Very good example of the style (from what a person who's never been to Dusseldorf can tell, anyway). Brilliantly clear copper color with little head. Clean aroma (i.e., no yeast) with a hint of caramel. Firm bitterness throughout with a dry finish and a bit of caramel to balance things out.

Now this is more like it! Pours out a clear brown-tinged amber color with three fingers of cream colored foam that lasts for two minutes and leaves some attractive lacing patterns behind on the inside of the glass. Medium-light body and carbonation levels.

I get a nice mellow caramel-nutty-grassy trinity out of this one, with the fruitiness of the yeast stripped back to a bare minimum, as it ought to be in an alt. Clean, subtle, and refreshing, sessionable even! This one actually hit the target it was aiming for IMO, and I find myself wanting to go back and revisit this brew later. It's tough to find good alts around here...
