My theory is that you should judge a beer based on what it sets out to be.

Natty Light sets out to be the cheapest swill possible that will get you drunk (eventually) and not taste awful. Why not judge it amongst peers?

Do I enjoy good beer? Absolutely. I'm also in college and I enjoy getting drunk in social events. Also, I am in college and therefore I am poor.

Appearance - clear/straw yellow, see-through. Not the point of this beer. 3.

Smell - it barely smells. Perfectly fine for what the beer wants to be. 5.

Taste - excellent; as close to nothing as possible. No nasty aftertaste like many other bottom of the barrel light beers. 5.

Mouthfeel - a little watery. I still like a bit of mouthfeel in my cheap beer.

OVERALL: A

Frankly, there's no reason to buy crap like Bud Lite over Natty Light, and people who insist otherwise (stupid college kids) just want attention.

There's 1 reason to buy this beer. The price. I bought a 12 pack of it last night for about 8 bucks.

Pours a very fizzy head and it disappears fast. Extremely clear beer... looks like water with some food coloring. Smells like nothing but maybe some grain. Tastes like nothing but maybe some grain. NO AWFUL AFTERTASTE thou. So it saves itself from an F.

A-Fizzy light yellow color. Head rises and dies. Tons of bubbles and clear as day.

S-Ultra watery. Macro smell behind the blatant lack of smell.

T-One of, if not the most watery beers I have had. Then there's the macro smell.

M-Yeah, its watery with the only distinction coming from the intense carbonation.

O/D-Super light. Easy to put back endless amounts of these. I actually prefer the lack of taste to more Macro taste.

This review may not be fair as this beer has expired about 4 months ago. Not sure if this makes that much difference.

Pale yellow and completely see-through. Some bubbles. I am actually impressed because this has about two fingers of head. It doesn't last very long but settles to an ultra thin, circular blanket instead of disappearing completely.

Smell is awful. I can literally smell nothing more than vomit.

Small amount of off flavored malt in the taste. Garden soil. Very metallic also. I might as well shove a few quarters in my mouth if I wanted the same taste. Little hop flavor and what's there tastes like dirt.

Lighter than water. Crisp carbonation. No texture.

Once again, what is the point of light beer?

Poured into a plastic cup while playing beer pong.

As a general rule, I only play beer pong with good beer. The exception was this. I had heard so many awful things that I just had to try it. Appearance is light, no head or lacing. Smells barely of corn and cereal. Taste is same. No flavor. Mouthfeel is light crisp.

Overall: Never again.

Quite possibly the worst beer in the entire world. Natural Light shows what mindless marketing can convince people of buying. Natural Light is a beer people buy not for the experience of beer, but for getting drunk. It is made to be light so that you can consume more it it; not so that a creative beer can be enjoyed. Its lackluster performance is due to its lack of concern to even take any risks. It is Great Value cereal grains, yeast, and if it has hops, I can't taste it.

I tried this beer because I have a bunch of friends who had it laying around. NEVER AGAIN!

Light straw colored with some bubbles. Not really a smell to it, maybe grain, grass corn. Taste is the same, very smooth and mild tastes of grass and some corn. Mouthfeel is very light body with decent carbonation, goes down smooth and easy. It's a cheap beer for tailgates parties, or days on the boat.

Not a very good beer at all. Leaves a bad aftertaste in your mouth and gives me a headache in the mornings. People get it because it is the cheapest case to buy in most distributors, at least around me. Not really any taste to it, the smell is sub par and the appearance is nothing too special. You will see college kids drinking it and that's about it.

A: Straw yellow, fizzy white head, ample but short-lived.

S: Smells tinny and adjunct with corn, very little else.

T/M: Tastes like seltzer water tainted with malts. The inevitable sixth beer tastes only like seltzer water.

It is what it is and it gets the job done. The job being inebriation.

Of course it is going to taste pretty watered down, but for the price, it can't be beat. Great for parties and chugging, that's about iy. Not exactly a beer that you would want to sip but if a little buzz is what you desire, drink some Natty.

If you pour it quickly, you'll get some foam that dissolves instantly before your eyes. Don't even bother with a glass, just drink it from the can. Smells and tastes are pretty much non-existent.

It is what it is. Cheap and ultra-light, you can get over the watered down taste and general bad beer smell as long as you're willing to buy and drink a lot of it. Tastes like spoiled water mixed with aluminum foil, but that dissipates after about 10 of them. Great for college and about nothing else, but still created a lot of memories or lack thereof.

Reviewed at a friend's BBQ.

Just barely colored at all, with a slight yellowness. Head was foamy and full of air and lasted only seconds. Lacing wasn't a word you'd use to describe this beer.

Smell wise there wasn't much there. Just a smidge of graininess was mostly what I could detect.

Taste followed the smell. Very lightly grainy, with some corn. Very dry and extremely light bodied, almost like carbonated water with just a touch of beer added.

Mostly good for frat boys, not something I'd buy for myself.

Had this in an Old Chicago as a humorous way to mark a halfway point in their "World Beer Tour". Needless to say, this one can will be the ONLY one I ever drink. While I can enjoy cheap beer for what it is, there is almost no taste at all to this beer. It's as if rancid water was shown a picture of Coors/Bud/Miller light and told to try and imitate it, and it failed miserably. Very very bad beer, and even an insult to "cheap beer"....

You cannot consider this beer. I will not do any such thing. Just nasty, frat endorsed beer. I guess people by it for the price? Yet if you respect beer...pass this up.
Just like its peers Bud light and Coors light, there is no smell. No color. No taste. Just do everyone a favor, and let the college kids have this one (even though I myself am in college).

I gave this beer the rating I did because;

1) The appearance mirrors the taste. Which is to say, the beer looks just like you'd expect it to taste.

2) The smell is barely noticable. But that's fine for a light Pilsner beer.

3) Taste; Good becaue the manufacture claims it's smooth and that's exactly what it is.

3) Mouth feel, smooth. That's what they claim. It goes down real easy.

If your looking for an alternative to Miller Lite and want something with less taste and lots of smoothness, this is it. Some guy reviewed this and said something like it's a good beer for a hot summer night. I would agree.

Natural Light is one of those beers thats associated with any college party in my general area simply because its usually one of the cheapest if not the cheapest cases of beer you can buy.

Pouring the beer either from a bottle or tap gives a slight, maybe 1cm head for about 1 minute before it fades into a rather urine looking substance.

It simply looks like piss, and its taste and mouthfeel are also probably quite similar to piss. Its only feature is a nonexistant smell, which I cannot decide is a benefit or detriment to its overall rating.

Stay far, far away from this liquid..

The color is piss-yellow, straw color. There's absolutely no head after a few seconds of opening and/or pouring it. There's a shit ton of bubbles.

The smell really isn't there. There's some grain, some beery water.

The taste consists of carbonated water, and lots of generalized grain flavor.

The mouthfeel is bubbly.

Its drinkability is through the roof.

GLASS: Pilsener Glass
TEMP: Fridge chilled to approx 38 degrees
24oz TallBoy Can (Purchased in Kansas/full-strength)

This has got to be the least 'beer-looking' beer that I've ever had. It is a very pale, straw yellow, color. Almost like someone watered-down a Bud, or something. Very weak looking. The head of bone-white foam is almost two-fingers thick, but dissipates rapidly, leaving wispy bits of foam on the surface. The lacing is in medium-thickness strands, but is pretty slippery.

Very light trace of malt. Small dose of corn. Decent graininess to it. Light touch of lemon, maybe from hops? Like the look, it's very unimpressive.

If you drained the juice from a can of corn into a glass, squeezed an 1/8th of a lemon into it, dropped in an Alka-Seltzer tab, then watered it down to 50%, I'm guessing that you would get something that tastes like this.

It's light-bodied with an almost high level of carbonation. It is very light and crisp, for sure, but the crispness has an undesired sharpness to it.

Sure, it's cheap, and I guess that if that's your main goal then it will probably get you where you want to go. I'd rather have something that tastes good. Although, if I had to drink some BMC product, this one is so bland that it comes off as completely inoffensive. That's a positive note, I guess.

This beer does get a bad rap however it does have its place. A very light brew that is cold and refreshing.

Excellent brew for hot summer days when tailgating at a ballpark munching down hotdogs.

Bring a 30 pack to BBQ and keep the IPA's stashed. Cheers.

Ahh, Natural Light. I'd never planned on writing this review, but some were left in my refrigerator and I felt strangely compelled.

A - Sickly yellow coloration with a tiny bit of froth which vanished from my pint glass. No visible lacing.

S - Harsh odor of must and a touch of grain.

T - Astringent and mostly flavorless. Even though the alcohol content is low you can still taste it over anything else.

M - Watery light body, sharp carbonation, unpleasant taste left on the tongue.

D - Makes most other macros taste like dessert. Avoid, unless at a frat party and in need of losing your sobriety.

A: light straw that looks like vegetable water that previous embraced a thick artichoke, thin and watery with urine notes

S: a cloying corn sweetness, with notes of some mild plastics and/or copper

T: It is like evian with drop of malt extract added, very light and with a mild vegetable finish on the palate

D: This beer soars in this aspect in the regard that it will take you about 4 of these to get you anywhere near a respectable beer will make you feel, with the offset being taste, embarrassment, and latent shame in the endeavor

M: incredibly light and it is forgotten before it is swallowed. it serves a purpose and I have outlived this purpose and this beer is of little utility to me.

I'm surprised at the number of bad reviews of this beer. Maybe it's because they all were of the canned variety. To me, any canned beer is far inferior to bottled -- unless somehow it was brewed to be enhanced by metallic taste.

But about this beer. It has flavor, decent balance of effervescence and body, and quite a bit of real beer substance, considering it's a light beer. I'm new to light beers, I admit, but I think I've found a decent brew here in Natural Light.

A- Very light straw color. Pours with a very large head of small white bubbles that fades quickly leaving no lacing.

S- Strange and off. Apples come through a bit along with corn and metal. Yuck.

T- Almost saved by how watery it is. There is the corn and metal from the nose but not the apple. Theres some sweetness that doesn't taste entirely unlike malt. The back end is metal and urine, forcing you to chug down more to wash it away.

M- Fairly high in carbonation and extremely watery this beer fortunately goes down quickly but isn't much different than water.

D- Well you could easily have 20 of these but who would want to? It does its job but in a very unpleasant way. Synonymous with bad beer for a good reason.

A - I actually am not even sure what Natty Light looks like, because why would I waste my time to pour it into a glass? However, when a freshman girl spills it all over my floor, it looks like my urine after a bad bout with the flu. It is very clear, which pays tribute to how much water is actually in it.

S - It smells like old corn. That is the best way I can describe it without mentioning the words: dorm room, musk, satan, or wet puzzle pieces.

T - The taste of aluminum and chalk dominates the front end, which tastes of a slight malt and corn. The back end tastes like a hot spoon of old corn.

M - Very carbonated, thin, water

O - After I drank Natural Light, I wept. All jokes aside, if you are looking for a beer that costs less than a dollar, there are many better options. In my opinion, similar beers such as Bud Light/Coors Light/Miller Light are better, just because of the water-to-corn ratio alone.

Can (like there's a difference). The appearance is it's best attribute; and it was unimpressive. The rest smells, tastes, and feels like (what I imagine to be) horse piss. Here's a tip: you're that hard up, go for Steel Reserve. Or better yet, quit drinking.
