The beer pours a golden color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is average. It has a pale malt scent with a slight hop bitterness. It has a skunky kind of aroma to it as well as being quite dry. The taste is average as well. It has a grainy pale malt flavor with a dry and skunky aftertaste. The dry hopping does little to entice me here. The hops are very suttle and appear in the finish. The mouthfeel is decent. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is an average pale ale. I really wish if these macro brewers were going to brew quality beers they would use a little more hops and open the malt selection up to more than just the basic pale base grain, god knows they can afford it.

Copper color, small 1/4" white head. Cascade hoppy aroma.

Taste more of the same, solid bitterness especially for an AB product, a little caramel. This was a cool beer in the mid 90s, totally serviceable. A little more bitter than the English genre, but whatever, better for it. Would totally bang again when at a lesser bar or whatnot.

A somewhat dated 12 oz bottle from the back fo the refrigerator, wih the review tempered by memory from fresher bottles.
Look: surprisingly good, with a clear, deep amber body covered by a rather creamy looking, bone-colored head.
Aroma: earthy hops are stronger than the malt base
Flavor: again earthy hops over a sweet and light roast malt base but tainted with some metallic tones (attributed largely to age) and hints of corn.
Feel: Medium body with a very good carbonation level.
O: given a fresh bottle, not bad; even roughly average and, therefore, better than expected.
