A - Pours a hazed golden orange with near a finger of white head, decent retention, nice lacing.
S - Smells of sweet malts, some spiced rye and heaps of citrusy hops. Tangerine/grapefruit.
T - Rye and resinous tastes from the hops come through up front and fade into a very sweet tangerine/orange/mango/grapefruit type of citrusy sweetness with a boozy dryness. A sweet finish/aftertaste
M - Medium bodied+, not too heavy but more of a sipper than a session for sure. Appropriate carbonation.
O - Very very good sweet/juicy fruit profile as well as sharper citrusy bitters. Would probably like it more as a session with a little less boozyness but at 10% its pretty mild. Definitely a fan

Poured from a 12oz. can into a snifter.
It's extremely drinkable, which almost de facto excludes it from being an imperial representation of the style depending on how stringent the criterion is.
Decent lacing, slightly off white head that didn't want to hang out, and beautiful pale orange in color.
Extremely well balanced with a mild hop aftertaste. Finish is CARAMEL, wow, I've never tasted it so concisely before.
Would have liked a little more hop in the aroma (and overall, as it's an imperial), but I did appreciate this take on an often over the top style.

Call me crazy... but first sip reminded me of Pliny.
I have drank a Dales Pale Ale and a Founders Centennial IPA previously in the evening, and this is holding it's taste on my palate quite well.
It has a smooth taste for an Imperial IPA, with crisp aftertaste.
I would rate its smell as the least impressive trait, not bad, just not defining.
A slightly malty aftertaste, that doesn't make you forget you're drinking an IPA.
Good stuff.. wish I could find it more often.
