Poured from the clear glass 12 oz. bottle into my straight sided glass tumbler. The appearance is quite light straw colored, and the smell is quite good, very fruity. The taste is exactly the same as the smell, fruity, with no hop or malt whatsoever. Mouthfeel is very light, and drinkability is good with very little heaviness or aftertaste at all.

Just a thought,

A very light clear gold color with a tiny white head for about 5 seconds.

The aroma is a lot like raspberry Koolaid.

The taste is also a bit artificial raspberry and pomegranate, but lighter and, thankfully, not as sweet as Koolaid, not much like beer either. I couldn't really find where they hid the "Pilsner", I must have missed it. This is kind of like a lighter wine cooler and may appeal to some cooler fans. Finishes a bit tart with a bit of artificial raspberry aftertaste.

Very light bodied, a bit watery, but could work as a hot weather cooler if you like the taste.

A-Straw yellow coloring. Head falls quite quickly. Almost zero lacing. Fizzy.

S-Completely fake smelling berries. Almost perfumey like. Pretty faint scent too.

T-Tastes just like raspberry-pomegranate seltzer water. Not as sweet as I was expecting. Every sip I just keep thinking...seltzer water. I do like seltzer water though.

M-Light and fizzy. Clean and artificial tasting.

O/D-No dice. Simply not gonna work here. I like the two fruits they chose but this beer kinda blows.

Thanks to BeerFMAndy for killing me with this one and offering a quasi-refreshing liquid for in between beers at a recent tasting. "Palate cleanser between IH Kryptonite, Lawsons Double Sunshine, HF Double Citra and Abner before Pegs RARE DOS." Thanks for typing that sentence for me, Michael. Also, a bottom 100 tick. Score. Served in a tulip.

Pours a clear golden color with a fizzy white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Nose brings mild pomegranate plus a load of fake raspberry. Flavor is the same plus same grain. Artificial sweetener and a bit of tannin. Not bad as a soda, pretty bad as a beer, though not undrinkable.

I had this quote in my notes, which I must have said: "Doesn't age (aka 2 hours) on my deck very well." Quite true. It certainly got worse as the open bottle sat around in the sun for awhile, though rest assured, I reviewed this under the optimal conditions of it being at its ideal serving temperature, i.e. just above freezing.

Thanks Bobby, your generosity never ceases to amaze me...

A: The pour is about as light as yellow can get with a white head that dies nearly instantaneously.

S: Sweet, sugary, fake raspberries come through immediately. The slightly tart pomegranate comes next, but that is sweetened up as well. Definitely fruity...

T: The fruit flavor is nearly completely masked by the overwhelming carbonation. Tonic water with a splash of raspberry flavoring.

M: The body is light, very light, and the carbonation is excessive, to say the least.

D: This isn't offensive, at least, but it would be cheaper to just buy a bottle of flavored soda or tonic water.

A - light golden yellow with a thin, loose, bubbly head that fizzles away immediately; huge amounts of carbonation rising to the top like soda

S - huge artificial raspberry and pomegranate

T - grainy, syrupy, bitter-sweet, artificial raspberry and pomegranate

M - way over carbonated, very crisp, light bodied

This is what it advertises to be. It's very light and has a fruity flavor. The carbonation is the worst part. It's even worse than the most carbonated soda. I'll won't ever be picking this up again.

Bottle pour into shaker Aug. 14, 2009. Pours mostly pale yellow with very thin white head. At least there was some aroma to this - basically a water light beer with flavor added. Not too bad after 18 holes of golf on a hot summer day. Not much here, but it was better than regular Ultra or B. Light.

Pours a three finger white head that vanishes in a minute and leaves no lace. Clear ugly greenish amber color. strong carbonation and light bodied. Sweet raspberry nose. Flavor is sweet raspberry, squeaky clean finish. Good session beer for the non-beer drinker, nothing here for the serious beer drinker. Brewed on Mar 5, 2008, $1.50 for a 12oz bottle from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH.

A - White head that lasts about 15 seconds. The body is almost a fluorescent yellow.

S - The scent of raspberries and malt. It actually smells rather inviting.

T - Very little flavor here other than a slight berry taste and a hint of malt.

M - Very cold and slightly coarse.

~ This was left at my place after a cookout a few weeks back. I'm glad to have had the chance to try it but I won't be sampling this brew again anytime soon.

Poured out to reveal a color that closely resembles the color of the piss I take after a night of heavy drinking. Dehydrated. Burns a bit. Oh well.

Smells pretty good. Kind of nostalgic, like some sort of strawberry candy I enjoyed in my youth.

Taste was essentially a Michelob Ultra that had a few strawberries soaked in it. Some fake, plasticine berries. Kinda delicious, for the same reasons that Cook Out tastes so good when you're hammered.

Bubbly! Great carbonation. Felt decent in my mouth.

Went down smooth, but god, 4 percent alcohol? I wouldn't get a buzz off of 12.

Pretty sucky. But drinkable.

Poured from 12oz bottle.

A- Pours a pale clear yellow color. This had a small half finger white head that dies down instantly. No lacing left on the glass.

S- No beer aroma on this at all. This is all raspberry but almost too artifical smelling. Reminds me of this raspberry jam my family would buy when I was younger. Some light pomegranate in this but quickly gets covered by raspberry aroma.

T- This doesn't taste like beer at all. Raspberry upfront of this that is a little watered down overall. Pomegranate flavors come in but are sweet and to the point before dying into a watery raspberry flavor. There is a light beer finish on this that brings forth a sweet grainy flavor.

M- Light mouthfeel. Carbonation is very high on this beer. Raspberry left everywhere on the palate into the aftertaste with some light grains in the overall aftertaste. Crisp and clean tasting. Watery at times in the mouth.

D- Drinkable beer. Better than the other flavors they came out with. Still this is not really beer I think just some watered down raspberry flavor with some artifical sweetness added to it.

Poured into a pint glass.

It's golden and unusually clear. Foamy white head that doesn't last.

Smells like pomegranates and raspberries. This is absurd! Not much else.

It tastes like a dry soda with pomegranate and raspberry. Not much bitterness or malts.

Very thin and highly carbonated.

Overall, no thanks.

I am not quite sure what they were trying to dockers. I'm assuming appeal to the female maybe. I know plenty of girls who would hate this. Maybe it's their way of completing with the flavored malt beverages out there. Either way this isn't worth buying. It's still the same boring pale beer now with some watered down added flavors. Blah!

More alcoholic juice than beer. It's light, tastes and smells fruity, and goes down fairly easy, but you don't want to have too many or you will get sick to the stomach. It does not go well with food either. But its light and tastes OK. Good for those who don't like actual beer, but like to pretend they do, I guess.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light yellow body with a tiny, and I do mean tiny, white head.

Smell: 75% raspberries, 25% pomegranates, but 100% artificial.

Taste: About the same for the taste, though, mercifully, it isn't too sweet. Vaguest hint of grain beneath the flavoring. Ultra fake through to the very end of this thing.

Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.

Drinkability: Their Tuscan Orange was acceptable, but this, however, was so intensely artificial in flavor as to be unpleasant.

Holy chick beer. I'm really trying to take the purpose of this beer into consideration when reviewing it. It's fruity crap for people who don't like beer and therefore they should be drinking a Mike's Hard Lemonade or rum and Coke. Nevertheless, it's a pale pee color with a large white head that disappears very quickly. It looks like apple juice with a periodic bubble escaping to the surface. Smells like fruit. I drink a POM pomegranate juice from time to time and I eat raspberries and I suppose those odors are present. Along with a faint, faint stink of lreally light beer trying to poke through. It doesn't taste bad it just doesn't taste anything like beer. In fact, I pick up on just about no beer qualities whatsoever. Nonexistant malt, hops, or anything you'd find in real beer. It's water-thin and very lightly carbonated. Overall it's closer to a fruit juice than a beer. It's easy to drink, though. This is children's beer if there ever was such a thing. There's two more types of Ultra in the variety 12 pack that I got...

Into a pint glass, pale clear yellow color with some fizzy carbonation. Thin fizzy cap quickly fades to nothing. Nose is very sweet, like artificial sweetener. Scent of watermelon Jolly Ranchers and soggy grain. Taste is not as sweet as the nose. Mild berry flavor with a bit of wheaty/bready taste. Mouth is subtly bubbly, very smooth, light, and fizzy. Overall: Flavored malt water. Inoffensive. Sweeter smell than taste. Not very “beer” like at all. This is what I call “chick beer.”

This was “beer” one of three from a 12 pack sampler at a friend’s house. I only drank half of each beer. I can’t imagine anyone who actually likes beer drinking more than that.

Pours a pale yellow color with a one-finger head into my glass. Seems carbonated.

Aroma is detectable even from arm's length. Lots of pomegranate and raspberry. Seems more like a wine cooler at first.

Taste is smooth and full of pomegranate and raspberry upfront. Very faint though. Adjuncts show through, mainly corn. Like Michelob Ultra with fruit flavoring.

Mouthfeel has a Trix feel to it. When a beer reminds you of a breakfast cereal, it's probably best to avoid it. It's not sickly sweet though.

Not a great marriage of fruit flavors and beer, especially since neither are actually well-represented here. It's not horrible but it's not impressive either.

Stuck at a party with nothing else to drink but a Michelob Ultra Sampler and the first thing i thought of was that i've never reviewed these beers before. Score!

This was the secomd brew in my vertical of Ultras.

Fizzy yellowy brown in color. Smell is a mellow blend of pomegranate and raspberry. Taste is thankfully not as cloyingly sweet as the lime version. Some notes of pale malts. Drink while its ice cold or the flavors become somewhat medicinal.

This was another single that I came across during a recent shopping trip in support of a CANQuest (TM) trade. Curiosity seems to have gotten the best of me.

Once more, the harder that I poured, the quicker the fizzy, bone-white head seemed to dissipate. Color was a pale yellow with NE-quality clarity and a good bit of carbonation in evidence. Nose was a bit too perfume-like for my taste, certainly of raspberry, but much too sweet, almost like chemically-engineered esters than anything natural. Mouthfeel was thin and watery with a fizziness like pop and a really sweet flavor, again more like pop than beer. It has usually been my experience that raspberries impart a tartness in beer, not the sweetness that this had. Maybe it could be blamed on the pomegranate, but it was just a beer for people who really don't like beer. Finish was still much too sweet for my liking.

...so after a great day at a brewery and hanging out with friends, the pool looked great! but before the cooling process could begin I spyed a lady friend drinking one of these and grabbed one. 'oh yeah' Pours a light straw colour with some light lacing from the small head..'oh yeah'..Has some nice fruity aroma's that don't smell too artificial..'oh yeah'.. Taste is what you would expect from a fruit flavoured mass marketed drink, but as with the aroma, doesn't taste to fake- just muddled.. Overall, better than i thought it would be but still lacks anything a real beer drinker would want! ...'oh yeah'

Oh, how can I describe this beer. I tried all three of Michelob's fruit beers in a row, and how I wish I could forget the experience.

This was a scary, yellow-colored beer that resembled nothing so much as a carbonated whiz. There was less than a half finger head, and it was loud, fast, and fizzy, like a soda pop.

Aroma was of fragrant raspberries, almost floral, but there was no malt character at all (thank God).

Taste was like flat raspberry seltzer water. Nothing else. Wasn't at all like a beer.

Mouthfeel was fizzy and thin.

Drinkability... no. Just... no. Avoid it.

12 oz bottle poured into an American Tumbler. 4.2% ABV, 09168 (June 16th) Julian date.

A - Lightest. Beer. Ever. How much closer to clear can they get without going totally clear? Fizzy white head with no retention or lacing. Not that I'm surprised by that.

S - The aroma is all fruit on this one. Mainly raspberry with actually smells fairly good, with a touch of pomegranate. Not too syrupy, it's like a raspberry iced tea. Absolutely no beer aroma but for what it is....it's not too bad.

T - Not a hint of beer in there. Well, I take that back. There is a microscopic hint of beer at the very end on the aftertaste. Otherwise the taste is all pomegranate raspberry like the name says. It doesn't taste very good either. Sort of like a diluded iced tea with a sprinkle of artificial sweetener.

M - Thin, watery, and incredibly light-bodied with a sharp carbonation bite to the finish. Lingering semi-fruity aftertaste.

D - I don't know that I'll finish it. Interesting to dry but damn it, I could find a better use of two dollars. This is the girliest (no offense) beer there is. Geared towards women who work out and don't want "extra carbs" or whatever. I still want to try the other flavors for shits and giggles but I'll shed a tear every time for the glass that has to bear the burden.

I ended up giving the rest of it to my Mom who was moderately amused by it. Hmm...

From 355 ml. bottle no. 09070BM33. Sampled on January 10, 2010. The pour is a light yellow color with upwardly mobile carbonation. The white head is thin and short-lived. The aroma is too overpowered by the pomegranate and raspberry add-ins to be able to distinguish anything remotely close to malts or hops. Thin mouthfeel, which is average for a light beer. But it also has this honey-like texture as well. The taste is so entrenched in pomegranate and raspberry that it ends up coming off more like a wine cooler than a beer. Oh well, I guess they'll try any combination once.

12 oz bottle received from my buddy Dyan in our latest trade. I've heard a lot of bad things about this one, so I was pretty excited to give it a shot.

Appearance: Pale yellowish color, not quite MGD 64 pale, but close enough. Pours with a surprisingly decent head, but it disappears almost instantly.

Smell: Alcopop all the way, this doesn't resemble beer in the slightest, nor does it have a good fruit aroma. Funky artificial berry is all I'm getting here... Smells a bit like fruity chewing gum.

Taste & mouthfeel: More beery than the aroma implies, a light and semi-sweet malt base is felt beneath the fruit, which is still rather dominant. I'm all for fruit beer, but it helps when the fruit tastes like actual fruit and not some kind of funky fruit extract, which is the case here. The mouthfeel is light as can be and somewhat overcarbonated.

Overall, not as bad as I was hoping. It's definitely bad, but I've had worse. Nice try, Dyan. I'll have to see about getting you some Amnesia IPA.
