Served in an over-sized wine glass.
Appearance: A slight hazy gold that has sediments contributing to it's cloudiness. White head maybe 1/2" off the body settling quick with even lacing.
Smell: Heavy yeast, with a bread like scent with a little lemon skin. If you ask me it smells incredible. I would rate it higher but it isn't the strongest scent.
Taste: Heavy yeast, makes you think it's stronger than what it really is. Comes off a little sour right from the beginning making you think they really did use lemons to brew this beer.
Mouth: Medium, kinda sticky and semi dry.
Overall: Good beer, I have this bottle since the holidays and am finally around to getting to enjoying it. Hope all of you enjoy (in glass please)...Salud!

330 ml bottle. Lots of yeast visible on the bottom of the bottle. Poured carefully into my tulip glass. ABV is 7,5%.
Beer is golden yellow in colour, with a huge, almost four fingers in height, snow white head, thick at first, becomes soapy in texture after a while and soon end p as a thin film covering the beer.
On the aroma citrus fruits and very hoppy. Notes of green apple and bubblegum too.
Nice crisp taste, bitter from the very first moments. Behind the hops comes a malt flavour, just for a tiny bit though,as the hopsoverpower everything else. Alcohol is very well hidden.
Very dry on the palate, carbonationonly slighty above average and thin to medium body.
Overall a very nice, bittery refreshing beer.

Bottle: interesting stumpy llittle brown bottle, with a stylish old-school Belgian label. Reaks of quality.
Appearance: a hazy yellow body with a foamy head that drops quickly to a one-finger off-white with good retention.
Aroma: sweet malts with citric fruits and a definite yeast backing. No hint of alcohol considering the ABV.
Taste: again quite soft considering the ABV - a smooth and creamy honey-malt followed by the lemon citric flavours, all backed by the Belgian yeasts. Quite impressive.
Aftertaste: lingers quite well indeed - that yeast is wonderfully rounded in the mouth. Definitely a sipper, which is fortunate considering the cost per bottle.
Mouth feel: medium in body with fine carbonation that allows one to savour the flavour.
Overall: a great example of Belgian strong ales. Definitely worth having when the bank balance will allow.

Straw color with a thin white head. The St. Veil lien glass with the etched bottom kept the head on the beer. Classic Belgian beer aroma. A nice clean malt flavor with little to no bitterness. Well carbonated, plenty of carbonation as the beer rolls across the palate. A full bodied beer with a lingering malt finish.
This is a classic Belgian blonde beer that I would strongly recommend to first time Belgian beer drinkers.

A: Slightly darker than an AAL, with a massive amount of rising carbonation. Barely poured the glass half foam.
S: High quality soap. Floral
T: Warm but subtle hops. Warm malt, apple, floral with a bit of tang. Grassy.
M: A bit drying with a light to medium body and a light but sharp sting.
O: Pretty good. Different for a blonde

Cougz - I bought this one for the bear.
-The Bear
A - A cloudy straw honey color. Massive creamy head when poured into a St. Feuillien Goblet
S - sweet honey notes with wet hay and bread lots of bread
T - Nicely balanced, its simple but nice, i get some nice earthy almost tart yeasty notes(A bit like a saison) with wet hay, under ripe Banana Resin, dry finish
M - Medium/high body and a little sticky
O - Loved it, like no other blonde i've had. Unique.
Cougz - its a nice tart banana finish, and dry. This is one i would drink again!

Another Belgian Blonde, why? Because Blondes have more fun! Today's St Feuillien hopefully won't have those askew characters noted in Brune and be a delightful dip into the world of Abbey ales, fingers crossed!
Poured from a 330ml bottle into a St Feuillien chalice.
A: The body presents a nice cloudy flaxen blonde (borders on straw) with a chalky 0.5cm head that invites the first sip.
S: Bubble-gum, tart apple characters are noted straight away. There is a slight sourdough yeast in the body, along with candi sugar and a hint of malt grains. It's quite pleasant with that overlay of fruit aromas drawing one in.
T: Straight out the gates with a bang goes this blonde - immediately assailing the taste buds with sharp citrus, spicy pepper and tart apples. The bold statement is backed up by a candi sugar, malt and yeast body and it finishes off with a twist of hop bitterness at the end. Alcohol is reasonably well hidden behind that candi sugar hit. Big flavours in a small glass, it may be too big for some.
M: Dense carbonation with a touch of aggression. The body is spot on mid-heavy for a Belgian blonde.
D: So far it's been an average at best dubbel brune and a real corker of a blonde, can't wait to try the triple now. As for the blonde, the bold flavour statement may be a little too crass and barnyardy, but if you're like me (and you know you are!) then it's just the beer ticket out of Mundanetown - population: a bunch of losers.
Food match: It's a bit of a dessert affair (which is anyone's game), but I could see it match with some more exotic fare like; roast pheasant with greens, potatoes and sauce. Or even more exotic; a Bison Tetrazzini, or some Aussie cuisine; Kangaroo Fillet with Cream Sauce, sounds good.

Had this beer, here and there in Europe and the USA. I see it rarely so I jump on it when I happen upon it.
Has a very unique taste. I'm thinking I could pick out this beer in any blind taste test..(only the Grand Cru, of this beer might fool me because it has a very similar taste---but higher in alc).
I love the look and the zest of this beer.
A nice sparkling gold color with a healthy Belgian head and tasting on the lighter side, but still packing a 7.5 abv. A good summer beer, tho it's good anytime for me.
Btw---I love that label!

A: Pours a hazy yellow with two fingers of white head that fades into a cap with great lacing.
S: Light spice notes up front with some sweet fruits. Light yeasty notes bring up the finish.
T: Spices notes up front with a lot of bready characters with some dry yeast notes as well. There are some slightly tart fruit notes as well.
M: Medium-light body with highish carbonation, this beer is is nice and dry.
O: An alright beer overall, though a bit bland and lacking depth. It has a nice body, but is just boring.
