A CALIFORNIA COMMON BEER, OUR 844 IS A 100% AMERICAN STYLE LAGER WITH A GOLDEN AMBER COLOR. THE MEDIUM BODIED LAGER HAS MILD HOP CHARACTERISTICS BUT A VERY DISTINTIVE FLAVOR PROFILE OF REFRESHING CITRUS AND APRICOTS. THESE FLAVORS ARE DUE TO THE PROCESS OF FERMENTING THE BEER WITH A LAGER YEAST AT ALE TEMPERATURES, PROVIDING A CLEAR, CRISP BEER YOU WON'T FORGET.

A hazy deep amber colour, 1" head of foam.

I smell an apricot kind of hoppiness going on that has a light bitterness, some light notes of bread.

The taste is apricot citrus, earthy bready malt, good amount of sweet per bitter ratio.

Good lightish mouthfeel and body...carbonation is on the low side.

This is a nice beer of the style that's easy to drink a couple of glasses of, no problem. So far, my favourite from the brewery.
