I Love this place!!This is the place real beer drinkers go to drink and hangout. The community table in the middle of the shop allows people of different backgrounds to sit and share stories or discuss beer (which is what usually happens). All in all Salud doesn't get the same commercial exposure as other beer stores in Charlotte but it is by far the best.

Jason, the owner, is a down to earth guy who treats you like a friend from the moment you walk in. He is very knowledgeable about beer and does not act like one of these stuck up self proclaimed beer know it alls. He carries various types of beer that you usually don't see in other stores.

If you like good quality beer, good people, and want to be treated like part of the family go to Salud.

The two things that draw me to this particular beer store: location and 8 rotating taps.
They always have superb beers on tap, a lot seasonals. I had Hopslam on draft here a week ago.
Their location, in the NoDa neighborhood of Charlotte, is great for grabbing a beer or two, and then barhopping. There are several bars/restaurants with great draft lists to check out within walking distance.
The store is rather small with a limited selection, but it is very organized and the quality of the selection is great.

Corner of the building behind the Cajun place in NoDa. A neat old brick store front. Looks like the owners are from my neck of the woods, Michigan. Solid mix of local, national and import craft. Sixers and singles. Though you may need to really pick through the coolers to make sure you don't miss something. Or you could just ask the workers, they were helpful and well aware of what was in there. They do seem to get a good bit of hard to find/low volume stuff.

I think they had room for about 8 drafts, they seem to rotate quickly because of the small bar area and nice late hours. Usually some real nice stuff on tap. A chill atmosphere compared to the other more bar like atmospheres in the area. One tv, but mostly it has the sound off and the noise is people talking.

Something that was needed in this part of town I believe. Brawleys-esque. I like it.

only made it here once during my visit to Charlotte this summer. Fine spot for a wide variety of bottle available both at room temp and cold. Also there is a moderate amount of draft pours for consumption on premises. Owner was friendly and full of general and local beer info. They sell a moderate selection of snacks/salsa/sauces etc. But you go here for the quality BA worthy beer options. Well worth a visit if you are local or visiting. A cool beer boutique in a fun and funky neighborhood. Go and enjoy

For an independent beer shop Salud stands out among others. Their location is obviously an advocate of alcohol appreciation. The owner seems to have a wealth of knowledge regarding various stlyes and has a plethora of advice onto which beer to try next. I am currently drinking the beer that he has suggested to my friend and I and he was spot on with all his suggestions. The beer selection is very comprehensive and thorough as well and interesting. The "bar" is complete with countless empties and beer drinking accroudeme. Also there is a certain manly aspect of being allowed to drink your beer from draught and pick out the beer that your are taking home at the same time. Topped of with a NES system in the front and this is a go to place for Charlotte, NC beer drinkers with an appetite for adventure.

Wow. This place is a true gem for beer enthusiasts. It is by far the best beer store I've been to in the country, bar none. There is a handful of beers on tap so you can stay for a pint, peruse the extensive beer selection with great insight from the owner, then crack a newly purchased bottle and relax on the couch while deciding your next move. (hint: have another) I wish we had a place like this in Chicago. Whether you are a local beer nerd or just traveling through, do not miss this place. Excellent, excellent store.

This is a new beer shop that opened a few weeks ago in NoDa. The owner Jason is very friendly and knowledgeable. He has 6 taps of great stuff. Mostly bombers and singles for sale with a limited number of 6 packs. Lots of great choices and some beers you dont see at the larger box stores. Prices are a bit higher than you might find at Total Wine but they do a lot more volume so I can see why. There is a small patio area as well as a sitting area in the front and a bar that can seat maybe 5 or 6. This place has a great neighborhood vibe to it. Lots of great conversation while enjoying a beer. Salud fits right into the neighborhood.
