Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass
Appearance: Jet black with cherry red tinge to it, slight head
Smell: Excellent mix of typical coffee aroma with fermented cherries
Taste: Great flavor. The coffee and cherry flavors really complement each other quite well. Almost no alcohol taste. Is not overly sweet.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and rich. A little more viscous than some stouts.
Drinkability: I thought my bottle was very drinkable. The flavors and aromas kept me wanting to come back for more.
I'd say this is a very good interpretation on a fruit flavored stout. It has good presentation and is a good drink. The only knock I have on this is the price. Six packs can be north of $16.
