Stopped in here to visit Alan after a beer fest in Dillon. A cross between deck-house, lodge and cabin feel. High wood ceilings and nice open spaces provides comfort and some privacy. Big leather chairs and couches up front affords some chillaxing time with a nice brew.
They had a handful of beers on tap, and you can purchase bottles, 'pigs', and kegs to go. A couple of separate rooms for dining and a long upper deck/patio.

I had the Lumberjack pizza and it was quite good. Pretty good price and great service, although there weren't many people there for lunch on a sunday.

Beers were nice as always. Had a good time and toured the brewing facility. A must stop in Dillon/Frisco

really neat place, looks like an old ski lodge with exposed rafters and a big comfortable leather furniture setup and fireplace. lots of windows bright and sunny. empty though on a Thursday afternoon. there were about 8 beers on tap, all of which were passable, a few of which were exceptional. bartender was super nice and very very generous with the samples. we didn't eat, but the food looked pretty solid that other people were eating. a very comfortable place to drink beer. the double ipa was the pick for me, really heady and dank, bitter and big. things were fairly cheap too, priced to move. bombers were only $3.25, and all the beers we had came out to less than 20 bucks. this is a place I will definitely go back to. its not the best beer in the world, but the price is right and the vibe is good. definitely one of our favorite brewery stops along i70 passing through Colorado to Utah.

I'm going to be honest... I've been to this place twice. Never opened the food menu and I've never opened the beer menu. I know they have a good IPA. Otherwise, I've walked up the stairs to the bar, found a seat and asked the bartender what the seasonal/special release beers are. I've been happy with every offering. My previous visit I enjoyed a barleywine and Imperial Stout. On my most recent visit the Breakfast Stout was really tasty!

On both trips it wasn't busy but the service was been very good. I like the vibe of the place, rustic, lots of wood, great views of the lake and mountains. Backcountry fits the feel/look of Frisco very well and is a great stop.

One of these trips we need to skip Dillon and eat here. I would love to give write a more in-depth review but my stops have been in and out.

They do offer beer to go but no growlers per the bartender, party pigs an 22oz bottles of IPA and a couple others. Good prices.

If you are in the area, please stop. It is worth it!

A huge building at the end of downtown Frisco. Unfortunately most of the building is other shops and not all brewpub. The actual pub is upstairs. It is a spacious room with a view of Peak One. A great atmosphere, but really its hard to screw up atmosphere in Summit County. The beers are all good quality. I had the Wheeler Wheat, Peak One Porter, Breakfast Stout, Expedition ESB and Telemark IPA. No complaints about any of them. Service was good. It wasn't particularly crowded on an early Saturday afternoon. They had 6 or 7 beers on tap. I would like to see more brews on tap but they do bottle bombers and will fill a growler if you bring your own. I did not try the food. This is a good beer destination in Frisco (really, the only one).

Nice brewpub with updated features and good location. I had the sampler. Some really good beers, some decent. The Pilsner was like any other Pilsner. Good, but nothing special. The wheat was fairly good, but I'm not a big wheat fan. It reminded me of blue moon. The stout was like coffee, very tasty as was the porter. The porter was more like a stout, and the stout was like a coffed stout. The amber was very pleasing, standard amber. The IPA had a great hop aroma, but was lacking in the Hops taste department. And the Barley Wine was just delicious, with a very good hoppy finish. Food was good, service was good. Nice place to finish off the day after whitewater rafting.

They have an arcade room! And it has Ms. Pac-Man in it. And they serve pizza. So right there, this was a great bit of nostalgia for me as growing up, that was the best thing ever.

It's in a great location. They have a pretty nice menu. I had the fish tacos which were good/ok. My wife had the chili which was good/ok.

The amount of beers they have is great. Excellent variety there.

The atmosphere is nice. The inside feels fun and family like and they have a nice porch out the back with some nice views. It's on the upper floor. Neat view of their brewing equipment which extends from the first to second floor in a glass room.

The service was just ok. She did that thing which I hate where they drop off the check and say "whenever you're ready" even though I actually wanted more food an beer. Out of principal, I pay and leave when that happens, I don't know why. She seemed to just be 'summer help' though and I find anywhere you go where high school and college kids are working while they aren't in school all customer service suffers. The hostess was really nice though, and the bartenders seemed cool.

The bar area was a really really nice cozy corner with an amazing view of the lake and harbor. Really nice!

I'll totally go back and I'd recommend it to anyone. I can't wait to take my kids there and have them play arcade games, come back when the pizza is ready, and then go back to play games, and repeat. Just like I used to.

I was really impressed with Backcountry Brewery. The waiter/ bartender was great. Very attentive and personable. The beer was good. I had the porter and the IPA. Wife had the Wheat. I am always hesitant with Brew Pubs any more. All of the beers that we had were good. The food was also really good. We had the Greek Pizza and shared a bowl of chicken noodle soup. Very Tasty. I would highly recommend this place. Great after skiing and also a great view of the mountains while you have a beer and food. Located on Main street in Frisco, so very easy...

A regular stop en route to Breckenridge for me. Huge place, good beers, good food and great service. Telemark IPA is excellent, as is the breakfast stout. Had a couple of their ambers (not a huge amber fan in general), which was very drinkable, but will stick to their IPA. Good beer to go also, they have these crazy pig shaped to-go's. Pay a deposit and drop the empty off on the way back to the airport.

Very good brewery with good pub food and excellent service. Right on the way to Breckenridge (Route 9 South). Stop by if you're in the area.

A great out of the way place to visit if you ever have to endure the beautiful spring drinking in the rockies while your boss pays for a hotel for you. Of course he was getting a couple hours of work. The atmosphere itself is a little to be desired but the pizza was fantastic and seemed like a great place to hang out every night. I was there at the end of May and the beer selection was great with a great variety from the bitter hoppiness to the smooth and creamy. I look forward to going back so I can enjoy the breweries as much as the atmosphere surrounding this place.

Stopped by on the way to Vail. Easy to find. We got there a little before noon, and most people were watching the game in the bar. We were seated and ordered a sampler. I ordered the BBQ sandwich.

The beers were good. The Wheat beer was great, and the breakfast stout was excellent. I Should have skipped the sampler and gone straight for the stout.

Service was good, delivery was fast, and the food was very good. It's too bad I only get to Colorado every decade or so. I want to come back here.
