in part by the fruit flavor. The fruit makes its appearance in the middle as it going down and tapers off leaving a pleasant beer aftertaste, clean and crisp. The fruit is very muted and does not overpower, as the smell would insinuate.
Kind of grainy/foamy in the mouth, medium bodied (surprisingly!) but a little foamy if you swirl it around in your mouth at all. Fills you up, this foaminess does.
It is light in all aspects: flavor, beer taste, fruitiness; making it very easy to consume. A good balance between beer and fruit, not one controls the taste. I have to say, I am not disgusted as I thought I was going to be. I could see a non-beer drinker actually liking this and putting down the Boones Farm to try something less sweet. Doesn't seem like there is much alcohol in there...just like a raspberry soda!
I disregarded the fact that this was a Michelob, as most people who reviewed it did not and thus decided it was going to be bad before consuming it. It's not that terrible, very drinkable, but shouldn't be considered beer.

appearance: Soda like carbonation and a pale yellow transparency.
Smell: I smelled a slightly fruity light beer. Very plain and uninspired.
taste: Tasted like a watered down fruity soda. sour and not in a complex and crafty way. Tastes bland and artificial
mouthfeel: Water. No lingering notes.
Drinkability: This beer gets staler as you go.
A better version of Michelob Ultra, but the bar is set pretty low

12 oz bottle poured in to pint glass
A: Clear, straw yellow. Foamy, two-finger head, no lacing... lots of bubbles.
S: Smells of pomegranate and raspberry, just like the title says.... not much else.
T: Tastes just like it smelled. Very sweet almost like a New York Selters water....
M: Very light bodied, highly carbonated, crisp and sweet. Somewhat refreshing but no beer like.
D: If you miss Zima, this might be for you.... But if you want beer forget about it...

Bottle into Clear Glass
Appearance - The only thing reminiscent of a beer is the color, and even that is a ridiculous cliche of what beer should look like. Head? What head? This beer produces a little bit of foam, that quickly settles. Incredibly filtered, completely transparent. I can see the bubbles fizzling way more than you should with a beer. This looks just like a yellow soft drink, like a golden Mello Yello or something.
Smell - If I could give this a zero I would. Strong pungent fruity smell. How they can market this product as beer is beyond me. At this point, I'm thinking of canceling the review because I DO NOT want to drink this.
Taste - Simply the worst beverage I have ever ingested. Simple as that. I am an extremely respectful reviewer, but in the same way that a reviewer should "respect beer," by the same token, beer manufacturers should "respect drinkers." This is irresponsible. Completely and utterly undrinkable. I want to brush my teeth after just a SIP.
Mouthfeel - the carbonation is O.K. but excessive.
Drinkability - this beer is simply stupid. i cannot imagine who would voluntarily purchase this. This is the most yuppie concoction ever produced. Pomegranate beer....I have officially seen it all. I have never thrown a six pack away, but I am throwing bottles away as we speak. You've been warned, it's really that bad.

Pours a pale yellow color with a one-finger head into my glass. Seems carbonated.
Aroma is detectable even from arm's length. Lots of pomegranate and raspberry. Seems more like a wine cooler at first.
Taste is smooth and full of pomegranate and raspberry upfront. Very faint though. Adjuncts show through, mainly corn. Like Michelob Ultra with fruit flavoring.
Mouthfeel has a Trix feel to it. When a beer reminds you of a breakfast cereal, it's probably best to avoid it. It's not sickly sweet though.
Not a great marriage of fruit flavors and beer, especially since neither are actually well-represented here. It's not horrible but it's not impressive either.

Reviewed 3/5/2009 (bottle):
Pours a huge foamy white head, quickly diminishing, with a very clear pale yellow colored body. Very strong raspberry and cherry (pomegranate?) aromas, very enticing. Some malts too, but very sweet smelling. Mmmm, cherries. Very cherry taste, some bitter raspberry, and dryness on the end. Somewhat cloying sweetness. Very fruity tasting, but simple, very cherry, and some raspberry. Refreshing, but very sweet.

Holy chick beer. I'm really trying to take the purpose of this beer into consideration when reviewing it. It's fruity crap for people who don't like beer and therefore they should be drinking a Mike's Hard Lemonade or rum and Coke. Nevertheless, it's a pale pee color with a large white head that disappears very quickly. It looks like apple juice with a periodic bubble escaping to the surface. Smells like fruit. I drink a POM pomegranate juice from time to time and I eat raspberries and I suppose those odors are present. Along with a faint, faint stink of lreally light beer trying to poke through. It doesn't taste bad it just doesn't taste anything like beer. In fact, I pick up on just about no beer qualities whatsoever. Nonexistant malt, hops, or anything you'd find in real beer. It's water-thin and very lightly carbonated. Overall it's closer to a fruit juice than a beer. It's easy to drink, though. This is children's beer if there ever was such a thing. There's two more types of Ultra in the variety 12 pack that I got...

a bright and clear yellow color with immediately dissolving head that reduces to the look of spit floating on the glass. lots of carbonation bubbles.
you ever smell clearly canadian? this smells exactly like flavored water. would smell good, for water, but it is supposed to be beer. normal beer scents, like hops and malt, are utterly non-existent.
crisp, clean flavor of...you guessed it, flavored water. the aftertaste is a mingle of artificial raspberry and the slightest yeast flavor. this is great tasting water. it is poor tasting beer.
the feel is really light and crisp, almost how i wish many lagers and pilsners could feel. not much to it, but completely unoffensive.
not beer. is this non-alcoholic? there is not an alcohol flavor to be had. there is nary a typical beer flavor also, so it goes without saying. i would put this in plastic bottles and have them iced for after a basketball game. thirst quenching, but far from scratching my itch for an actual beer.

The FDA dictates that chocolate must contain a certain percentage of cacao or it will be called chocolate FLAVORED. I wonder if a similar standard should be applied to beer. There just isn't anything "beery" about this.
a: This is barely tinted, a faint yellowish color. It pours with a little short lived fizz.
s: Mild artificial raspberry. Smells a bit like Smarties. Not a trace of beer.
t: Cloyingly sweet fake fruit flavors. No beer here either.
m: Slightly fizzy and very thin.
d: I admit that this doesn't taste absolutely horrible, it just doesn't taste like beer at all.

Ultra light in color, almost white. Little white fizzy head disappears quickly. Lots of CO2. Smells a lot like flavored seltzer, lighting up the nose. Not recognizable as pomegranate or raspberry but fruity in nature.
Tastes like flavored seltzer, and mildly flavored at that. Literally like those zero calorie, zero grams of fat seltzers that all all fizz and a little bit of flavor. It's hard to say this would be recognizable as beer. I have never had the straight Mich Ultra. so I don't even know if that tastes like beer.
No feel to speak of unless you like bubbles.
Drinkable? How can you deny it? Drinkable as beer...NFW.

Poured from the clear glass 12 oz. bottle into my straight sided glass tumbler. The appearance is quite light straw colored, and the smell is quite good, very fruity. The taste is exactly the same as the smell, fruity, with no hop or malt whatsoever. Mouthfeel is very light, and drinkability is good with very little heaviness or aftertaste at all.
Just a thought,

12 oz bottle received from my buddy Dyan in our latest trade. I've heard a lot of bad things about this one, so I was pretty excited to give it a shot.
Appearance: Pale yellowish color, not quite MGD 64 pale, but close enough. Pours with a surprisingly decent head, but it disappears almost instantly.
Smell: Alcopop all the way, this doesn't resemble beer in the slightest, nor does it have a good fruit aroma. Funky artificial berry is all I'm getting here... Smells a bit like fruity chewing gum.
Taste & mouthfeel: More beery than the aroma implies, a light and semi-sweet malt base is felt beneath the fruit, which is still rather dominant. I'm all for fruit beer, but it helps when the fruit tastes like actual fruit and not some kind of funky fruit extract, which is the case here. The mouthfeel is light as can be and somewhat overcarbonated.
Overall, not as bad as I was hoping. It's definitely bad, but I've had worse. Nice try, Dyan. I'll have to see about getting you some Amnesia IPA.

Overview: yet another "Frankenstein" Ultra beer: made of parts. Looks kinda like beer, tastes kinda like beer; but this ain't no beer.
It is like a "beverage" as in "malted beverage". Sticky sweet. Not as bad tasting as their Lime/Cactus or Orange/Grapefruit abominations, but not at all good.
Unless you like a brief "Pez candy" taste, it really has no taste. On a positive note, it is carbonated.
These Ultra "experiments" should never be recreated by mankind. Ever. There oughta be a law...
And I do believe that their original regular Ultra certainly does have a place on the great beer shelf of life.

Pours a extremely pale golden color. A fluffy two finger tall head perches itself for longer than expected ,and then leaves lots of lacing(probably from the sugary additives). This nose is sweet, not in a good way. Very artificial and reminiscent of sugary pixi-stix,good when your an adolescent, not good when they combine it with beer. The flavors are much the same. Quite offensive in my opinion, reminds me of watered down Clearly Canadian. Very thin and watery, though the carbonation is somewhat acceptable. The finish is of sticky artificial sweetener and candy corn. This is horrible...no wonder my girlfriend loves it.

Apperance: Yellowish with a small head.
Aroma: Fruits, Marsipan, Cherries. Very chemical and un-natural.
Flavor: Dr.Pepper mixed with a bit of water anyone ? Raspberry, Caramel, Artificial sweeteners.
Palate: Just dry and boring. Very sweet.

Picked this one up cause I'm a sucker for novelty. Out of the bottle this beer was a pale gold color with a fizzy white head that was short lived. It did, however, retain a pure white soap-skim ring that laced tiny bubbles moderately. The aroma was sweet and all raspberry extract. The flavors were at first sweet, the fruit extracts hit me as decent but then it all went south. Stale grain and stale corn. No pomegranate flavor can be pulled out of the raspberry syrup that is stomping all over it. Hops and malt are quashed too. Mouthfeel is very fizzy and a little rough, the body light. To its only credit it is crisp but the aftertaste is unpleasant and metallic so even that's hard to enjoy. I always hate to fail a beer but this one deserves it.

12oz bottle into my Stone pint glass. I had this at a friend's birthday in May and it was the most ridiculously horrendous beer I'd had at the point. Had to try it again!
A: Light straw yellow with tremendous clarity and exceptional soda-like head - brilliantly fleeting and soapy white. Woohoo!
S: I'm calling BS on the advertising. This should be Michelob Ultra Raspberry Pomegranate, 'cos honestly, they pom is an after thought. Medicinally artificial raspberry flavor, I'd describe this as one-dimensional if "repulsive" wasn't an aroma description
T: Skunk light lager + artificial raspberry flavor + corn syrup + metallic finish. Need I say more?
M: Soda-like carbonation and horrendously light and watery. Cringe-worthy. Dry finish but it's metallic.
D: Nope, I ain't drinking any more!

I picked this one up when I made a sampler six pack because it looked interesting as I am a fan of (real) lambics.
A: Almost clear amber, like watered down apple juice
S: Distinct raspberry and pomegranate smell that is appealing, it also has almost a diet soda scent.
T: This is the most disgusting beer I have ever tasted, watery as hell, almost no juice flavor, practically no beer flavor, and it is offensive to the other beers that sit on the self next to it.
M: It honestly feels like you're drinking mineral water, and then you get a nasty aftertaste which I guess could be described as the beer flavor.
D: I somehow managed to choke this down, I would NEVER buy it again and I might ask for my money back. I honestly didn't hate regular Michelob Ultra, which isn't great in its own regrad, but this is a wine cooler trying to be a beer and it just fails miserably.
