On-tap at Farmhouse.
Pours a clear golden yellow-orange with off-white head. Nice lacing.
Bitter aroma of floral hops with some light citrus, orange and tropical fruit.
Upfront taste is bitter floral and citrus hops with some distinct orange or tropical fruit. Toasted and sweet malt. Bitter hoppy finish--floral, citrus, tropical fruit, resin. Lingering citrus bitterness. Some fruity esters come out at the finish as it warms along with a more floral lingering flavor.
Light to medium body with moderate to high carbonation. Clean, kind of bubbly finish.
Much more American in style than I expected. Huge hop presence with moderate bitterness. Floral components are a little more like Belgian IPAs I've had, but that's the only comparison I could draw. Easy to drink and really good--I was impressed.

On tap @ Hop Leaf
Cloudy light pale yellow in color. Forms a fairly sizeable white head. Aroma is off: toast, cardboard, plywood, and yeasty esters that come of reminiscent of decomposition (I said: "rotten cherries" my wife described it as "dead goose") Aroma is really odd and I'm having a hard time getting a grasp of it. Taste isn't much better: a shitload of toast with a good dose of biscuit malt in the mix. Some herbal hops on the finish, but unfortunately they don't complement the toasty flavor in the least. Light to medium body with a dry toastiness to it. Leaves a rather unpleasant coating in the mouth. Overall, this beer is a good try, but far from anything I'd want to have again.

Served in a tulip glass at Farmhouse Tavern.
Gotta keep trying out these new locals, I thinks to myself. Luckily, here's another for me sample... It pours a clear golden brass topped by over a finger of light cream-white foam. The nose comprises wheat, grass, light lemon zest, light coriander, and light banana. The taste brings in more of the same, along with some rye-like spice (almost clove-ish) and some black pepper. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry-ish finish. Overall, a pretty solid BPA, fairly enjoyable, but nothing really close to special. I'd take another, definitely.

Had on tap at Brixie's. Served in a shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a clear golden yellow with a creamy white head forming on the pour. Thick with nice retention that leaves some sticky lace.
S: Fruity Belgian yeast is prevalent on the nose with light cracker malts and minimal grassy hops.
T: Nice Belgian yeast characteristics with some fruity esters. There's a slight spiciness to it, but the pale ale start to come through with some cracker and pale malts with a little bit of bitter hops in the finish.
M: Light bodied with a nice carbonation level. The finish is clean with just a hint of lingering yeast.
O: A highly drinkable Belgian IPA is always a nice addition to any line-up. I'm two for two in enjoying Solemn Oath beers so far. Keep it up!

Pours into a Duvel tulip glass a frothy, billowy head falls to rocky peaks. A great appearance that is a clear golden color. A ring appears with effervescent bubbles rising after some time.
The nose is fruity, combining a bit of spicy ale yeast, hops and roasted belgian malt.
The taste is nice and balanced between dry and fruity with a nice, subtle belgian yeast funk. A tang in the aftertaste lasts and lasts and is quite pleasant and refreshing.
Mouthfeel is light/medium with an appropriatly medium carbonation
I was impressed by the quality of this brew and happy to find the brewery after a bit of searching through the industrial park. The new guys on the block are very freindly and knowledgeable. The bartender was glad to share his beer knowledge and answer my many questions. Cheers Solemn Oath!
