I have drank quite a few porters and always think that they are drinkable and enjoyable. This one pushed my limits.

I have had several bottles now. The one I have now is OK but others have had a nose that resembled finger nail polish. This one is smoky, and charcoal.

The taste is shallow with malt and some smokiness. Mouthfeel is somewhat carbonated and OK. Drinkability depends on the bottle. Not a consistant offering.

This is from some old beer notes I found while getting ready for a move.

Appearance: It is light shade of brown with a very small amount of tan head and lace.

Smell: It has a toasted malt smell that is very faint.

Taste: It is mildly chocolate bitter sweet. There is a thinness that in the mouthfeel that I think affects the taste. It has a watery roasted malt character.

Mouthfeel: Thin for this style I would go as far to say on the thinner side of medium.

Overall: An average beer that is a poor example of this style.
