A - Black, thick, served with no head.
S - Lots of pine, not overly complex. Wishing for some semblance of the darker malt that the color promises.
T - Has plenty of piney hop flavor but there is surprisingly a ton of rich roasty coffee and bitter black malt. Also some baker's chocolate notes. Somehow this unassuming beer from a little brewery has produced possibly the best tasting Black IPA I have yet tried.
M - Medium bodied with a dry finish.
O - Very impressed here. Recommended.

Picked up a pint of this at lunch at Uptown Brothers for lunch. A brewery I have been wanting to try but hadn't had the opportunity.
A - The beer was served in a pint glass and arrived very deep dark brown, almost black, with a 1 finger off-white head with good retention and lacing throughout.
S - A nice blend of roasted barley and citrus, pine, and earthen hops. The nose was more balanced between roast and hop than the style seems to be heading, nice.
T/M - The beer was very similar in taste as found in the nose. It starts off with a pleasant blend of roast and hops found in the nose. Neither dominant but well blended, not a hop bomb, or killing it with malty sweetness or roast at all. The two compliment each other well. Medium bitterness. Finishes dry. Medium bodied with good carbonation.
O - Good brew, glad to have sampled. Well balanced and flavorful. I would order it again, makes me want to head up to Frisco even more.

On tap at the Falling Rock it was listed as Ore Cart but I saw it on the internet as Ore Bucket so whatever. Dark black color, light tan head, it certainly looks the part. The aroma was alright with a slight hint of hops but really smelled like a porter to me. I swear these "IBA's" are really just extra hoppy porters. The flavor was good, hoppy, and extremely easy to drink. I'd definitely order this again if I had the chance.
