Mostly clear orange amber. Thin but persistant white head with some decent lace.
Mostly malty, bready, toast aroma. Some slight citrussy hops in the nose as well.
Malty with a decent bittering hop flavor. Slightest hint of fruitiness. Hops are more of a pungent variety.
Medium bodied moderate carbonation. Slightly sticky on the palate.
Definately not an exciting IPA, but it's decent.

First ever trial of a Squatters brew. Excited by the variety found in great bottle shop is Tucson, AZ while visiting in-laws.
Pours modest orange with straw-yellow highlights. Weak, white bubbly head with decent noticeable lacing.
Aroma is sweet floral and citrus - mostly peach/mango variety rather than strong citrus
Taste is similar with dominant sweetness of peaches, ?mango, and faint orange peel. Mildly crisp bitterness with floral hops coming through intermittently. Noted lack of piney/resinous hops in the version of an IPA.
M: refreshing but fairly robust medium mouthfeel. Has a very smooth finish without any bitter bite on the end.
A very solid beer. The hops profile was unlike most I have had in many months but very enjoyable overall. More of a sweet style IPA than the bitterness expected. I would try this again for the unusual characteristics that set it apart, but just not hitting my favorite style points.

Pours a nice, dense, white head that is full of resin and laces the glass nicely. Great aroma of grapefruit with a touch of pine. Golden hue with a touch of amber. The way the thick head just sits atop the liquid is so picturesque! Starts bright with citrus bursting in, moves into a slight pine character and a flash of metallic before the malt muscles its way in. The finish is mild pine atop biscuit.
Overall, this is one of my all-time favorite IPA's.
It's so perfectly balanced between malt and hop bitterness. Not too high on the IBU's (55), but PACKED with flavor and aroma; just how I like 'em!
Fell in love with then one when I lived out West, glad to be able to get it in the Midwest!

a better than average ipa, this is well made but a little generic on the flavor profile. the pours is a nice bronzed golden color, mostly clear, with several inches of airy white head. the nose is hoppy and bitter, but mellowed by an English malt profile that puts in a touch of caramel sweetness and color. the hops have somewhat of a tropical fruit profile, with pineapple rings and dried mango coming to mind, but there is much sweetness and in the end the bitterness washes away the fruit. good medium body on this from good use of grain, this is a good all season ipa as a result. the flavor isn't particularly interesting overall, but it is satisfying and it fits the ipa genre well. I would like to see some more interesting hop variety here, dry hop this with sorachi or something and now then we will talk! fine carbonation and easy enough to drink. a B to B+ beer overall.

From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #61 (Feb 2012):
LOOK: Hazy, pale amber
SMELL: Hop resin, spice, leafy, pipe tobacco, piney, light caramel, yeast, biscuity
TASTE: Smooth, hop forward, grainy, leafy, vegetal, spicy, oily, bitter, toasted biscuits, yeast, pineapple, passion fruit, hoppy finish
What was expected has been given. This IPA is all about old-school balance, without forgetting its hoppy roots. Fondness grows after each sip, followed by mourning as our glasses empty. A damn solid IPA, one that we wish we had more of.

A - Poured out a clear, copper color with a two-finger, off-white head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass.
S - It smelled very floral with citrus and grapefruit notes.
T - It tasted of grapefruit, citrus, and pine. A nice burnt toast maltiness as a backbone.
M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied IPA with a dry, clean finish.
O - This is a pretty tasty IPA. Glad I picked this one up in Minnesota.

a pale orange body with a white head that dissipates very quickly.
smells of citrus and pine, but low character of each, very low for an ipa.
the taste matches the smell. I don't always want a huge flavor, but this is kinda weak.
mouthfeel is decent.
I guess this makes for a session ipa

12 oz bottle pours a lightly hazed gold color with a small cap of white head. Not much retention and average lace.
Nose shows some nice tropical fruit hop aromas with a biscuity, light malt backdrop. Smells pretty good actually, I am fairly impressed.
Taste is a nice blend of grainy malt and vibrant hop flavor. The bitterness is controlled and the balance is pretty good if you like a hop-flavor forward IPA as opposed to highly bitter. As it warms the malt may even lean a bit earthy and maris otter-esque. Id say this is more English style than American, but the hop flavor seems more American. A good hybrid, perhaps?...everything works pretty well together. Id have no problem getting another sixer of this sometime.
