8.7 srm; 16.5 IBUs. Tasted at the brewery.

Lightly cloudy. Light gold color. Small head but leaves good stringy lace.

Gives off a very mild smell that is semi-sour with a touch of coconut in the background.

The flavor has a definitive coconut taste to it. Some sweetness from the malt but there's a touch of bitterness in the swallow. Crisp for an ale. I applaud the use of an entirely unexpected ingredient (coconut) in an otherwise Golden Ale. It makes me curious about using it in other styles. I immediately think of a rich chocolate Porter--something akin to a Mounds candy bar.
