On tap at Bells Eccentric Cafe, served in a snifter.
Pour: Mostly hazy deep ruby, with a touch of mahogany. Barely and eight of an inch of fizzy head that subsides quickly to a rim. No lacing.
Smell: Big burst of raspberry sweetness up front, followed by some lactic sourness and a nice funk. A touch of oak. Some white vinegar creeps in. Finishes with lots of raspberries and funk.
Taste: Follows the nose with a burst of overripe raspberries, but a smack of big lactic sourness. Lots of tartness and some oak and juicy pear and raspberry through the middle. Finishes with funk and tartness.
Mouthfeel: More tart than I was expecting, but very drinkable. Carb is very prickly, but refreshing.
Overall: I'm glad I made the trip to Bell's to try this. Delicious!

Huge thanks to raveskdr for the assist on this one. Served in a mini snifter. Pours a nice brownish-red color with a short white head and a spot or two of lacing. The nose carries a nice earthy raspberry aroma along with a nice underlying malt and tartness. Flavor has a light maltiness behind the fruit. Good acidity. A very nice addition to the base beer.
