Served in a pint glass, a little white head dissapates pretty quickly. The aroma is malty, a cleaner aroma than I had expected. Definitely a bit more "watered down" than most of the marzens I have had. This one is highly drinkable, but then again, most marzens are. If you want a cheap version of the style, that is pretty clean tasting and go for it. If you want an oktoberfest with some ooomf, don't .

Wow, its has been so long ago that I had this beer as part of a michelob sample pack. I liked it at the time, it was one of the first "premium beers" I ever tried. If I were to try to rate it today I would have to say that the appearance was the most marzen thing about the beer.
Smell, come on its an AB product, it had little smell a bit more than their normal lagers.
Taste, I remember it being semisweet with a little more biscuit malt. It was pleasant, but very weak for a marzen, there was none of the earthy tastes I would now expect from the style. Certainly not a great example of style, but will always hold a place for me, because without it I might still drink bud lite only.

This is from some old beer notes I found while getting ready for a move.
Appearance: It has a light copper colored body. The head and lace were thin, white and disappeared quickly.
Smell: The aroma was the closest thing to a German Marzen this beer had. Caramel malt and bread like yeast tones that were pleasant to the nose.
Taste: It tasted alright but not true to the style. There were small Marzen qualities like biscuit qualities but that was really it.
Mouthfeel: Medium with hardly any bite.
Overall: My issue once again lies with the fact that it is not true to the style. It was an alright beer that I would drink again under a different name.
