Farmageddon is our wild farmhouse ale that we've been brewing, blending, and aging for almost as many years as we've been open. The blending process allows us to maintain a common thread across batches, the aging adds nuanced layers, while the brett and bacteria work hard to create small idiosyncrasies in each release. It's a refined, effervescent, and delicious beer worthy of special occasions and idle weeknights.
And every so often we decide to age a batch with Montmorency cherries from Niagara because sometimes the cliche "with a cherry on top" is both figurative and literal. Not to mention, delicious.

Reddish pink colour, ring of pink-whit head, little to no lace. Smell is full on cherry, brett and funky, comes off a bit like a fresh kriek lambic in some regards, oak and slight white wine, red jolly ranchers and light acidity. Taste is of cherry that goes from tart to sweet, fruity and some cereal grains, funky, light brett throughout, oak, a bit of a riesling meets apple cider flavour going on, dry in the finish. Lightly carbonated, dry medium body. Truly excellent stuff, another exceptional beer from a brewery that very rarely disappoints.

500 mL Bottle. ABV 6.3%.
Appearance: Veiled orange/red/salmon, Just over half a finger of off white fizzy head, Little retention, Broken collar remains.
Aroma: Brett, Hay, Sweat, Lemon, Slight juicy cherry.
Mouthfeel: Just under medium body, Medium carbonation, Off dry, Mouth coating finish.
Flavour: Brett, Lemon, Cherry, Sweat, Very slight tropical fruit (guava/passion fruit).
Overall: 2019 Version. Much more Brett than cherry, but it was detectable. I felt like a bit more cherry was warranted, but all in all - nicely done.

Definitely a Brett beat with solid cherry overtones - almost like a Kriek or Flemish red. Solid lambic esque aroma and taste with a clean and crisp aftertaste.

Bottle: Poured a reddish color ale with a large off-white foamy head. Aroma of tart cherry with light rustic malt notes is quite enticing. Taste is a nice of tart cherry with no acidity, light rustic malt presence with light oak notes also perceptible. Body is about average with good carbonation. Refreshing, complex and seems to hold the route even after two years in the bottle.

Hazy pink color with pinkish head. Aroma has lambic style funk with barnyard notes and earthy cherry pits. Taste is quite tart with cherry flavor and cherry pit bitterness on the finish, quite funky yeast. Medium body and carbonation. Really nice wild ale, similar to a lambic in yeast profile.

Bottle purchased from the reserve list at Bellwoods Brewery in Ontario, ON.
This one pours a nice vibrant red color, with a small head, and just a hint of lacing.
This smells like bright and juicy sour cherry, with some oak, with fruity and Bretty funk, some hay and leather and lemon. This smells phenomenal.
This is a tremendous cherry stained banger. There's some nice oaky bitterness, offset by a wonderfully forward and evocative sour cherry flavor, sweet cherry pie and cherry pit, with light lemony and leathery funk. It's incredibly drinkable and tasty, I could have like three bottles of this easily and feel no pain.
Can Bellwoods make a bad beer? Probably not.
