I normally don't review a beer in it's various packagings (bottle, can, tap, etc) unless the beer actually differs in each container.

I hear people say all the time.."Do you have X beer on draught?" and if the waitress/bartender says no, only in bottles that person will bypass that beer in favor of another choice.

Bud Light is as ubiquitous as water or Pepsi in my neck of the woods (being so close to St. Louis and all), and I actually can detect some difference in each packaging since I've downed gallons of this stuff since I was 15.

In a can, Bud Light is a very sub-par offering and on tap it's slightly better. In a bottle (and I mean actually gulped from the bottle as opposed to being poured into a glass) this beer is refreshing while being completely tasteless.

There is something to be said for not smelling this one and just pouring from the bottle into the gut. This is refreshing, but not tasty at all. Drinking from the bottle preserves the carbonation more than pouring this into a glass, and that fizzy raspy feel makes this even more like an ice cold soda-pop.

I think that this is why Bud Light is such a huge seller. Lay people (non-BAs) just want to drink something cold that gives them a buzz, and this is what Bud Light bottles are all about.

Lets be realistic, bud light may not be craft beer. But it has got more people laid than any craft beer. Most of life of a man revolves around getting laid, then you grow up get married then getting laid doesn't matter as much. When is the last time Pliny got you laid??? Dont hate on people that drink light beer, let them do their thing. Most girls do not drink craft beer if they drink any beer at all. I personally am beer spoiled due to my occupation, and I drink tons of craft beer with visits to Russian river, 21st amendment, victory, magic hat and goose island so far this year. The only reason these craft beers exist is because anheuser busch lets them. Craft beer is about 10% of the beer industry. Beer is meant to be drank. Drink up.
