Originally released in 2013 in Brimfield, Curiosity Five was the first beer that truly hit the novel Double IPA flavor profile we had envisioned but had yet to achieve until that point. It was a genuine milestone beer for us and one of the last beers we released in Brimfield.
To be honest, this beer, more so than perhaps even Julius, drove home the idea that we were onto something special at the time and inspired us to go all in.
It is one of the most singularly important beers I have ever brewed.

Growler purchased a few hours ago!
little too cold the first time
A- Hazy, rusty orange color with some brighter hues to the outside, big forthy off white head, looks great
S- Smells even better; Bright citrus, orange, mango, passionfruit, papaya, some hints of lemon-lime in the back, just a great bouquet of citrus awesomeness
T- great burst of orange/ passionfruit/mango at first that dissipates into lemon/grapefruit territory of bitterness, citrus beer cola comes to mind,
M- perfect carbonation to keep you drinking, beer isn't too thin, not too full bodied, dry enough to keep you wanting more
O- On top of how amazing this beer looks, smells and taste, the alcohol is hidden completely, thus making this insanely drinkable. Another delicious, dangerously drinkable hoppy offering from Tree House!

This is a re-brew. 16oz. can into a Side Project snifter. Shared with schen9303.
Pours thick, almost viscous. Orange with a thick, creamy, 1 finger white head with good retention. Thick, rich lace. Nose is citrus, mango, papaya, and clementine. A touch of bark and citrus rind as well. Moderately aromatic. Beer opens with notes of tea, mango, papaya, and cantaloupe. Thick on the palate. Huge fruit puree notes. Orange, more mango, and clementine in the middle. Heaps of citrus towards the end with a nice pineapple and starfruit brightness at the finish and aftertaste. This one's really good. Body is medium with moderate to ample carbonation. Fluffy and light on the palateand goes down soft, quenching with a pillowy, dry aftertaste. Super drinkable.
This is a good one. A quintessential Tree House IPA.
