12oz brown with a freshness date.
LOOK: Massive sticky head takes a long time to subside, orange amber color shows some haze
SMELL: Grassy, oily resin, slightly catty, orange pith, evergreen, exotic fruit, biscuity, hint of yeast
TASTE: Hop resin, leafy, dried grass, orange rind, piney, faint tobacco, bitter middle, caramel, toasted grain, yeast, Asian pears, mango, warming alcoholic esters, bitter drying finish
Hard to pick out the 9%abv at first, well round with an assertive bitterness but not to the point of being a palate killer. Hopheads should check this one out at least once. Good drinking.

Clear golden copper with a big offwhite head that sticks around and leaves some clumpy sheets of lace.
Big hop aroma with some toasty biscuity malt backing. Hops are floral, grapefruity/citrusy, and piney/resiny.
Solid toasty biscuit malt backbone with some alcohol burn at the end. Floral, grapefruit rind, pine, and resin dominate the hop profile. Malt and booze complement the hops for a very enjoyable DIPA that isn't a hopbomb.
Nice bitterness that isn't overpowering. dry sticky finish. medium body on lower end of carbonation scale.
Drinks very well. Good marriage of hops and malts help this one stick out. Would seek this out again.
Bottled on 4/3/13. Hops may have faded some.

Got in a trade with swingracex. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 2/12/2013. Pours lightly hazy golden copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, lemon zest, floral, grass, light pine, caramel, light honey, and light bread. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and balance of hop and malt notes; with decent strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, floral, grass, light pine, caramel, bread, and light honey. Fair amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, light pine, caramel, and bread on the finish for a good bit. Very nice flavor balance of hops and malt sweetness; with good complexity and zero cloying flavor after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a slick and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good double IPA. Good balance and complexity of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.
