Poured from 12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: murky light-yellow hue with a strong effervescence and three-plus fingers of frothy white foam. The head seems to have quite a lot of tenacity; I like it.
Smell: sweet malt with a lightly fruity, lightly floral hop aroma. Whimsical, yet alluring.
Taste: lightly sweet malt with some fruity character up front. This develops into a more floral flavor, although the hop bitterness is harsher than I would expect based on the rest of this beer's character. It is decent, but it doesn't entice me as much as the aroma.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of well-integrated carbonation. Quite creamy and satisfying.
Overall: this is a decent and drinkable white IPA. I think the flavor could be smoothed out a bit, but it's still a good-drinkin' beer.

Pours a nice cloudy white/yellow color, nice carbonation, nice one-finger white head, with some nice sticky lacing left behind. The nose is malty, with some yeast notes, and slightly hoppy, wheaty, with some coriander. The taste is mostly malty/yeasty, with some hop notes. Medium body, the finish is dry and bitter. Overall a tasty brew, but most likely will not buy again.

Pours a truly ridiculous, frothy white head of large-ish sized bubbles that fizzes loudly and collapses into an open celled froth sticky with resin, clinging to the sides of the glass. A bright citrus hop aroma with a touch of a soapy back to it (maybe the spices?). Hazy, yellow-straw color is reminiscent of a Wit. Starts piney with notes of grapefruit and citrus rind, builds to a medium bitterness, and then a SMOOTH, RICH malt back flies out of nowhere. The finish is a lingering bitterness on top of that smooth malt. As it sits on the palate, and the hop bitterness recedes, a nice coriander flavor starts to creep out from the malt.
Overall, this is my first White IPA. I was hesitant about the style, but it's similar to a Belgo-IPA (just more malt-centric, so it's pretty awesome. I LOVE Hoppy Wheats, so this is a great style for me. The Wit aspect maybe makes for a bit of an odd-ball in terms of clashing profiles/flavors, but it works well enough in the sense of coriander and citrus hops.

had I not enjoyed so many wonderful white ipas over the past year or so, I may have rated this one more favorably. instead, this one gets average marks. it pours a hazy pale yellow color, almost totally flat. the nose lacks any of the hops intensity one would typically associate with an india pale ale, and the wheat malt seems watery and a little stale. the flavor is also deficient of hops that at best this can be called an American wheat, not a white ipa. there is some funny coriander flavor in there too, and a cleaner-like essence which comes out of nowhere. its still refreshing and not all that bad, but it just doesn't fit the ipa category at all, and so I have to be a little harsh with it. the carbonation was well short of where it needs to be, and the body is a stagnant lighter medium as a result. this one is well conceived, but needs a lot more work to become something that I would buy again.

Ghostrider White IPA pours a hazy, yellow-straw color and is capped with a good amount of white foam. Light aromas of wheat and sweetness, very light. As the name implies, this brew lands somewhere between and IPA and Belgian Wit. The wheat and pale malts open up the palate to a finish of peppery hops and a touch of lemon. Moderate carbonation and a medium body round out this interesting brew.

Haven't tasted anything in the Wasatch lineup too special until I had this one.
One finger head initially, little lacing.
A: A nice light cloudy golden color, definately looked different.
S: Light sweet hop aroma, not very strong but definately there.
T: Almost a mix between a good Hef and an Ipa. Nice fruity hop kick with some zest of citrus and spices.
M: Medium carbonation, nice mouthfeel, you can feel the cloudiness. Definately works well with the taste.
Overall. This is definately not an awesomely hop punched brew like a typical great IPA, but it is very refreshing from the line of Ipas I've been sampling that all taste basically the same. Great sesion beer, easy drinking, but very tasty. I was surprised.

12 oz bottle from the UBC beer store poured into my perfect pint after about 15 minutes out of the fridge.
Appearance: I was sure to swirl up most of the yeast on the bottom of the bottle. It poured with a massive white head that stuck around for a while. The beer was a cloudy straw yellow white sort of color. Would be fun to try to float a stout on top of this. Has got to be a good portion of wheat in this because the head retention and lacing are awesome.
Smell: Citrus, both from the hops and I suspect from the yeast. Not much, if any, malt smell present.
Taste: Light cracker type malts (and wheat) to go along with citrus aroma and flavors. Lemon and a bit of maybe clementine. A slight bitter bite on the end.
Mouthfeel: With the yeast and wheat, this one is a medium bodied beer. Nice crisp dry finish.
Overall: An pretty interesting style. Not sure why they introduced this during the winter, I would much prefer this to be a summer seasonal. Tastes like a hopped up witbier.

Bright white head on a hazy light golden brew in the tall glass. Very nice aroma of flowery hops and pineapple. Nice carbonation that lasts all the way down the glassful.
I'd have to call this a hopped-up Witbier, which is maybe the right category. Brewer says it's dry hopped (45 IBUs) with a touch of coriander. Light bodied, pale malt flavor, and a spicy flavor. A very nice mouthful of hops but only a moderate bitterness. You certainly wouldn't mistake this for the usual hop-crazed IPA. A little funky graininess, almost a hint of plastic, along with the spice. But it's actually quite quaffable and would be worth seeking out on a Utah beer expedition.
From the 12 oz bottle bought at Utah Brewers Cooperative brewery store in Salt Lake.

Hmmm a white IPA, sounds interesting! It pours a cloudy pale yellow color; much like a summer shandy looks in a glass only with a lot better head retention. The aroma is full of bitter hops just waiting to tickle you nose. The taste is quite citrusy with a pretty good bitter bite. It almost taste like a lemon zest beer infused with lots of hops. This is an interesting, different style of brew for sure. Something you have to try to for yourself.
