Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Pours deep red amber, bordering on a brownish crimson. 1-1/2 fingers white foam with good retention and lacing.
Mild sweet smell, but otherwise not able to grab anything specific.
Taste is mixture of light fruit, mild hop and caramel sweet. Possesses a real bite/toasted sharpness at the finish that makes the close memorable.
Good carbonation in the mouthfeel.
Drinkable brew - this was my first Bell beer, and I'd be interested in sampling some of the other varietals whould I get the opportunity.
